Idek what my favorite part of this is: * Matt's arrow sounds * Percy's chicken noises * The entire group's laughter before the arrow make impact because they KNOW this is gonna be hilarious * Sam miming Scanlan eating a chicken leg and clutching the arrow imbedded in his neck, respectively * SCANLAN SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER * EVEN THE DM BURSTS OUT LAUGHING
+Alypet11 (Alypet11) Only in an RPG would an arrow in somebodies neck be this hilarious. You are right Sam sets the tone and the others rise to his level. I have never had so much fun watching D&D.
That was a good DM's choice on Matt's part by having Scanlan make the save, because he has the worst reflexes in the party, and Sam likely played that better than anyone else could have.
This is why I love this group, they have been playing together for so long that they are attuned to each other. Liam knew instinctively that Matt would offer a slightly different arrow sound effect for the lower roll, and almost had it out before Matt did. Such a great moment!
3:10 a rare moment when Matt competently looses it. Look at all of CR funniest moments and at most you get a mild laugh or a chuckle out of Matt, hear he has just lost it.
Somehow I always missed Grog saying 'Again! Again!' and throwing his chicken at Scanlan. Just caught it and now I'm crying with laughter. Love these guys 💕
It's easy to miss because you get so focused on Sam's amazing performance, but yeah, there's a lot going on in this clip that is just absolutely hilarious.
Still dying at the idea that in the panic and confusion of the moment Pike casts cure wounds on the chicken instead of Scanlan and the chicken just gets up and runs off 🤣🤣🤣. Thank you for that image Talisien and Liam
Why is no one talking about the fact that Matt was able to accurately demonstrate the subtle difference between the sound of a 30 chicken wall pin and a 28 chicken wall pin? edit: I have become that which I loathe. I am the person who posted a "why is no one talking about" comment before thoroughly reading the comment section. Everyone is, in fact, talking about it.
She wasn't going to hit her brother, he can dodge anything, she wasn't going to hit her husband, he could just shoot the arrow with one of his guns. So when the choice was either the ginormous target of Grog or Scanlan who looks to be about the size of one of Grog's ass pimples, it's amazing she was able to hit a target that small from the height of a flying broom.
Interesting note: It didn't matter what Ashley rolled for the cure wounds. Seventeen damage and 11 healing from Vex, Scanlan would be down six hitpoints. With Pike's Wsidom modifier of 5, Scanlan would be at full even if Ashley rolled a one.
I know this is random, but im surprised no one has made a clip of the pool canonball contest in Scanlan mansion yet. It has easily by favourite percy moment.
im kinda very late, but (spoilers) the way they laughed and thanked scanlan in-character for a great meal is one of the stepping stones that led to scanlan leaving. Even when he was shot in the neck by an arrow, no one really took it seriously.
well she had high dex. roughly around that time (give or take 5 episodes because I can't remember) it was 20. So that's d8 +5 which is 13. had bracers of archery which I think gives a +2 to damage. so that 15. was her bow enchanted? maybe it gave a +2 to push it to 17 from some other effect?
"Thirty!"
*arrow noises*
"No, wait...twenty eight."
*different arrow noises*
larlarinlalaland This is why Matt Mercer is an amazing goddamn GM
larlarinlalaland It also drops on height between 30 and 28.
30!
THWMP!!
No ... 29.
... Thwmp!
Travis forcing his wife to admit she rolled a one is an underrated moment in this clip
There's a certain irony in Scanlan helping to propagate the chicken target practice and then immediately suffering for it.
Matt's bendy arrow sounds are on point
+TheXenatron cracks me up every time

Pike, the super kind and loving Cleric gnome healer, sees her friend get shot in the neck and is spewing blood: “That broom is amazing!”

