You can put a 65 -69 valve body in any C4 The books say it can't be done. But it can be done with some minor modifications to the case. Been running a 65 valve body in a 74 case for 12 years without a problem. Install a 65-69 inner manual lever, use about 10 cents worth of JB Weld on the vacuum modulator valve to valve body mating surface to block part of the two slots, bolt the 65-69 valve body in and go.
Just a heads up ,put a white spot with a can of spray paint in the center of the Card board so you stay in the center of the frame. So you know to put what ever your working on in the center of the camera frame so we don't lose you when your far left and your head is in the way. And we can't see what your doing. And may want to back the camera a little bit for a better view. But good video, i will be doing this tomorrow on my 1970 Maverick C4. Keep the videos coming good job.

I actually enjoyed this tutorial. You work much like I do…figuring it out as I go, what I coulda shoulda done mixed in with an occasional curse word or so. So thanks for leaving all the ooops in there. Let’s me know that I am okay. Haha. Good job man.
On the modulator (the white mark one is the one it calls for) Where’s the best adjustment setting? I installed this kit thinking it was going to be chirping the tires but it just shifts stiffer, I don’t know how to adjust that... Do you know what to do there?
Adjusting the modulator will effect how early or late the trans will shift. Turning it counterclockwise making it shift earlier and turning it clockwise makes it shift later. My car being a inline 6 wont be spinning any tires not enough power
@@autoraysgarage8938 There’s no way to get a firmer shift on mine enough to chirp the tires without having it change so high up? The only way is clockwise, higher rev and stronger shift?
My question is from it screwed in all the way in is there a specific amount of turns to the right that is the ideal setting? Like “From seated, 4 clockwise full turns is where you want it” I accidentally destroyed the instructions that came with it…
@@MCFABRICATION all the adjustment on the modulator does is effect what rpm the trans will shift at, not how firm it is. The shift kit itself is what makes it firmer
