I don’t get it. I have a high-quality wifi setup. On my Arcade1up machines, my wifi ping is between 16-32. When I play Fightcade on wifi, my ping is 132-200. The input lag is horrible. I don’t have any way to use wired, since it would take 500ft of cables to reach my machine. After 300ft of wired cable, there is signal degradation. What can you do? 🤷
Ping is relative to what/who you are communicating with. FightCade displays your opponents ping to you, as what Arcade1Up does. So whatever ping you are seeing is just a representation of the distance between you and the player. If you followed this tutorial and did everything I mentioned, then your input lag is 0 (better than Arcade1Up)
one question i did the same options for your video but i can't use the fullscreen mode because of a black screen when i start the game, there is a fix for that thing ?
Not particularly good with delay 0 and runahead 2 against players with over 150ms-200ms. Runahead off or Runahead 1 with delay at 1 is probably a better option if you insist on playing vs overseas players but as a competitive player I typically avoid anyone not in my same region or continent.
In windowed mode under video settings, drop the menu down and click select blitter, and then try different blitters. Depending on your computers video card setup fullscreen might not be possible with certain blitters. The basic and/or soft blitters should work on all computers though.
Great point and this is something I have also come to realize. However the negative impacts of this in my opinion are much greater in games like street fighter 3rd strike or super turbo. However you can always just play people who are geographically close to you. Runahead off is also not a bad option as long as in fullscreen and smoothing at 0.
It does not because it's a local machine thing. it's not actually sending any other/different data to your opponent than it would otherwise. You may get lagged for a moment once they switch over to fullscreen. On fightcade1 it was reported that fullscreen somehow caused issues for the opponent but I believe thats been fixed.

FC is only possible play good if you are wired, bc the old games doest work good with wifi.

I generally avoid run-ahead these days, because of rollbacks. 1-frame run-ahead kind of means rollback frames plus 1 when a rollback happens...

I haven't been active too much on FightCade and so I haven't had a chance to test MvC2 on Flycast yet but I may make a video on it if it calls for it.
