People saying Middlesbrough looked good. Seriously???? They had most of the possession but did absolutely nothing with it. Patterson had nothing to do.
Completely agree I think it’s something we’re really good at which is nullifying teams and not allowing them to play
Boro didn't create chances apart from the Conway header hitting the bar, yes they are good side but they weren't cutting us open which a lot of teams have had a problem doing
We see what you're saying, but they (Middlesbrough) do have the highest xG in the Champ so far. And in this game they had 63% possession with two big chances missed. But yes, evidently Sunderland were not completely being cut open. Big credit to their defensive display so far
@@thefootballpark yeah which Boro didn't take story of their season, it's our style in some games we will have less possession but catch teams on break which we have done we are ruthless, stadium of light is becoming a fortress, we aren't naive & aren't a young squad who don't know what the championship is all about
Exactly m8 don't know what game these two were watching 😂😂borough had more possession but they were going side to side and backwards 😂😂
@@goosemav8628 there opinion but based on nothing
Sunderland let Boro have ghe ball, played the game exactly how we should. Boro have proven they struggle when teams narrow the spaces and we have the quality in transition to kill teams. We could have pressed them to death like we have done all season but Le Bris played in to Boros weaknesses which is exactly what good coaches do. Carrick on the other hand has no plan B. Patterson in goal had nothing to do, outside the Conway chance early doors they created pretty much nothing. Comfortable
You say young side alot I've said a few times this is the youngsters 3rd season back in the championship so they know what this league is about plus we have Ballard,Mepham, browne, paveda, Roberts who have vast championship experience
It's a great blend of youth and senior players. The perfect match, right?
@@thefootballpark 100% I'm loving it long way to go but it seems something is building here & the players are buying into everything le bris has brought
You say Boro about xg etc they have failed to beat Portsmouth, Preston, Derby whereas we've beaten both Boro & Burnley without conceding a goal against them we aren't getting tested or put under real pressure but that says a hell of a lot, please stop saying we're naive or have young players who don't know what championship brings as they know
Poveda’s played roughly 40 championships games in his career. Hardly vast championship experience.
@@jarraandyftm well 1 player out of Ballard,Mepham who has over 100 championship appearances, Roberts, Browne who has over 400 appearances in the championship so we have enough to know what this league is about we also have Simon Moore goalkeeper who is experienced in this league as well so my point is we know what we're doing
Not sure if this is true but i think conway costs as much as Sunderlands team
