WOW, this was very clear and explained, thanks a lot, I've been trying to get there for the last year or so, but finally got my ticket to get there on September and will also live for a couple months!
This was the first of your videos that I watched, thanks for the detailed breakdown! There's a million "Thailand budget" videos out there, but not many that have gym costs/recommendations included. Thanks!
Thankful I came across this video. Me & my lady are thinking of living there for atleast a month or 2. We are planning everything. Great video brother🤙🏼
Appreciate you sharing these costs. I plan to travel full time in the next couple of years and I like to see what I should expect in locations I want to travel.
Thanks for this video, just got my subscription ! Me and my fiance want to come to Thailand for long term in some years and we are kinda similar to you but maybe more "stay at home" people than going out... But that could change in Thailand I guess. It's very interesting to see the costs of the gym and prep meal ! I hope you'll make more videos about your daily life, and it would be so nice to see the beauty shops and services you're using. As a girl I'm interested :D
It's great seeing this. Ive seen people say they can live for 1k a month and found that unbelievable. I would want my own place for a start. Ive been to Thailand years apart between trips. Last year i found it to be very expensive. We spent 4k in 19 days on trips/ taxi every day and great food with massages and beauty treatments, but we ate very well in lots of great restaurants etc this was for 4 people. Realistically, how much would it be for your own little 2 bed house with pool per month? Would love to go for 3 months.
Really appreciate the video but for me, the accommodation budget is not realistic. I am not able to find anything decent below 1000-1500 USD per month currently. Been using Booking/AirBnB, which of course should be more expensive, but either way, the difference is quite big.
My son is lived in Thailand for 15 years. He says he spends about $400 a month but he goes out to eat three times a day coffee snacks bottled water he eats like a Thai person would with an occasional going out to an American style food
Budget did change which was to be expected, but even with an increase in tourism it’s not a huge change when you take in the gyms and eating out twice each day
@@tjandbtraveling So how much do you save cooking your own food. Watching a lot of channels about living in thailand (in the dreaming stage myself) and I thought that eating out is actually cheaper and kitchens in condos and houses are relatively small.
We found our place on Booking.com - airbnb has a lot of expensive places. There are also much better short-term rentals you can find once you're on the island depending how long you're planning on staying
Is it hard for me to find food I eat raw vegan organic food like nurts berries vegetalbes and some fruits organic Thank You also do you think if you would take an Iland instead to live on would the cost of living be mutch higher ?
It is my understanding, but I am a noob at this, that eating out is cheaper than cooking your own food. Thats why all the kitchens in condos and houses in Thailand are usually quite small.
Yea it's a common misconception just because eating out is generally great value. But if you really do go to markets and buy fresh vegetables, noodles etc it will be cheaper. Of course then you have to factor in the time cost for cooking, the healthiness of the cheaper food and other such stuff
Are the cafes/Co working spaces you use for digital nomad are you using wifi... I need a ethernet connection for work and wondering if this is accessible to plug my ethernet cord in to at these places. Or what options I have for an ethernet connection
It's easy to spend much more! Most people who save money are those who stay there for a long time or extremely savvy... which is great, it's just not what we did on this occasion
My husband took me there snorkeling, after we did some business at Chaing Mai night market. I loved it, and think about taking some time there again, to save money. Is it true ex-pats are taxed on their social security income since 2023?
Thanks for the comment, because Phuket is a bit of a destination for fighters membership can be expensive, but 140 per person is actually still cheap by western standards. Rolling monthly contracts in LA or NYC will be upwards of $300 per person for a quality gym
82 for the bike is not a better deal, that is even above the standard price of 2500-3000 lol. You can buy one second hand for 20-25K it is earned back in no-time.
@@tjandbtraveling bike prices have nothing to do with seasons and if then making a “budget video” that is obviously something needed to mention, if wanting to add value and not only private dollars
@@tjandbtraveling most definitely 👍🏼, my last trip to Thailand was 2010, Jiujitsu was starting to grow back than, now it’s mainstream, loved your video
Hi great videos! I’m doing my first ever solo trip in Patong, I’ll be there there for 1 week, would 500-600 usd be enough for healthy mix of party and relaxation
Hi there! I'm thrilled to hear that you're enjoying our videos. Your upcoming trip to Patong sounds exciting! As for your budget, it's a bit subjective as it depends on your lifestyle and the type of activities you plan on doing. However, $500-$600 could be enough for a mix of relaxation and partying if you budget wisely. Bear in mind that while some things in Patong can be quite affordable, activities like partying and certain tourist attractions can add up quickly. I'd recommend planning your activities and budget ahead of time to ensure you can fully enjoy your trip without financial worries. Safe travels!
Yes but amenities no where near as good you’ll get more options better English the list goes on it’s more edgy to be in Vietnam but not cheaper when comparing like for like
10000THB for a room in a shared house with no pool and no gym on site is total BS my friend - you should be paying no more than 4000 PCM for that dump. For 15-20K you could could get a 1bdr self contained apartment with 50m pool and gym onsite.
Love seeing cost breakdowns like this! 😄 Thailand still offers so much value for such a rich experience! 🌅🌴
Thanks for watching and glad you liked the video! 😊
2,5 k is amazing for 2. The goal shouldnt be to just save money but also to enjoy your day-to-day life. Amazing video, thx for the transparency.

BJJ is more expensive than food. $280 sounds really steep. I don't think it costs that even in NYC or LA.

$82 per month for a scooter is an amazing price. They're charging $500 per month in costa rica.
Ouch! Costa Rica's prices have massively increased with the tourism there
How much is a new scooter?

Do you do anything to your tattoos in regards to protection from the sun?☀️☀️
Just sunscreen, which we put everywhere, and then reapply

Where you stay in Phuket
I am curious which place you prefer, Bali or Thailand?
Great question, right now B says Thailand, TJ is still torn
I live for less than $1500 in Greece. But Thailand is tax hell right now.
