Seriously, I didn't want this video to end. Felt sad when it ended. I feel you can go on and on and you SHOULD! THANKS for such a wonderful series!

You are so lucky sir, your memories are great and cheerful.
Tears in my eyes. The last sentence. You are truly blessed
We are ardent devotee of you Sanjay and semmangudi too
So nice sir im a kathukutty on carnatic at age of 38. I feel bliss you have had with these legends...
The last line....aho bhagyam. Blessed soul.
Wear the Semmangudi! What a beautiful demonstration of humility🙏
Thanks for wearing his devotion to music🙏
Lovely. When he sang the padam it was like listening to Semmangudi himself and when he sang thodi, it was like listening to nadaswaram. Great. 🙏🙏
Wow what a lucky person sir u r anda shemmangudi what a great blessings of semmangudi sir's blessings having and i like yr way of telling d experience of yrs iam a big fan of u dir🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
🙏 Sanjay. Moments after watching this, I am tempted to share about Semmengudi Mama 's act related to my younger brother Sandhyavandanam Poorna Pragna Rao. Once he heard him singing a Muthuswamy Dikshita composition. He signed a blank white paper and gave it to him saying you can make use of it as my "Aashirvaada vachanam"-words of Blessings-"Appa Maha Yogyada Ulla Vidwan. Naanga yellarum serdundu droham pannittom".
Thank you Sanjay sir for insightful comments on. the
All time great semmangudi
Sweet. wonderful Todi, always so amazing when vocalists sound exactly like Nadaswaram, which brings to mind the famous verse from the great Japanese poet Issa: "isnt it so, that sometime children imitating cormorants, is even better than cormorants.?"
What a beautiful episode like others, thanks for sharing sir
The punch at the end was too good! Couldn't resist laughing while listening to the new name for angavastram. The great Semmangudi will be happy to reside on your shoulder (like Panduranga on Tukharam).
😆😆😆😆😆👌👌
My goodness.. so amazed at your art of story telling.. what a stalwart...
You could imitate his voice so perferfectly. Great
Last line, brought tears sir. Very humble . Down to earth soul. You are blessed ro received from his hand sir.
I started loving you when I first heard you singing that song
Such a beautiful recollection Sanjay! I was cracking up at the naming of the Angavastram!
What a story🙏🙏🙏🙏
amazing sanjay...u r a quintessential student of this Music . perhaps the best..
Very beautifully narrated the interesting anecdotes
Heart Touch experience with him
❤️❤️
Such brilliant reminiscences of my favourite singer. Need a part 2 and part 3😀
Really enjoyed this anecdote! Semmangudi mama was a family friend and I had the good fortune of once listening to him teaching MS mami a song at her home in Kalki Gardens. This was on one of my visits to Madras with my parents in the mid 1960's and it turned out to be an unusual opportunity to see how a brilliant teacher and a brilliant "student" exchanged knowledge. The song was "Maye, Twam-Yaahee". Both were stars
in their own right at the time.
Can u please tell the name of the padam
Simplicity is where God lives!! Proven one more time!! 💐
Great memories ☝️ to remember always. ClassicalMusic---- the one even sages like.." Thumburu " and " Narada " can not renounce " ಪ್ರಣಾಮಗಳು to Shemmangudi 🙏🙏🙏
Gratitude is something to be felt in the "unarvu", kekkumpodhu pullarikkaradhu.
Sanjay speaks with deep knowledge and respect to seniors.
It's greatly rewarding listening to him singing or reminiscing.
Well said . Semmengudi mahan . Tirukodikaval Ganesan
What a brilliant observation about the legend Semmangudi & sung the identical way

Loved your ancedote about Semmangudi mama and the way you sang like him.
Truly touching ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
Truly Blessed! Memorable episode!
A fantastic and heart warming remembrance which evokes as much admiration for the deity as for the bhakta. Sanjay has an inexhaustible store of amazing stories to tell and recounts them as no one else could.
Loved every bit of it.. And yes, there’s just One Semmangudi ..
