Sorry, I love my diras. it's the quickest way to get comfortable when you get home. They do come in stylish fashions too you know. Love the last piece you wore too.
Dera is my lifestyle and traditional attire dear and cheap for us and cannot be ditched at all. Would have been important instead of saying "Ditch Dera for..." You could have said try this fashionable home wear.
I am not gonna lie, I love this video in its entirety. I love the fits. But girl, I have laughed for a whole four minutes looking at the prices. 49k on what??! Lovely video
Except for the stocking kwa Kichwa....I think the rest is just ok.Motherhood is no joke haki ...sometimes you find yourself so busy with the kids until you even forget about yourself . Thanks for this though..eye opener❤️
I'm so guilty of the hoodie, dera, and rights. I love you content. Truth be told though, you're up there. How many Kenyans can buy a cloth worth 4k for a home wear? You're lifestyle doesn't reflect the real wanjiku. Even if you say buy them polepole, I'm still sure 99.9% of us can't buy a housewerar for 6900. Anyway lanes.
First of all, get your deras resized, always, and not a straight up and down resize like the way the dera is sewn from the get but get a fundi to take your measurements and resize it with snatched waist and all. Secondly, deras are everything, they are life. I love them.
I am single and praying to be happily married, this video has been of help. I honestly need to revamp my lounge wear even as a single woman! Thanks so much! New subbie :D
😅😅😅, wow, this is a great presentation. Catherine, you look great in everything, even the Dera. You are quite a model. The levelled up look is "goals" because it's classy, decent and more appealing. I find the Dera (plus inner wear) very liberating to wear while doing house chores. It's also very comfortable but a decent Lady should put on inner wear while wearing it indoors or outdoors. The Dera = Feminine Fashion Freedom the African way. As Africans, we need to also love, guard and embrace our own cultural clothes. My sister recently told me she hasn't reached the age of wearing Deras when I told her I would buy her a Dera as a gift because that's the one thing I knew she doesn't own. I am only 3 years older than her and young too but that's when I learnt (the hard way) that sadly, Deras are judged in ways I didn't imagine and intentionally avoided by all means (by some some ladies). Challenge accepted 💪💃💃#womensecret
Fashionable Stepmum, you are a breath of fresh air!😍 Just today, I stumbled on the video where your daughters were rating your outfits and I've been exploring more. I can so relate to this topic. I always choose comfort over style at home and....come close... (whispering) even when I go shopping!🙈 Dressing up for any event is a chore in itself for me but you are so right - I am more MOTIVATED when I'm dressed up. Now I'm encouraged to make more effort, especially during this lockdown. Keep making great videos and never let the haters get your attention. New subbie from London 😘
Wah! Unani bamba has me in stitches! I am in love with that one. I sleep in a pararad "Pilsner" "imara kama simba" t-shirt. I cannot be separated from it.
Kila nyani na starehe zake...people have different tastes and preferences. The only rule is decency. if you are decent in a dera or tights and a simple top.. its just fine.
I'm laughing so hard... The Nigerian sound effects for look 1 got me lol. And how pple wear Dera to the supermarket 😂. Anyway challenge accepted my lounge wear and esp because I'm a SAHM only leaves the hse when I need to. I should upgrade.. Great content there
Best video ever!! I'll be levelling up in this area 👍 i love the pants pieces...that's the look i'm going for this year... Oh can u do a video on feminity for the African woman. The ones available are by African American women and we can't relate on some things. Thnx!
I can't relate with the first 4 looks. I hate tights unless when working out. I'm always in sweat pants and a tee. I am definitely going for looks 1 and 2 in the second part. Thanks for the wake up call classy ma'am. Love from Sheey 💕
I hate dera, t-shirts , leggings ,all types of sneakers (unless am working out), headwrap, crocs, blue lipstick lol flipflops, open shoes with socks (all these things scream I am tired with life)
you look classy in outfit 3,the way it effortlessly flows on u andhow its very proportionate and that kind of white is actually good for your skin tone too, 4 is good but u rock 3 the best
Aaaah I love I don't know why I didn't find your channel earlier.. Good thing I can always go back to them....am guilty of the oversize shirt and tight
Lovely pieces but not sure if these would be considered as lounge wear in some countries…more like pj’s which you really should not be hanging around the house in all day/daily IMO. But definately looking decent while indoors lifts one’s spirits! :-)
Hii promo T-shirt na tights ni Mimi kila siku😂😂..I don't even know which events napromote kwa nyumba.. But I def need an upgrade..😂 Nice video.. Kama kawaida❤
I just started watching your videos after the ebru tv interview and I am hooked👌🏽👌🏽 Please do a feature on the hair and moreso the wigs ( i love them and especially the one you had on today🔥🔥)
@Kenyane Daniels we welcome you whole heartedly to Ladies World. Hope the other men get the "memo" so they can learn a thing or two. Thank you for joining in and being man enough to drop a genuine comment. Wow! so amazing. You are what I call a renaissance man. Welcome!!!!!!
U 're lovely. Thank God for your life. I was always in my dressing gown..now I'll look into ur recommended styles! My advice: For those who can afford women's secret products, go for it. For others who aren't yet able, use what u have-
Jesu mwathani and I just got 3 new somali deras, this transition is going to be mathogothanio, been trying though...😂😭🤣 this is a nice informative video though 🤩

