My channel is focused on creating content about my favorite TV show Supernatural, from reactions to analysis videos, reviews, ending explained videos, top 10 lists, theories and everything in between. Supernatural story follows two brothers (Sam and Dean Winchester) who are out to kill every evil thing in this world. They lose family and find new people they call family. They have gone to heaven and worse for each other and will do it all over again. Cause that's what FAMILY does and "Family don't end with blood". Follow the adventures of the awesome Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester who lost his shoe and is deathly afraid of clowns, on their journey to avert the next apocalypse and save the world. I said to myself Ben is Dean's son.I didn't think the show would end without them revealing it
i never really picked up on it but back in season 10 when dean and cole fought the second time and dean said to cole *i know how my story ends weather be on the edge of a blade (which is what we got) or at the barrel of a gun) dean legit foersaw how he would have died.
I so wish Supernatural would have gone another season! I’m such a big fan of this awesome show. There will never be another like it! To Jensen Ackles & Jared Padelecki, my Sam and my Dean, you will be so missed! I loved your journey and never wanted it to end! Same goes for the rest of this perfectly cast series. I’m heartbroken. But like Chuck said, “endings are hard but nothing ever really ends, does it?!” 💔💔😢😢😞💋💋

Another little detail: when Dean dies, the camera focuses on how he shed his last tear, than let his head fall against Sam's shoulder. Carry on, my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest - don't you cry no more.

Bittersweet for me. I found happiness in it. But, it had far too much tragedy and way too much sad crying for me to call it happy. Although, I understand your point of view though of course. It had its heartwarming moments too 👍

Maybe it's just me, but, when Dean died, he said: Bye Sam, not Sammy, for me it was like, you are big enough and old enough, you have grown up and you can go on alone now.
"You know, Sammy is a chubby twelve year old. It's Sam, okay?"
He's called him sam plenty of times in the series
and when he meets him again in heaven, he calls him Sammy

Dean wanted to go down to the song blaze of glory by Bon Jovi. When Sam answered the phone in Deans room after he had died they asked for agent Bon Jovi.
Oh, I think I misunderstood that, since it said the phone call was from Austin, Texas, and it asked for agent Bon Jovi, I figured it was a Walker reference, because Walker is filmed in Austin, correct me if i'm wrong.

I was disappointed at first with Dean's unceremonious death, but you're right. Its more realistic now that Chuck isn't influencing their story.
I actually loved the fact that it wasn't a monster that killed Dean. I didn't want ANY monster able to say he brought down Dean Winchester. I think this shows that Dean is human...and it actually shows how amazing all he did really is...it further supports what a hero he is with all of this actions over the years.

I think it's awesome that Sam got his "normal life".... and still his heaven is with his brother. He got what he wanted but came back like he's always done. And Dean just looks so ... happy in the end.
Seeing Dean's smile when he sensed Sam standing behind him was one of the best moments in this finale. His heaven was now perfect. And Sam looked happy...but also tired. Like he was glad that he had a life with family, but Dean's loss was always there with him through his entire life. I could see that reflected in his face.
One could argue whose journey to heaven was better...None of them ever experienced a real happiness on Earth without pain. It was always there for them ever since their mother died. They always had to let go of something in order to move on and be "happy". Dean lost his life just when he finally felt free...Sam got the family he always wanted but he lost his brother. It was never perfect until they finally went to heaven. It was sad yet beautiful in the end.
@@martanowak5312 so true! ... Sam would never fully let go .. He sat in the Impala crying after decades! I think he was happy on earth... but it felt like returning home after having his 'apple pie' life to spend his eternity with Dean and the rest of the family. And that is what Supernatural is about. Family.
That smile he had the whole time in heaven reminded me of the smile he has in the first episode featuring a Jinn hunt in season 2 when Dean's been put into a fantasy world by the Jinn. Think of all he's been through and also the Supernatural Anthem Carry On my Wayward son which always fit perfectly but for Dean Winchester finally feeling happiness it fits the best. I agree 💯 Although I'm still hopeful for continuation down the road it was a wonderful note to end on
@@annavor3391 Agreed. He was happy but something was missing. In a way, I am glad that Dean didn't have to go through Sam's loss again. That if one of them had to die young, it was Dean. I kind of imagine that if it was the other way around, Dean would just die on a hunt shortly after Sam's death. Sam was much more likely to live normal life.

