I only took one sleeping train in my life, and it really contrast with this luxury one. The one I took was a TLK train to Jelenia Góra / Žilina (the train was divided at some point). I got on in Gdańsk, a major city in the north of Poland, and left the train in Bielsko-Biała (a city in south of Poland). It wasn't very luxury because it was cheap (TLK stands for "Tanie Linie Kolejowe" - Cheap Railways). The coaches were old Slovak couchette, and I think it had a trainwide heating system because it was very hot (and it was in January!). Also the train was from Gdynia Główna station (only 20 km from where I got on), but it was already like one hour late when it arrived on my station, they said it was because of overhead wires failure.
I recently went on a longer trip from northern Germany to the Czech Republic with the sister line. The cars were the same and besides it being slightly bumpy at times it was an awesome journey!
Sorry the delay was almost 8 hours causing you to miss your connection in Prague. Like you I would also select a deluxe bedroom with ensuite bathroom for an overnight journey. Thank you Thibault for posting this review.😀😀💚💚

Aren't passport/immigration checks between Schengen countries supposed to be abolished?
I was surprised as well, it seems like something that the Slovaks do as I have never in recent weeks and months seen any checks on Czech side of the border. And I have never heard any of my friends that cross the border often, that there would be any border checks.
There's not always passport check, they only can ask you for passport. Usually they just walk through train with police dog (searching drugs etc.) and ask suspicious persons to show them their ID card. So they will just look in your passport but not give any stamp or some border procedures :)
Schengen space doesn't mean totally free moving. You still to have valid passport or at leas eu ID card (or visa from some countries). Police or customs police still can stop you and check if you have some of this valid things. Schengen space only means that you can cross border without border search and check valid passport (and tax and tolls paper for goods in car etc). I would say it's same as cross US states. 5:40 "These are called DDm, from what I can tell, these seem to be ex-DB": No, they are ex-ÖBB, built by Jenbacher, hence the number with A-ČD (A for Austria). They are similar to the DB DDm 915 but have a differently shaped underframe. ČD repainted them to dark blue. As for the tables: They seem to be difficult to handle for the crew, I have heard of complaints from newrest/ÖBB about this. So for the new nightjets a different solution will be found (exact details have not yet been released).

Sněžník, is actually one mountain. Similar situation to Mount Everest.
These Czech Coaches also run Zurich Hauptbahnhof to Prague via Linz Hbf Salzburg Innsbruck Hbf. If are looking for an Austrian ÖBB Motorail train Documents by ÖBB Autoreisezug there's Hamburg Innsbruck and Wien Hbf Split/Livorno Summer Time.
Other motorail trains use the covered Hccrrs waggons which is the Villach Hbf Austria to Turkey Edirne Optima Express. If there's no Ddm 915 freight Sekqrs waggons CZ has Laaers560s that can run the train max speed 100-120 kmh. Early Motorail trains ÖBB DB Autoreisezug used Laaers 560s so did SNCF
Well even tho it was dellayed for 7 hours there probably was a reason for not putting you on the bus replacement But zssk has renovated their newer coaches It would be cool if you checked them out mostly on ic services
In the past, the Košice-Prague connection was operated by the night trains "Cassovia" and "Excelsior", which were notorious for being cramped and for petty crime.