What amazing anecdotes about your interactions with the legendary semmangudi mama !
Sanjay Anna.. apart from being a modern legend of Carnatic music, ur timeless stories and peerless love for the wizards of yesteryears adds lustre to ur ever growing folklore!
There were three high points in this episode, thodi, u breaking into padam and finally semmangudi mama around ur neck as a garland of blessings all the time!
Yes, well said. Sri Sanjay Saar is our modern Legend Great Singer.and he is handling everything very nicely.. Needooli Valzha🙏
👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great. One of the best on the Pithamaha! Shows a lot of his personal and human side. Thks.
These personal anecdotes are pure gold! Keep them coming aiyar
Wow. Great to hear. U are blessed Sir.
That was so beautiful 😍🥰
That was tearjerking in the end…. 👍🏼
Brilliant may god keep you blessed always 🙏
Shemmangudi mama was brought alive in the Padam demonstrated by Sanjay sir.
He is presenting a delectable series.
Can u please tell the name of the padam
Wow,what a great feeling listening to anecdotes about your interactions with the Devine Semangudi ,Sanjay. I had the pleasure of hearing his RTP in Kambodi and O Rangasayi in Delhi when I was 12. It never left me. Bhakti Sangeet is Semangudi and a true gift from God. Thank you Sanjay
Heart-warming, inspiring.
Such a beautiful interaction. God bless you both. 🙏🙏❤
This personal note was most enjoyable.Thank you
Your stories always amazes me sir thanks 🙏
What stories, Sanjay !
Thank you for narrating such heartfelt stories
On that Note this is the best episode of all. Particularly your mimicking sri. Semmangudi is very exact and heart warming. Thank you Sir.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Love the energy in your stories!!
Blessed you are!!
Super. The way u made mimicry of Semmangudi mama also v funny . U r really blessed to be associated with great Musicians. Purva Janma Sukruthi
What an interesting way of narration..... Grt sir🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful series and very heart warming to listen to such wonderful memories and stories of yours!!!
Legends. I mean both⭐⭐
You are a brilliant raconteur! You remind me of another such brilliant raconteur who also, like you, is a stalwart in his field, which happens to be your other major interest - Sunil Gavaskar. Both of you recreate the situation with your vivid description including apt mimicry, eye for important and relevant details and finishing 'on that (high) note'. Not surprised though because timing is as important in cricket as carnatic music. 👍
Wow ...
Sir, you were very fortunate to get their anugrahams. Hearing your experiences gave us goosebumps. Awaiting to meet you during your concert in Dubai in October, as announced by you
You are very lucky sir. May God bless you with more and more achievements in carnatic music field.
Wow!! Fantastic to hear about these experiences.
Generosity of SEMMANGUDI Mama is something great. Ready to teach and willingness to share.
Very enjoyable anecdote about your interactions and learning from our very great Pitampura Sri.Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. Namaskaram on that note 🎵🙏☺️
Cha....chance ae illa sir, super.you are truely blessed by Semmangudi mama.Avar paadina thodi yai neengal engaluku paadi kaatiyirupadhu arpudham, anandam. Very interesting. Awaiting for the next episode.
👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is so so endearing ❤️ Sanjay sir neenga vera level 😍 That imitation of semmangudi mama's padam singing was top notch 😀
I am an follower of Sri Krishna Premi Swamigal and during his srimad Ramayana upanyasam there is situation when Countryman Guhan and how he was showered with overwhelming blessings by Lord Sri.Ramar. Likewise I know you are already blessed by 333 crores devathas and trinities and not limited to that I become speechless with your updates on that note about your association with the legends of all times! No wonder if Ariyakudi or any other legends whom you have never met will come alive and say that we passed away without realising that Musician like Sanjay Subramaniam will be out there in 20th century. So we took special permission with god to meet you and get on opportunity to share us “on that note”.
Very happy to learn that you are keeping Semmangudi so reverentially and safely in your house and heart. You are truly blessed by the Pitamaha.