As much as I cried when Dean died, I also loved to see his smile when Sam arrives to Heaven.

@@Xerocoo I’m going more off of how old his son looked than Sam. Little Dean couldn’t have been more than 30, probably more like mid 20s, and Sam was like mid to late 30s when Dean died.

These are the same exact lines that John said as a goodbye to the boys in 14 x 13 ''Lebanon'', just before they send him back to 2003...

The fact that Dean died in a barn reminded me so much of 4x01 'Lazarus Rising' when he met Castiel in a barn after he was resurrected.

I might be wrong but to me it reminds the barn where Dean, Sam and Ruby tricked Css with Uriel and demons led by Alastair. As a result Anna got back her grace.

But I have a feeling that it's something that might have happened even if it wasn't in the script..I mean, how could Jared resist;) Anyway, that was a nice panel and I am not surprised that many "Easter Eggs" or ideas came from actors themselves and not the writers...

The bridge they meet on in heaven is also the bridge near the bunker. So Dean stops to get out n check out the view. N Sam appears, on the same bridge that leads to the only home they had ever truly known in their lives of constant travel. Kinda signifying that they've both come home. Not jus to their home, the bunker, but home to each other
I loved when they introduced the bunker b/c it definitely felt like they had their first real "home".

When they introduced the concept of the stuck up men of letters n then gave them their underground bunker, w their snootyness u know it was ganna b a lot nicer than a military bunker. Yup, she is my favorite of all of Sam’s love interests and one of my favorite characters in general, she’s the last person Sam was in a romantic relationship with and is alive, and the blurred out wife looked a bit like her so, yeah, it’s GOTTA be her. I WILL NOT HEAR IT ANY OTHER WAY. NOPE, ITS HER.

I thought we’d see Sam run to Eileen and embrace her, realizing that he really loves her and doesn’t wanna live without her, SOMETHING! But no. Same with Jody and everyone else they love: “oh good they’re back. No need to check on them or anything.” And Dean’s flippant “Yeah Cas died and that was sad but whatever let’s not let his sacrifice be in vain” felt so superficial and completely out of Dean’s character. All-in-all I was just disappointed.

Can we also point out that Sam's house (the interior) is Bobby's house? The set was used numerous other times throughout the show (including for Chuck's home) but felt important that the set was used for Sam's family and that his final death took place right where Bobby's desk sat.

I think maybe a scene of Sam’s son getting accepted into college and Sam embracing it might’ve been cool. Just as a parallel to when Sam wanted to go and John hated it.
That would’ve been awesome. Could also look at the scene where he’s helping him study as getting him ready for the SATs/ACT. He looked pretty proud either way.
I would’ve loved to have seen Sam with grandkids. The epitome of a normal life.
It is a shame that we will never know what happens to Baby. Might of been passed down to Sam's son Dean. Baby will live forever!
Depending on how old Sam is at the end, Baby may well be a hundred years old at that point. Whether she stayed in the garage or became a museum piece we can be certain she did not go to a scrap yard.

I just rewatched 1x11 Scarecrow. It's the same town set as the finale's pie fest. I think Baby even pulled up/got parked in the same spot. Dean also told Sammy how proud of him he was in that episode too. (I guess the town didn't disappear after all when the original apple tree was burned at the end of 1x11.)
@@nikkicyp4646 God that speech really resembled the final one and i don't think it's a coincidence. In 1x11, when Sam hung up the phone, Meg asked "what did he say?" and Sam replied: "Goodbye."
I completely agree that the writers ended this in the only way that made sense. With no "interference" or "protection" from other entities, Dean died in a "normal" hunter way. It was just right. So many people were SO critical. People wanted specifics with Eileen and Cass, etc., but hello! That's why we have imaginations! We get to have our own perfect endings. It WAS focused and right back to its roots. Bravo!
I did wish we'd seen an appearance from Cass in the last episode when Dean got to heaven

