Each episode is a diamond in a necklace. The wait for every episode is like waiting for the next issue of a weekly magazine when you are reading a serial story of your favourite author 👏👏👏
Dear Sanjay, Thank you for speaking about Alathur brothers. My father was a great fan of them and his favourite was Chakkani Raja in Kharaharapriya. Its still very close my heart and it never fails to uplift my mood when am feeling dull 😀. Warm regards, Lalitha
When I was a kid of hardly 5 years, my parents , along with me used to visit Trichy now and then to see my elder sister Rajalakshmi studying in Seethalakshmi Ramasamy college , we used to stay in Mayavaram Lodge , when Sanjay spoke about Mayavaram lodge , I reminisced the fond memories of those days .
Dear SS Sir, I cannot describe how much I enjoy and appreciate these gems you present. It is intoxicating in a positive way. I was born in S Africa & live in Jhb; these anecdotes gives me a sense of being among the musical elite.
I wait every Saturday for this video of "On that note ". Very interesting information and you get to know about the vidwans of yester years. Love this program totally
I belong to the very old generation and was fortunate enough to listen to and enjoy the music concerts of the stalwarts . Though decades have rolled on I understand the nuisances of their music from your "on that note" only . Thanks a lot
Really very nice appreciation presented about Aalathur subbaier and srenivasier's style of singing Ragalapana, kriti rendering,Ragam,Thanam, pallavi exetra by sanjay Subramaniam.👌👍👐
My father's favourite song of Alathur brothers was "chandrashekhara". He told my guru to teach me this song. Sanjay sir, I feel now I don't miss my parents. U r bringing all those memories back which most of us r unaware. Pl.continue your journey. We all love this .
Sir, You are one of those oddities who never let shadow of cinema fall on you. If anybody wants to hear a pure classical concert of the gone-by era - you are one of those countable few to fall back upon. You have already set a Sanjay padanthara, am sure. Pranams.
I know S Thyagarajan. He was stickler and kept up the tradition of concerts at Trichy. There used to be Thinnai kutcheri at their homes. Lovely to see mention of him.
on top of all else that's so lovely in these episodes, for me, a lover of language, and of tamil, is how S mixes his tamil and english....using tamil for the more intimate bits...the english is like the peel of the mango here, the fruit is the Tamizh. Pazham Nee.
Sir, Have you sung the song "பெண்குடுத்தனாரையா "in ragam Kunthalavarali on Lord Muruga. This song was composed by your Guru sri.C.K. I have heard this song sung by sri. THIRUVENGADU JAYARAMAN sir. If so, please download that great song. Sivakumar
It would be so helpful if all the compositions mentioned in the video is listed down in the description box for all the “on that note” episodes so that all the newbies and amateurs can find them / learn them / enjoy them
