What month did you do this in?
@@joeseflove this must be the end of February or early march because that's when winter ends.
Doggo : I'll follow this guy
Kraig : Gets back to camera for every shot
Doggo : ??!?
8:50 Doggo: You do your thing. I will wait.
THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!!! That was a cool story of a man, his dog, and the trail.
master so funny, always forget his camera
This dog still you have ? Please don’t leave , because he makes you famous ,.
Me and my friend just completed the trek, the same dog followed us from low camp to high camp 😊 we used feed him and later on the evening he vanishes. We saw him the following day in the hotel where we stayed that night, Hotel Excellent View 💖
"trust me"
in Nepal if you are at the Himalayan area you will always find a company(dog) if you are travelling alone. they will guide you to the next village and come back. at least say goodbye and thank you for them.
Yes, your right, one of the dog in Gora Shep guide me to Everest Base Camp last febuary.
Isn't that fascinating? Dogs guiding people to the next village, without any sort of training. Maybe they are motivated by the food these tourists feed them.
Yes ..when my gang was in gosainkunda last week there was dog guiding us to top of the camping area ..❤
the dog worried me the whole time. i think the peaks with deep snow are too taxing and cold for such a tiny dog, and is there even a way to check if it came home safe ?
Ya you are right. We found one when we went to Goshaikunda and he was same like ghost. It seems it true that you find dog on the trail in Nepal.
As a person who has completed Annapurna Circuit trek, Mardi trek, EBC trek and many others, I can say that mountain dogs are absolute life savers in the treks. Especially if you are trekking alone, mountain dogs will help you navigate from one village to another. If you're trekking with such dogs, please order some extra rice and chicken for them too.
Absolutely true
don't forget to give him credit for going back/walking twice again and again to setup his camera on those sloppy himalayan all the time ! Thank you man,you made me feel proud ! Love from Nepal 🇳🇵
Namastey 🙏 ! Hope you had awesome time here !!!
He has a drone so he doesn't have to walk back. But I agree these videos are amazing
@@smurf1578 He walks back to get his camera and tripod.
I love Kraig Adams silent docs. So relaxing and peaceful to watch. Such a unique style.

Would love to see your travel vid here in nepal man, every year once in while i make sure to hike in nepalese mountains. Its just a different level of dimension while hiking here

There are so many countries to go for trek but with Nepal, its different. It hits differently. The people, the culture, the nature itself, the vibe, the roads. Its soooo amazing
Update: two weeks back i went to mardi aswell and 3:49 we ate at the same lady's hotel 😂

No doubt.
Anne thank you for loving my country and my people kind regards beautiful soul 🙏🙏🙏
you're welcome once again❣️❣️💢

That dog was so adorable and gentle. A dog's loyalty can only be compared to a mother's love or father's...most of humanity doesn't deserve them.
I made a video about Gokyo trek this february, we had a dog follow us for 3 days straight up to 5400 m. It was so nice to get a little friend to accompany us
Completely agree with you
so true
I love my country NEPAL 🇳🇵
Lots of love from Nepal 🇳🇵😊❤️
Keep visiting Nepal 🇳🇵
It’s on my bucket list
Dog in Nepal will always guide you when you're alone....
Nepalis have been celebrating the Dog's day for thousands of years. And since the country formally established in 1768, the whole country shuts down that day. I think the day lies in the month of October according to lunar calendar.
We don't deserve dogs
No they don't bro

I too completed the Mardi Himal trek, the most amazing experience of my life❤️ I picked up two trail dogs, I named them Fred and Ned (:

May be the altitude after sometime was too much for the dog to keep up with, so it might've returned back.
@@beerababasaheb1258 Most likely
Clearly the dog was a guide sent by the mountains. When Kraig no longer needed him, he was on to serve the next wanderer.
My country Nepal 🇳🇵 ❤️ thank you for visiting 🙏
the most amazing video, thank you! no words (almost), love it!
I had to watch this video twice because the first time I was watching the dog the whole time
Lol

absolutely incredible - i had tears in my eyes! thank you for this amazing masterpiece. determined to experience it myself in the future one day xxx
This made me want to go to Mardi so bad. Most relaxing and enticing vlog.
I hope that doggo was fed well , he literally followed him , best friend of human kind .
He was fed well
on this kind of well beaten up multi day treks you often have dogs coming ith you for days, i guess they know they re gonna get some snacks sooner or later
But, he got the dog killed on the high altitude. He shouldn’t have taken it to his trek, in the first place
@@vutamonk3211 It literally even isn't his dog, it's a local one, used to these kind of altitudes. They actually do follow and guide people from one village to another.
@@vutamonk3211 how tf do uk he's dead???
Dude, I have been to Nepal ten times and spent a year trekking there. You really captured the vibe of a typical lodge trek in Nepal. Beautiful! Hit me right in the feels. Nepal is like my second home.