@@marys1534sorry for not being specific. That anti possession tattoo is for demons, not for Angel's. And if you are referring to when they got possessed by demons like same in the 1st season's. That's because they didn't have that tattoo. Yet. Yeah if you burn the tattoo, they can possess you. But after sam got possessed once by a demon. They didn't let that happen again. For Dean. When he became a demon, that's because he had the mark of Cain. So the tattoo didn't work, because he didnt get possessed, he became one. But thank you for your response on my comment. My husband of 25 years passed away last October 17 and he was the one who introduced me to Supernatural. I was and still am broken in losing him. And watching the ending of our favorite show is so bittersweet for me. I've lost my favorite boys this year and it may take me awhile to recover. But I know that he is with Dean and Sam now in heaven. 😢

Similar to my thoughts. Sam allowed Dean Jr to have a childhood and a life. When he became an adult, Sam taught him about monsters but allowed him to have the choice. But the tattoo was non negotiable

bruh, I wasted 15 years of my life, I don't want it to end, I want to waste the next 15. But, alas, I know that is not possible, and that pain can never go away, so I have to find a way to live with it.

I had mixed feelings about the finale at the time of watching it and I felt that way for probably the next 24 hours as well. Once I really thought about it though, it made sense for it to end this way. I think people are pissed off because of how simplistic Dean's end was after EVERYTHING they have been through, he dies to a "nail". (It's like a 6+ inch piece of rebar that went into Dean's god damn spine, don't downplay the severity of that injury. It's not surprising that he isn't walking away from that injury). I've been thinking about this particular piece of info that you mentioned about Chuck's plot armor and that's when I started to feel a bit better about the finale. The only reason the boys got through everything that was thrown at them for the past 15 years was because it was ALWAYS manipulated by God(Chuck). Every decision they made, every case they worked, any solution they had all came together because of Chuck and that makes the show even better when you think about it. People who maybe don't appreciate the show as much as I do or other fans is because they think it is "cheesy" or they re-use a lot of the same plot devices (Sam and Dean sacrificing themselves for each other and making deals etc. etc.) but when you really think, it all comes down to the last season... God made all of this happen. He manipulated everything to see how the boys would react and just keep pushing them in the direction he wanted to see what they would do and what they would become just to entertain himself. The story itself all makes sense in the end and is a tragedy that for all of their lives they didn't have a say in anything. Yet they still overcame God himself and were free and all was well, then reality came a knockin' and anything could happen, no special treatment, no angels around to heal them, no last minute people barging in to save the day... just a normal hunt, gone wrong.
So yeah I was devastated seeing Dean die in such a "simple" way but it makes sense when you put it all into perspective like I have above. I think people who really think it was terrible are just in a state of grieving/mourning not only to Dean but to Supernatural as a whole, I know I was and still am. I think the biggest thing that upset me was the fact that Sam felt so lost and helpless after Dean died and was left alone for the rest of his life even though he did die having a family and a normal life. That stuck with me for a few days and was what made me the most emotional about the whole thing, putting our favorite characters through so much and never seeming to get a break. For me and tons of other people this show was a "comfort show" something to always fallback on when you didn't want to watch anything else, or you felt a specific way etc. and the ending made everything really FEEL their feelings and it was a hard pill to swallow that it all was coming to an end. I think it's simply a coping mechanism (regardless if they realize what they are doing or not) for some people to just disregard the finale and say it sucked and wait for Jensen's production company to take over the reboot in a few years time to get a proper ending blah blah blah. No matter how you cut it, I believe it was a decent way to bring this story to a close for what they had to work with, dealing with COVID and all. I think it would of been SO MUCH MORE comforting to have had all the characters come back when the boys reunited in Heaven, god that would of made me feel so much better but as I said it was a damn good ending when you have the time to process it all and take a step back to just take it in and let it be put to rest.
I have been wanting to talk about this since the finale aired but no one I knew was finished and I've had all this in my head just stewing about... so I figured this is probably the best place I could come to air out my thoughts/feelings to not only ease your emotional suffering but mine as well because I was ROCKED. If you got this far, thanks for reading and we will all get through this. Lots of chick flick moments.
I felt the exect same way
The more it sat with me. The more I liked it. Although I would have like to see more peopleat the funeral and people greating him at heaven. But just got to use the imagination of wot I could have been like if covid wernt here. Cause this is what we get.. And i liked it. Sam diddnet really wanna be in the family business and got to live a regular life. Dean went "guns blazing out" like he wanted. It stsrted with the boys and ended with the boys... So yea you said it well...
Probably Sam felt that way after Dean's death, because after all they gone through they had a bond than never before. So, at that time Sam really felt too attached to Dean. I'm happy with the ending. Hope we can see a reboot in a couple of years.

