I was a bit thrown off by the random, not-so border locations in Japan and especially Bangladesh, but managed 21,251 on the first seed. The second seed I got 24,723, better but only managed one real 5k. The last one I managed 22,052. Our games are always super close, it would be fun to play some duels! I am more of a mapmaker, but not a bad NM player, although I rarely play competitive these days (my wife is about to give birth to twins).
G1: those japan and bangladesh rounds were scuffed.. interested to hear your opinion when i watch the video. G2: peru / bolivia kinda scuffed, well done to find it. colombia and US VI 100% scuffed... G3: again 2 random harbour and airport locations. yes, there is technically a border control, but.. also do you have any idea what the new "steps" statistics in the post game breakdown screen mean? I mean it's "no move" and there's another odd thing: I played one of the Geo Detective games you posted a few days ago, and every players step statistics were increasing by 1 from round to round (like R1 3 steps, R2 4 steps, R3 5 steps and so on), just with different starting values. In G1 from this video everyone has some number in R1 and then four times zero steps. i don' get it lol.
First game went well, only real blunder was with the Japanese round. Wasn't quite sure if the language was Japanese or Chinese. I thought the cars looked more Japanese, but didn't want to go to Japan purely because I thought at this point it had to be land border. Ended up guessing Hong Kong. Last round was tough too, but somehow managed to guess somewhat right area, even tho I was (just barely) in the wrong country. First round missed by one point, the other 2 I got perfect. 21.3k total score. Second game was a lot more rough. First round I got a lucky guess in the correct border crossing (wasn't even sure if I was in the right country), but missed the perfect score by couple points. Second round I thought was in Spain, spent too long pointlessly trying to find the correct airport. Didn't even cross my mind that it could be another Spanish speaking country. Third round I got the correct country, but got confused with the directions and was on the complete opposite side of the country. Fourth round was easiest on this round, tho missed the perfect score by couple points again. Last round I wasn't familiar with that kind of google car at all. The earthquake warning sign made me think it could maybe be Hawaii, but was completely clueless otherwise. Barely a 14k game this time. Third game went again better. First round was on the wrong side of the island. Second round missed the right border crossing, but got a decent guess otherwise. Third round again improved slightly from the previous two rounds, but was in the wrong part of the port. 4th round I had no idea. Never seen that google car, and didn't really have much else to go for. Ended up guessing Tunisia. Finished on a high by getting a perfect score on the last round tho. Just above 19k total score.
6:55 The infamous Peruvian and Bulgarian border 😂
I like how you call Montpellier always Monteplier. It's kind of charming.
It's a bad habit 😅

Oo, congrats on the upcoming twins, that's huge! And well played in the challenges, too! Could be fun to play some Duels some day!
Airports and Ports shouldn't count as in game borders
I think that I would have been arrested at most of those borders. "No, no Sir, I'm not supposed to be here!"

The steps should be how many times the player has moved in that round, I think. 🤔
@@GeoPeter that would be logical, but yeah, those wer no moving games ^^ also these patterns are pretty strange
@@screambmachine Oh, I missed that part. Maybe it's a big then 😅

GGs! Thanks for sharing! :)
Sicily by car is a car rental company that also operates in Malta ..
Interesting! I would have expected them to change the name there 😄