WHEN THE DOGGO WANTED TO SLEEP WITH YOU AAAAAAAWWWWWWWW
That was absolutely adorable!! There's no love or loyalty as a dog can give. Most humans don't deserve their love.
What happened to the dog?
@@Stickerbob11 check the link some lady took the dog to usa
The dog that followed us slept next to our bedroom since it was low season and the lodge keeper did not care. So sweet
In the Himalayas, you’re not mountaineering until the dog stops following you
Loved watching this. The silence gives it so much more power. Beautiful relationship between him and the dog.
Oh my god I did this trek a year and a half ago with friends and your video brought back so many memories. It was definitely the best week of my whole life 😍
This might be one of my favourite videos you have ever done; The dog is amazing, the views and shots are fantastic, and I love the sound of the crunchy snow. Top marks my man.

Your doggy companion was the highlight of this video for me. We, as humans, did nothing to deserve dogs. Yet, they'll say, "hey dis hooman is nice. I follow him. Maybe, he gibs me fooods."

Beautifully shot and produced. I did Mera Peak in '94 and then the Tamang Heritage Trail in '07 and am dreaming of a return with the family. The tea houses seem to have become a little gentrified since I was there. Loved your tag-a-long buddy. Thanks for the beautiful experience mate and cheers from Sydney - Dave
Thanks for exploring Nepal!
This dog would be one of the reason I chose to do this trek.
old lady took the dog to US

@@mamtasharma13650 Really?
@@mamtasharma13650 I don't think that was a good idea to taker her to the US considering the fact that she wont have same level of freedom. She was a mountain dog and it was not that she was not fed well.
Kraig, I love your content first of all. Also, this video almost brought me to tears, I've travelled this path around 20 years ago and have photos from the exact spots you lingered. Thanks for invoking some great memories of the scenery - you did it great justice, and the trail doggo that I made friends with.
Very relaxing and inspiring. Thank you! For these videos. Love them
another beauty clip. Each shot is just incredible
It’s probably pretty difficult to make sure the tripod is secure on a snowy and mountainous terrain. Nepal is beautiful
Nate Frig Thank you Fring for the compliment!
Gotta love those trekking dogs in Nepal. They never get tired of going up and down the mountain!
Great video as always 😊
Wow. Beautifully filmed and you sure captured the feel of the place. On my trek there in 2008 there was a day when I was just pooped out midway through the day. And a dog showed up and kept us company all the way to the next camp. I felt energized and happy even though my body was tired (adjusting to the lack of oxygen). What a gift. Funny, the trails are full of gifts like this. I'll never forget my adventure.
I just love it .. thank you
its so wholesome that so many dogs are just following you around😂
thanks for your awesome videos man!

At the end of 2018 (29-31st dec) i was in this trek. I don’t know it’s the same doggy or not he followed from abc to pothana but our team make white doggy to get back cuz we’re not returning from the same route. After watching this video I remembered that and the most worth it part was the photo taken at an altitude 4200m got the most shared photos of 2019 of this trekroute (mardii). I love the incredible droneshot and the guardian dog. You’re so lucky mr kraig Adams to get such friend 🐕❤️.Thanks for visiting my country Nepal and representing in such amazing way❤️
I need to go back to this video from time to time.. I needed it..
Thanks for that... kept me smiling for most of the time ... love Nepal ❤️
I love how you didn’t include the word “alone” in the title, given you had that sweet dog follow you for such a long part. How confused was he/she by you always going back and forth for your camera? 😄
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you (and RUclips's recommendations algorithm). It's been a difficult past few months for me at work (from home). Stunning as usual. Another masterpiece.
The 50 seconds of the opening is really breathtaking and calming
And that my friends is why I love dogs..cats are cool too.. Had a dog hang with me on a 15 mile trip in Grand Canyon, went back six years later and she remembered me. Funny stuff
Beautiful man. Thanks so much for sharing.
I love this video😘 I will watch this repeatedly
I'm not a dog person, but the best part of this video is the footage of the white doggo following you from place to place. This white doggo has your back and clearly believes in you. He follows until it's no longer possible. I'm glad you fed him and treated him well.... :p
I'm in love with this dog, what a sweetie. Hope you're doing well man, safe travels.
Amazing and I love it that it's silent..! That white little fella following you is.. love ❤! Thanks!
I have been on so many different treks in a different region of the Himalayas, but one thing is common among all of them, a dog followed me in each and every trek from the time I started to the very end, so better to reward them with a treat after the trek is complete.
Everyone: Enjoying the video
Me: Seeing doggo's movements and wishing that Kraig adopts the dog.

@@tomezhao I am from Nepal and I can confidently say that Kraig wasn't the first and will not be the last one that dog will walk along the trail. These mountain dogs can be found in almost all of the trekking routes (Tibetan breeds or cross breeds are common in ABC and EBC trek, I think one appears somewhere in the video too). They are so used to walking the trail that they know where to stop and come down again with another partner (most of the time). They are like guides or friends in the mountains. Most aren't stray either but also obviously not the kind of pet people are accustomed with in the West.