It’s the first time in a while I felt on the edge of my seat because you could just sense there would be “real” Death for Sam or Dean. There was NO coming back this time. No next episode for them to be a part of it. There was actual risk to be taken.
THIS was final, the nail in the coffin.
Because of that, I was holding my breath (watching it alone in the dark no less) during that entire fight because I knew THIS was it.
When Dean glanced at the rebar my stomach just dropped. Dean was going to die.

@@KellyJayeIam yea. when I saw the rebar I knew something was gonna happen... But diddent think it would happend that fast. So it was kinda a "suprise" even tho I kinda knew. I was thinking Dean saw it and was gonna use it against the vampire. But then it diddent happen like that...
While watching the first half of the episode, I can't stand it, I was mad at the way of Dean's death. When I seeing Sam has a family, died of the old age, and then the bridge scene, I slowly get it.
Thrilled it was just the boys in the finale. This show has meant so much to me for the past 15 years. Thanks for putting this together. I picked up on the contract as well. I also picked up on the Always Keep Fighting. Made me cry the most!

As soon as Dean tells Sam, always keep fighting, I picked up on it right away. I was like, did I hear that correctly? Because I was a blubbering mess. So to the writers, or if Jensen ad libbed, kudos. It means a lot to us out here.
It would have been great that after Dean and Sam hugged in heaven that they got into baby and said...
Sam: I missed you jerk.
Dean: Same here bitch.

I love how Dean didn’t even have to wait long to see his brother again. As he drives through the woods, Sam is living his life on Earth. As Bobby said time works differently, and just a casual drive later and Sams whole life has played out and he’s right there. Beautiful.

I've been wanting a Supernatural Hunter style game since 05!!! 😍 I remember playing the Constantine game on the PS2 and it is seriously, one of the most underrated games ever. With today's graphics. One I noticed while watching this, the kidnapped kids are a nod to Dean and Sam - the older boy had short hair and the younger had Sam's hair style. This was fun. The one question I have did Sam ever tell Donna,Jody or any of the others that lived that dean died. But I guess cause of the Covid they couldn’t get the cast for this episode. Cause I feel dean would have had a bigger hunters funeral.

I figure that Sam never told his son about "the family business" and he led a normal life and Sam was given a normal burial. Later that night after Sam's funeral, the remaining hunters led by Jody, dug Sam up and gave him a Hunter's Burial outside of the Men of Letters bunker. That's how I filled in the gap.
Honestly, that was my only gripe with the last episode. So many people loved Dean. It seemed odd only Sam and the dog were present at the hunter's funeral for Dean. I also found it odd that Jack didn't appear as well. But I do understand about Covid restrictions.

@@brandi2746 I think after Dean's death that he called Garth, Jody, and one or two others and told them Dean went down fighting. And word just went out from there to the other hunters by word of mouth.
Even if Sam gave up hunting altogether, I don’t think he would have kept the truth from his son. Like it or not, Sam Winchester is known by the “monsters” and that puts his son at risk. I also don’t see Sam lying to his son about the life he and Uncle Dean lived. That goes double if Eileen is the baby mama. My guess is when his son got to a certain age, he gave him the talk and possibly some training so he could defend himself. Also, Sam died of old age. Jodi and Donna were a good 15-20 years old than him when they met, so they were probably already dead. Garth being a werewolf could have stepped in to give him a hunters funeral. He was the “new” Bobby for a while.... 🤣

We never saw the empty get it's long desire of getting back to sleep on screen. My theory is Jack Guranteed he would help the cosmic entity sleep again with his new powers and role in exchange for Cas. Probably sweetened the pot by ensuring no more Demons or angels would wake up with him as the new God figure in the universe.