Don't forget
* Tal's joy when Matt says there'll probably be a pool of blood after the mansion is gone
* Grog clapping and totally loving it
All of the above
@@magiv4205 Grog saying "Again! Again!" and just lobs a breakfast chicken at Scanlan while he's screaming. XD
Tal's glee at the prospect of there being a random pool of blood when the mansion is dispelled is amazing.
Tal's reaction makes me cry with laughter even more
All of them are great at roleplaying, but Sam takes it to another FUCKING level. When he plays it feels like I'm in their world. AMAZING!!!
+Alypet11 (Alypet11) Only in an RPG would an arrow in somebodies neck be this hilarious. You are right Sam sets the tone and the others rise to his level. I have never had so much fun watching D&D.
Sam's reaction always gets me.
00:36-00:41 just incapsulates Matthews genius in a matter of seconds, it's amazing.
I love that Marisha is already laughing but when Sam starts screaming she just COMPLETELY loses it XDDD
Liam’s falling backwards into the laugh dimension is well documented but I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Marisha instantly face plant ☠️
That little "Yay!" from Talesin is great
3:05 Marisha goes down for the laugh, and when she finally comes back up for air her face is *beet* red.

Please dear gods of animation, let this have made it into the animated series!!! 🤣

Be sure to thank Sam. If not for him we'd hardly ever see him laugh.

Friend: What is Critical Role?

When the arrow hit Scanlan, Matt should have asked Laura "How do you want to do this?:.
2:43 Oh god that Marisha duck hunt dog impression!
Holy shit, I never noticed that until now. Good catch.
TheDamocles74 Yeah Liam does it too, hilarious!
I mean, she was the one who said "Duck Hunt's a bitch."
And this happened before the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 end credit scene.
Scanlan had three-quarters cover from the chicken. Vex only hit because of her sharpshooter feat.
One of the greatest scenes so far. This had me pausing so I could catch my breath without missing anything.
When people say Vox Machina are more like the Avengers than the Guardians of the Galaxy...
At this point, both Vox Machina and the Mighty Nein are the Guardians.

Absolutely. And I love it.
One of the best moments I've seen so far.
I need that screan as my ring tone
The dice roll determines the sound effects. Hehe
I really hope that they animate this scene in the show 😂 my life will be complete lol
Vex's voice sounds so different to Jester's, it's actually quite striking.

I have never laughed harder than at this moment. I can watch it again for the 50th time and still laugh just as hard. This is glorious.

We never find out if there was a pool of blood when the mansion disappeared. -__-
Some friends Scanlan has who the hell needs enemies. :-)
I think that this moment have the same energy as the Dead Sprinkle moment laughing fit xD
3:06 This is just like the end scene in GOTG 2
I know this is random, but im surprised no one has made a clip of the pool canonball contest in Scanlan mansion yet. It has easily by favourite percy moment.
GeminiJoule what episode and mark is it around?
My sides failed a saving throw
An arrow to the neck is one of my biggest fears ever since. This is so terrifying and so fucking funny at the same time.
I want Mercer's sweater...
Grog applauding 😂
*The chicken comes back to life*
It's cannon.
any one ever watch this and think of the ending to guardians of the galaxy two when drax gets shot in the neck
No video of Scanlan showing Pike her room? :-D
One of the credit scenes from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 reminded me to rewatch this
And the druid is sitting there, completely fine with people punching chickens. lol
They’re already dead.
Oh god, could you please also upload the one earlier where she falls from the broom?
yes please, loved that one
im kinda very late, but (spoilers)

Cause he was clearly playing it for comedy???? Do you honestly think Sam/Scanlan would have liked it if they stalled the session to fuss over this?
Did Guardians of the Galaxy 2 steal this scene?
1:59 here is where it start
is it just me or does pike have a Scottish accent
How in Helheim can Vex do 17 points of damage when the damage die of a longbow is a d8?
well she had high dex. roughly around that time (give or take 5 episodes because I can't remember) it was 20. So that's d8 +5 which is 13. had bracers of archery which I think gives a +2 to damage. so that 15. was her bow enchanted? maybe it gave a +2 to push it to 17 from some other effect?
I think she rolled with her Bow of the Sky Sentinel. It's a d10 instead of a d8, if memory serves.
witch episode was this
?
xD
I wanna know which episode that was too though ^^
It's in the title?
@@crowborn666 well i have completely forgot about this comment
if you own nothing, why did you put ads on these?
I have said it before, but let me reiterate. I do not put the ads on, geek and sundry do. They get the money.
there is ads on youtube???
