We had travellers break into and move onto our local park. The park wasn’t useable when they left, human and dog faeces, piles of branches dumped after doing tree trimming locally, it was disgusting. I daren’t take my dog there for ages

We went to a car boot sale on our motorcycle in front of gypsy camp. We weren't off of it 10 minutes and came back to it and they already had called their caravan to pick it up. It had been raining and you could see their finger prints on the seat and the tag on the back of the bike. They have walkie talkies and are very organized. We surprised them walking up on them, jumping on and taking off with the bike before they could steal it or put a tracker on it. That guy that said the property value will be ok is lying.

In any country or communitity what is not acceptable is to be above the law,it creates inequality and unfairness.If the traveller site is legal for 30 families only they cannot have more than that,end of.Near my home a couple of years ago a group of travellers moved into an empty car sales plot that had fences.Children barefeet near the road,rubbish everywhere,neighbours living in fear.Eventually the police was involved and they left leaving behing a trail of destruction and a high bill to pay for the council in the surroundings and the owner of the land inside the plot.

If only 30 lots were allocated by the council then only 30 parties would be paying council rates, if the other 70 lots don't exists then how are those 70 parties that are there illegally paying council rates. I am so grateful for my neighbours, they are lovely, we all get along beautifully.....we have had nightmare neighbours in the past, only 2 instances, we lived in many different countries and were lucky to have wonderful neighbours, still stay in touch after decades; nightmare neighbours ruin your life and your peace of mind, sorry for anyone with awful, anti social neighbours.....lady on one side of us, well into her 80's and failing health, might be going to a retirement community, we are a bit worried, ha, ha, ha.

We had “travellers” turn up in a lay by on the main road in our tiny village. We were out for the day and our dear neighbour challenged some of the kids in our garden stealing the apples from our trees. Apparently the belonged to God and were there for everyone. i wish that I had been at home when the thieving little swines broke in. No sympathy.

The fact that over half of the travelers are there illegally and can't be removed, understandably, doesn't sit well with the community. Fly tipping and raw sewage from the traveler camp running onto the neighbor's property is a health hazard and needs to be addressed. The traveler representative refused to admit they have dumped rubbish. AFter throwing insults at each other they have finally been able to compromise and work toward a solution.

My guess is the counsel rates have been combined and divided by 100. So 30 sites worth of rates paid by 100 sites.

You obviously haven't a clue what you're on about. Irish Travellers are well known for the strong links to IRA terrorists. Sure they're involved together in the stolen car and diesel laundering rackets. A well known Irish Traveller who sold cars and scrap metal was robbed by a game in the infamous Irish site Dunsink Lane in Finglas Dublin. One of the young fellas who robbed father was a member of the IRA, and they still hot the IRA to give them a hiding, and the main one was kneecapped so he wouldn't be robbing /rallying any time soon. As for going to prison, if you're dead how can you report it, if your body is never found, then officially there's no murder as it would be classed as just a missing persons case.

How can he claim that anything is improved when there is still RAW SEWAGE in the drain? The houses belonging to the travellers looked lovely...clean and nice. Honestly, if i have a bias it's probably for the gypsies, but good God, sewage in my garden would make me livid, and the rubbish isn't much better. We had “travellers” turn up in a lay by on the main road in our tiny village. We were out for the day and our dear neighbour challenged some of the kids in our garden stealing the apples from our trees. Apparently the belonged to God and were there for everyone. i wish that I had been at home when the thieving little swines broke in. No sympathy.

The fact that over half of the travelers are there illegally and can't be removed, understandably, doesn't sit well with the community. Fly tipping and raw sewage from the traveler camp running onto the neighbor's property is a health hazard and needs to be addressed. The traveler representative refused to admit they have dumped rubbish. AFter throwing insults at each other they have finally been able to compromise and work toward a solution.
Len is his own worst enemy, he comes across as a nutter. Kathleen is trying to portray the travellers as blameless, which is obviously bullshit. I feel sorry for Bob.