Another possible Easter Egg (I’ve not read all the comment so apologies if I’m repeating) The case that Sam goes to at the end involving hearts being ripped out. In Season 8, Episode 3 the boys investigate the deaths of people who have had their hearts ripped out. The episode was directed by Jensen Ackles and featured his real life Dad. It’s called Heartache 😭😭😭
Season 8 was the one where Sam left the life and got a dog.

It really was the perfect ending, also I love the fact that Sam had a son to carry on the Winchester name.
My favorite take on this whole series is that, as the stated earlier in the show, only soulmates share a Heaven. Thus proving that Sam and Dean are indeed soulmates. I’m not one of those crazy slash girls who think there’s something incestuous going on, I just think they’re brothers and soulmates

Yea i think Alot would have been different if it haddent been for covid.. I think Alot more people would have been in heaven to greet Dean. And been in his funeral.. And one thing that some people noticed was when he came in heaven he diddent even hug Bobby and was kinda 6 feet apart. I think the last eps would have been Alot different if covid wernt involved..

I think Sam being left with Miracle is a call back to season 8 when Sam was left without Dean and went to live a normal life.
One thing that I noticed was the initial interaction between Sam and Dean after they both enter heaven is the same as their very first interaction in the series. Specifically when Sam is discovering that it was Dean who broke in.
Just a couple of things about the finale:
- Sam's wife... could that be Eileen? I love how open-ended they left that part!
- Sam hated being called "Sammy" and still, Dean in Heaven greets his bro with "Hey, Sammy!"
- How perfect the music montage was with Dire Straits's "Brothers in Arms" (as Sam mourns Dean) and Kansas's "Carry on" (as both find peace in their own way - Dean by driving Baby & Sam by living a normal life)
- the title of the episode - "Carry on" - may also reference the fact that Sam has to 'carry on' living without Dean and not just be the title of the 'unofficial' Supernatural theme
- the call that Sam gets, about a case in Austin... Jared Padalecki lives in Austin with his family... so in a way, it's a "come home" call

In regards to the papers on the desk there is one thing you can make out pretty clearly. It's the words "Minimum Requirements". It's the second time they show the papers. So not the time Sam is standing in the doorway and they show them. But when he is sitting on the bed petting Miracle. There's a shot of the papers when the phone rings and draws Sam's attention to the desk and in that shot you can see a bolded all caps paragraph heading centered on the page and its reads MIMINUM REQUIREMENTS. So one possibility might be that these were job applications which makes sense since they are now on their own writing their own story they would need a new source of income and it was also a "normal life" sort of thing to do.

gosh…..the series is soo emotional as it is and the fact The SPN has ended plus such emotional finale……I'm literally crying like a baby. This show is so much more than "about monsters and hunters"…..no words to describe all the inner stuff

Here's the thing about the manner of Dean's death: he dies on a battlefield of sorts, surrounded by defeated enemies, and he isn't killed by a monster. It's a hero's death. If some vamp had stabbed him we'd all be hollering.
Supernatural is all about the family. And we are all SNF so what a honor to be part of this wonderful show. I believe it’s never the end. Who knows this is tv!!!! Maybe? I can dream

EXACTLY This is what I said too when so many hated the ending. I wouldn't want ANY monster to be able to say that he took out Dean Winchester. His death to me shows just how heroic Dean was throughout the years--because at the end of the day, he is HUMAN and still changed the world.

Maybe Sam gave his son a normal child hood then latter told him the life of a hunter then let him choose if the life is for him or not. As for the tattoo he gave him that and most have thought him how to defend himself he can't give only one means of protection just in case supernaturals come for his son. i was introduced to the show by my cousin we watched together my cousin passed away i lost interest i watch when i miss him. I MISS HIM NOW...

