If you wanna have a miserable time in S4, play enhancer! Not even from a pure dps point of view, but the entire lashing flames spread playstile falls apart in a big pull vdh meta.
Good luck trying to chase the 6 out of 15 moving nameplates with flameshock on it.
Awww mate tell me about it! Its not even that i dislike the tab target playstyle cause its fun but fucking hell the amount of times you tab into a target with no flame shock is so grim
Good video. Playing a bit of spriest last season before it got popular really drilled into me the importance of damage profiles and i feel like the vast majority of people don't take them into consideration when choosing what to play or what to invite to their group.
It's ultimately why i stopped playing spriest. ( i hated feeling so useless on tyr weeklies or on s3 dungeons which had a lot of packs with low health mobs )
The main difference between Shadow and Destruction is the fact that Shadow has insane priority target damage while maintaining that AoE. Destro warlock, on the other hand, deals with every mob with no way to prioritize one of them without resorting to chaos bolting, and most of the pulls do have a prio mob to kill before you can move further.
Yeah I hope they fix this issue of certain classes and specs being able to essentially single target a mob and do crazy aoe damage too.

Assassination is so low it isn't even on the list of specs LMAO
yeah this is actually something really misunderstood, people will look at tier lists and expect top dps from certain classes but those classes only shine at the highest of content. for the large majority of players, instant damage profiles that dont have to ramp will perform better than the "top" classes consistently. not to mention things like shadow priest requiring your tank to commit to a pull - often they will pull a couple and stand still so you shadow crash then they go pull another one lol
Target Caps were a mistake and should be removed bring back full uncap to everyone

Spriest is bad
Running tyrannical 8s or lower feels awful. Tyrannical week is easily low 300k while fortified is high 300k low 400k.

Did I misunderstand the initial part where you stated Shadow Priest is capable of 20+ target AOE?
Many specs have spells that are “soft capped” at 20 or scale up to 20…as he mentioned in the video UH DK/priest/rain of fire destro builds/boomkin starfall as well as starfire (I believe)…fairly certain there is also EQ/LMT for elemental shaman…beast cleave for BM..ignite scaling for fire mage etc etc…these spells typically don’t hit as hard as say divine storm…but they just hit more targets or deal more dmg under their “reduced dmg” conditions…this is why a ret paladin can shit on anyone if there are just 5 targets…but starts losing on pulls larger than 8 if the mobs stay alive long enough for the ramp classes to set up.
@okkipooky8612 So he did mean it that way. I understand what you mean, but a priest isn't just soft capped. Our single aoe ability is hard capped at 8. Beyond that, we have to single target each individual before getting into our rotation. It is only viable to dot a few during tank round up, then throw our aoe for 8 additional. Max is literally 12 before extreme dps loss, and that's only on pull for the first 21 seconds of the pull (realistically, about 16 seconds for pre-dotted ones), after that we are hard capped at 8 until next pull. And, there is zero damage going out on any mob that is not dotted, even if they are pixel-stacked.
Ele shaman was only doing damage because there teir sets were broken and getting the enhance four set too

@@antygoniusz basically you would get the feral spirit summon that enhance got for its two set and the primordial wave reduction on the cool down because of the feral spirits, but blizzard fixed it and it doesn’t work anymore, but it was blasting last week

Every time shadow feels strong to play (not just as a support for group) everyone rerolls and nerfs come swiftly. Reroll culture sucks.
What's the point of having a cap on AOE DPS on some classes when others have none. Either take away AOE CAP or give CAP to all DPS. FIX THIS BLIZZARD.
I understand why it can be problematic for balance, but, I think it is the same point as having different ranges, or different abilities, or different cooldowns.
It gives some variety to classes and their damage profile.

My brother in Christ. Just yesterday I did a pull and stayed at over 1mil consistent dps *because* the tank pulled 20 mobs. Nobody else even came close. Ret paladin isn't limited by *shit* right now.
To be fair, in a 20+ mob pull, 1m isn’t even close to what other specs are capable of. I’m a tank main, the first pull of brackenhide has about 20 mobs, have seen 1.3-1.5m by priests, mages and even hunters
@@Dandosa1 He means CONSISTENT dmg. Only Destro wl and retris are capable of this. :) PS: im a spriest main playing about 16-18 keys, :D Im giga fine but retris and destro wl are totally broken.

@@Dandosa1 At not even 500 ilvl? Only thing I've seen hit 1 mil sustained so far myself (in ANY group personally) was a single survival hunter, and that was in a +9 key geared af.
Indirectly calling for Unholy nerfs is almost as laughable as Survival not getting buffed.
You can do better.
