The trailer alone is a let down mentioning all these legends are going to be in it but Instead they had a mix of small/shared parts while they focused on the new riders. crailtap was still on riding that wave of what fully flared did in 07 imo. Lastly the hd/slomo was kinda gross it seemed pretty forced and the skits were pretty wack especially the one with jack black.
I went to the premier, it missed the full potential. The talent is there, the presentation was not. This is a board company, and at the time one of the biggest.girl and chocolate were known to be the super star team. But it didn’t feel like a video of that caliber overall. Of course after this the company has rlly changed and that status has yet to be reclaimed
@@RedVelvetUnderground333 I totally agree with you on that. I’ll always have love for crailtap tho. Their impact was big. I know skateboarding is based on trends and I wonder how long the strobeck style editing will last?
@@dOuPdMe I think it will be around for a long time. I like most of stroebeck techniques, tbh they are simple filming techniques. What makes it bad is the overuse of it. On its own it makes the camera more dynamic and for the viewer to be kept engaged on what will the reveal will be. In sd filming the tighter filming size,having the two sides cut off, has the element of surprise. It is so minor but it’s effective. Again the overuse of zooms and pans will make it less impactful and even ruining the trick by cutting off too much. Fully flared is top tier and this is kinda like the follow up , the sequel just missed the mark. What recent brand videos do u enjoy?