Yes! While I do think that sometimes it was a lot to keep track of the bigger the SPN universe got, I also think there were many amazing (and hilarious) episodes that wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for a god and angels being introduced.
WOW the parallel between Gods (Chucks) heaven with them reliving their greatest hits to the New Heaven Jack created is very intelligent. That is a really deep find, I love it. This video makes the ending feel like it isn't over yet, there is still so much to discover.
This was a fantastic heart wrenching beautiful video Leo. You have nailed every video you have done. I as I cried, loved the ending for the exact same reasons you stated. I think it was a perfect way to say goodbye after 15 years. Thank you for being you and all of the hard work you have done for years about Supernatural for us fans.
I don’t know, it still doesn’t sit well with me. Maybe it’s because I personally wanted Dean to have a better ending.
Everyone says it was what Dean wanted and the way he wanted to go but it wasn't. Dean wanted a world where he and Sam could take a long beach vacation. Dean expected to die that way but it doesn't mean he wanted to die that way. My other issue is in the past death wasn't a permanent state so they never explained why this time it was the last time. Sam had an entire lifetime that was glossed over as if it wasn't important. It was important and now so many unanswered questions.
@@medic95348 Death was never permanent because Chuck was writing the script of their lives. In the episode before, after Jack restores humanity, he tells Cas he is going to take a "hands off" approach from here on out, signifying he would not interfere in Sam and Dean's life.

@@medic95348 dean literally says on numerous occasions he wanted to go out fighting. He had a soldier/heroes death. He may have fantasised about a “normal” life but it wasn’t for him. Ben and Lisa was a prime example. He could barely function without Sam. And then when he was living. The second hunting came back into his life he left Ben and Lisa. He could have chosen to stay away from hunting but he couldn’t. Lisa even said it. Hunting was who he was. They came back because Chuck was writing the script and because Sam or dean would make a deal to bring the other back. But dean specifically told Sam not to do anything. No bringing him back. They didn’t gloss over Sam’s life. They showed us it. It’s only an hour episode. They can only show so much. Personally, I understood people having a thing with the simplicity of Deans death. But I feel like most people have known forever that the end was gonna be dean dying and Sam living. Sam can live without dean. Dean couldn’t live without Sam. Idk. I feel like those of us who don’t like that dean died on a hunt forget who dean is.
So go and rate Carry on 10/10 in imdb they deserve this for their 15 seasons

Actually ,the moment they went on their last hunt together, I was afraid they both would die,since they are no longer protected by the plot of Chuck. So,that was logical,if anything.
As for the ending itself,it was almost identical to the ending of The Vampire Diaries, where the one brother dies to save the other but later they meet in heaven,ofc there we had the bonus of redemption since they were more of antiheroes than the full on heroes the Winchesters are.
And even so, the bitter sweet ending after basically being a part of my life for 15 years made me cry,and will probably keep me mourning for a while.
This was easily the best series I’ve ever seen,and to be able to keep my interest for so long is amazing.
I thought of the ending Dean meeting Sam was similar to the ideology that we have of our loved ones waiting for us at “the gates of heaven” but in this case a bridge.
Honestly I thought Sam was gonna die when he left to do that mission.

I feel Sam's son had that tattoo because he respect his dad and wanted the same tattoo as him to remind him of his dad. Lots of people does that in rea life.

I don't think Sam would have lied to his son or kept his son unprepared by lack of knowledge. I believe Sam told him the truth about monsters but encouraged and participated in a normal life. The tattoo was an anti-possession mark and was probably chosen to avoid always needing to wear an amulet.
Dean’s watch on Sam’s wrist in the end and the song’s lyrics (carry on wayward son) was edited to fit the scenes like when Sam first arrives in heaven the line playing is “heaven wait for you”, and I think the “application” at Dean’s desk it’s for police officer (see the minimum requirements)

Exactly how I feel. It's like a loyalty for the show or something. Didn't matter what the hell was going on or how they did it, I loved every second of it.
I think it was the perfect ending for each character, an alway wanted to go out hunting and Sam always wanted a family but they both also wanted to still be together.
I think I found another one, Leo. Dean keeping Miracle (the dog) at the bunker could be a nod to Dog Dean Afternoon and/or the dog Sam hit when Dean was in Purgatory
I was thinking similar to the dog Sam had for a little while when he ran away as a kid.

Also was the First time that Sam was able to let go of Dean. Every other time, he couldn't let it go. He would make deals with Demons to get Dean back or search ways to bring him back.
