At 17:55 That’s the speedometer cable.
Hi, That cable with the red gear is for speedometer, Your doing a great job.
Speedometer cable, i think i would have paused the video and found out, Crazy Crazy Crazy!!!! Thanks Funny As Hell!!!
Just watched your video, nice 👍🏼 job. Keep wrenching!
Excellent detail - just exactly what happens. Thanks!
I appreciate that glad it helped someone
Great video.
Safety goggles!
Always drain the pan first. Less fluid on the floor. 🤘🏼
Great video man, there's a 100 ways to remove a transmission for the first time on any car. Watching you figure out all obstacles was awesome I'm no professional tranny guy, but it looks like the same as my tear out on my 65' excluding the speedo cable mystery. Best part of the video bye far is at 24:39 the smile of accomplishment.
Yeah I believe ford used the C4 for awhile back in the 60s-70s with different tweaks and design im sure over the years
4 bolts on the toque converter, take them off and the trans would’ve just dropped straight down
Yes your correct on that!!
Had the same problem the Automatic Transmission Output Shaft Seal was leaking from one day to another. Jacked up the 66 mustang and changed it out. No more leaks.
I wish mine was leaking from the output shaft would have taken me 30 mins to change that
the converter has to go out with it
Dang i was slipping on the subscription to the channel
I really liked this video 👍
Did you make the second part to this video?
I would really like to see how to replace the pump seal gaskets 😉
I didn’t tear the trans apart all I did was replace the shift linkage gasket and install a transgo shift kit
Recall on those jacks unless you already exchanged them. Stay safe
Appreciate that yeah i used to have 2 sets of those jack stands they took one pair back and said the part number on the other pair was fine
Jack or jackstands
Congratulations bru’. I’m getting ready to pull mine this weekend. Fun fun fun.
Should’ve plugged the tail shaft.