I remember one interview when Semmangudi emphasised that within the first 10 seconds the singer should bring out the raga swaroopam in the alapanai/kriti and should not leave it to the rasikas to guess whether it is Bhairavi or Mukhari or anything else. And he immediately demonstrated by starting an alapanai for a minute or so. Respect to Semmangudi and you, Anna.
Yes and in that interview he beautifully demonstrated Kalyani and Shankarabharanam by changing the Madhyamam in the Ragam. It was an excellent interview.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Amazing , awesome, thanks for sharing your experience with legend semangudi mama. I heard he used to get up 4:00 AM every day and practice at home even when he was 60+. . Really enjoying the on the note 5 minute clip. Waiting for the third one in season 2. Will meet you soon in US.
Awesome recollection of events. Enjoyed every bit. I must confess that you are an amazing story teller 😃
Narrative report was excellent 👌, especially goosebumps story 👍
I very enthusiastically flow your ‘on that note’. I found it quite interesting and informative about artists and the art form! Please carry on your good work. I have a small request. I am an ardent fanatic of Late Sri Madurai mani Iyer and Sri M d Ramanathan. Please dedicate an episode on these great stalwarts when you can. This is my fervent appeal. I find when any musicians speak they always quote only Sri GNB or Sri Semmangudi and not MMI or MDR.
As if to answer your request, the latest episode is on MMI! 😎
Yes.I too am crazy about MDR and MMI.More notes on them please.
Very interesting.
Can somebody please tell the name of the padam
Quite moving.
I am also a fan of late shri Madurai mani iyer
Been a huge fan of your singing style. Your rendition and that classical ending on that note is as much a signature flourish as your singing style.
Your performance at Brussels especially the Nalinakanthi was so mesmerizing rendered at a scorching pace and precision.
Also loved the Kandena Govindana another favorite.
Keep up the good work, Anna.
Your passion for Carnatic music, knowledge and your candid nonchalance that can only come with mastery of the subject is what attracts your Rasikas like a magnet.
More power to you, Sanjay Sir!
Wow very nice anecdote and experience.Really goosebumps moment when u sang that thodi phrase.so overwhelming.
Such a pleasure to listen to you !! The anecdotal events are just amazing
Hugely blessed, for a treatise of the most interesting facts and events in the life of the Doyen Sri SSI. Very practical and down to earth. Thank you for your very natural and smooth flow of narration
Wonderful
so nice.
Once heard Iyer's presentation of Naradha Guruswamy Ikkanaina Kriti.
Stunned to listen to - his lively, brisk singing.
Strangely I felt I were among big Brahmotsavam crowd full of lights all around - such Thirunal atmosphere.
So much lively.
😭 Semmangudi Maama ❤
The way you tell stories of the great carnatic stalwarts is simply amazing . Same as reading RK Narayanan novels. 👍🏻 Very “ homely”!
👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nice stories about semmangudi. Sir I loved the way how you spoke and sang like him. I have also heard a bit of your rendition of Sri Ramam in narayanagowla on your RUclips channel
i got goose bumps.... Semangudi was my fav as well.. thanks a lot for this "ON THAT NOTE"
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. The way you explain with voice modulation is very impressive.
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
Interestingly narrated with great nasal imitation of the inimitable Semmangudi... 😃
*Semmangudi Sir jiயோட அங்கவத்ஸரம் எத்தனை பெரிய award? Again Mono acting like, voice Changes remind me of Radio days. There used to be Mrs Parvathy Ramanathan, telling stories changing the voice for each character and their emotion. Superb.*
The best 5 minutes in my life in recent times.
Beautiful !! Semmangudi, the artist always in search of perfection and Semmangudi, the man ever engaged in meaningful interactions - Sanjay has clearly drawn out both !!
SSI impression, spot on!! Really enjoyed this episode.
Am just a layman. But when had occasions to see Iyer on a stage or in the front row of audience - in video graphed programs - one thing I could notice in him been:
In his sheer presence - he paled out every other' presence into insignificance howsoever tall he might be.