I have learnt so much from this vlog.....am gonna create my own lounge outfit's.....and by the they don't have to be from the Women Secrets or expensive ..sindiyo🤷😂🥰. Just good looking ones, with positive vibes... You have great content. This was great.👍👍
We have to accept our own culture and stop leaning on western cultures, dera is what make our african women and proud to rock it , lets stop this culture of degrading our own .. i walk in the streets of florida and with my deras
I’m with you sis, I wear mine all the time but I think I’ll use these ideas when feeling bougie and dainty sometimes. I don’t think she’s assimilating but I can admit that I look like mama boga when I wear my dera 😂😂
Why do people hate you??? This is my first ever video of yours to see... just saw you trending on thrift after this first watch I like you... totally subscribing
How about lounge wear that you can wear outdoors as well.? Say you need to rush to the nearby kiosk to get something or make the school run to drop off the kids?
Oh wow... This is among my favorite vids on this channel... So awesome. And the Two last looks are mmmwah! The designs at the back are quite sassy and classy. Love it
Outfit no.1 in the upgrading outfit are allover in most shops in MiddleEast for relaxing in the house....others wear them inside buibuis i like them by the way... they got varieties even shorts and hot pants matching with tops.
Wanjiru Karago please advise which shops they can be found especially in Dubai I’m sure it would be cheaper over there when one travels. Here things are overpriced
Hey guys. Enjoy the video and let me know what your thoughts are :)
Please do a tutorial on eye make up. MashAllah keep it up
Much love
Love everything. The Tights and T is my everyday look lol. But I also like wearing comfy dresses (not deras)

True. Diras are the most practical and work for majority . What I like about what she presents. .. We should not fear to go a notch higher.
She looks like a sweet reserved woman 😊, she was even shy to show us the back designs for No.s 3 & 4
Dera is my lifestyle and traditional attire dear and cheap for us and cannot be ditched at all. Would have been important instead of saying "Ditch Dera for..." You could have said try this fashionable home wear.
Lol, but you can still get nice pj's at $5 full set... Anyway to each their own
I like how conscious you are of being decent at home

Love this video...I am guilty of the T-shirt and tights!😊but I really love love love the last two! They are so beautiful and delicate!
the last outfit is goals!!!!!
Love the ideas, though i don't think we have to ditch the dera, its a beautiful representation of an African woman, its good we embrace our culture.
Dirac what you call Dera is Somali cultural dress it naturally from our traditions
Aki si umeshout kwa hii video😂😂😂..I'm going for shopping
Hi! I'm a t-shirt and tights girl so look number 1 is the closest. Could you please share where you got the black head wrap?
We love the dera. Shida ni wale petite dera looks like a kanzu. But the curves makes the DERA something else
Waaaa😂😂savage
Marlon Malacki yaaaah
I am very guilty of look #3 my house is always cold so I wear my onesie everyday. I’ve been wearing it for 4 years now 😅😅😅😅
Onesies are cute. I really don't see what the big deal is with them. Also tee and tights/sweatpants are the official loungewear uniform🤣
Very affordable indeed.... Will start saving!
Very fashionable for sure, but the price is not affordable too pricey
Love the lounge wear. Definitely getting me some
This is really nice! Will pass by the shop. Upgrading ni lazima
