Elantra ✌️, bcz Sportage Alpha does not have a lot of safety features e.g Traction & Vehicle stability controls, EBD etc as being a crossover these features are a must.

Performance and efficiency of Sportage alpha is marginally better then FWD and AWD trims, as it is lighter in weight due to no sunroof and roof rails. 17 inch rims
Improve efficiency and increase comfort as well. In my experience Sportage has best suspension in term of comfort and stability if compared with its Chinese competitors.

With the Chinese you get a lot, lot more and a globally relevant model unlike a 9 year old obsolete crossover

8:20 stability control and traction control are two different things, traction control cuts the power if car starts to under/oversteer while stability control manages the projectile at which the car should move

watching again your review after 2 weeks, and based on my experience, You are right, that if I see my priority of a more comfortable cabin space , more head room, and a step towards CSUV segment then I would now choose Sportage Alpha over Elantra. Still few saftey features missing in Alpha which you get in Elantra, so it boils down to preferences.

Elantra ✌️, bcz Sportage Alpha is missing a lot of safety features e.g Traction & Vehicle stability controls, EBD etc and being a crossover these features are a must, so better move to its FWD variant.

My Fortuner sigma does 11 on highway and will give me 9 to 10 in city and the Sportage gives the same as Fortuner while the Fortuner being a bigger and larger car that's categories in the proper suv segment.

Diesels have much better fuel average than petrol engines. 2- average doesn't necessarily depend on car size. Corolla gli/Suzuki gives 11kms/liter. An Audi A4 gives 16kms/liter. Technology counts. New cars keep technology bohat achi he.

Buy one to know bro, it surely isn’t paid or biased review. I sold MG HS and kept Alpha after keeping this for 3 4 months due to its Comfort, durability, reliability, transmission, fuel economy and overall originality. I have it since 22 April.
Tbh when I went looking for a new daily driven nice car, I absolutely fell in LOVE with Elantra (minor facelift black rims leather interior wali), but that was when it was for 40lac with registration back in late 2021, it was an absolute steal deal back then to get it and ofc I do regret I should’ve gotten it too because of its ridiculous price appreciation now. But that I gave up gladly for the difference in price to get Alpha. I agree I should have had paid a little more to get FWD but it was short in availability and people were asking 5 lac own on fwd, this Alpha I got on 2 lac Own 😂. pstill this one has pros of its own over fwd i.e. better fuel avg and softer ride due to softer fabric seats and bigger tyre profile for smaller rims, full sized same spare wheel as the ones fitted.
Now for almost 70 lac over Elantra I believe honestly elantra is not worth it, it has no comparison to Sportage too for that matter just because elantra has electric seats and sunroof, . Ofc I LOVE it over All C segment Sedans corolla grande civics citys. Hyundai is great with sonata and elantra, but no way it goes that far to compete a CSUV that too amazingly built with a great and better dealership network. If talking about Sonata Id say that is surely wayy better than Sportage AwD even, but not elantra with this price point.
