Please do how to pass exam in mathematics
Maths is such a fun subject when you know what your Doing.
So I don’t enjoy it 99% of the time.
LOL
Hahaha
Your zim yeh
😭😭😭
He had us in the first half ngl...
I feel like when I start a new topic I remember it then forget the topic before
still keep revising the old topics, but spend less and less time as you will be more familiar with it after each time you revisit them
When I start a new topic I forget the other one
@@sandrintebo4158 when u start a new topic review the old topic. Then 2/3 topics later review the topic again so u dont forget
I am an 8th grader taking geometry which at times can be rather difficult. To help me remember the previous topics and proofs i usually find questions to work on. This can help me figure out what i actually do need to review and putting the theory or way to solve the problem to use to see if i can actually use it .this shows whether i actually know how to do it or i thought i knew it.
@@studyster1660 that acualy sound pretty nice! Im also an 8th grader, however i take algebra 1, but I think that this might really help me study
Me: *watching this one day before my final math exam* 👁️💧👄💧👁️

So how did it go?
U r watching this 1 day before...

“You can either experience the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The choice is yours.” Keep grinding if you are reading you got this
lmao I never regret so that doesnt work for me at all :)
Thx for the motivation
Tysm I did so bad on my maths test and it’s really irritating (got my results yesterday) but Ik I still have time so ty and I’ll discipline myself and do what’s best.
Steel is forged in fire, and not all get equal access to the right flames.
The points mentioned in this video:
1. Dont copy from the board, attempt yourself
2. Do hw and practice Qs until youve grasped the concepts
3. Past papers
4. Re attempt Qs you couldnt do
5. Make a list of all your careless errors
Hope this helped!
Thanks alot
It did! Thank you

I do well in class but in tests it’s as if I’m a completely different student and I just forget the skills I inhabited.
i'm sure you can work on it! just nervousness?
@@ShaneHuang88 Possibly, I’m not sure.
Same here tho
Same
Same lowkey.
All great tips. Would like to add a huge one:
1. Study the chapter you will be learning ahead of the lecture. Therefore, you will become familiar with the material and the questions you have will be answered while the professor is lecturing.
Thats useful, more so in uni though :)
So true, the concepts are already hard. Add to that the unfamiliar symbols and formulas, if these don’t bog you down it’ll be much easier to understand the actual maths. It’s like trying to understand w/o knowing the language!
@@ShaneHuang88 Yes, but you do a sub-chapter per lesson in high school too, so you could definitely do this.
@@jordanbulakski3894 so true..😂
I do that one but with science
5 tips for studying maths :
1. Don't copy what the teacher writes on the board
understanding what formula that we will use
2. Do homework and practice questions until you have grasped the concept
3. Do past papers
Do the previous test/past papers
4. Reattempt questions you couldn't do
5. Make a list of all your careless errors
notes the previous mistakes of your test
1 tip for everyone: acctually study
Not bad advice haha
*acutally ,yeah you should too
@@aharisamaahina4069 yeah u probably should too.
@@lea5571 ok boomer
@@aharisamaahina4069 ooooooohhh
Tip 1 : Don’t write teachers notes, but try to understand the problems. What is going on, what theory is used and why you are using the theory.
*- I would rather take notes after class, so that I could reinforce my understanding further. Although this takes time, it's my style of learning, and I think it's worth it.*
Tip 2 : Do practice questions and homework questions (from the Study Design or Syllabus) until you grasped it. No need to do the same question over and over again.
Tip 3 : Do practice exams and tests; this is because past exams and tests are very similar to the present test. Same content = Similar Questions
Tip 4 : Reattempt questions that you couldn’t before. Extremely beneficial for difficult problems.
Tip 5 : Error Book : there are 2 ways you can get a question wrong. a) Silly mistakes b) Hard question.
Therefore, if you can get those silly mistakes to be prevented, then you should be all good
-If you get something wrong, on any questions;
1) Check solutions
2) Fill in the theory gap
Core Components;
a) Understanding (1. Does this make sense? 2. Can I explain it to a 5-year-old?)
b) Theory (Active Recall, Notio)
*c) Application & Practice (Past papers, practice questions)*
d) Error (flip flop on notebooks)
Revision;
1. Complete making theory and understanding.
2. Gather resources for application based on the syllabus and practice. (Active Recall)
3. Error Flip Flop on notebooks
Thanks😁
Thanks 💓🌸🌸🌸
Thanks
this is the facts:D you would rather type all your opinions then caring of the poor hands (MY HAND DIED SOOO TIRED)
thanks man W
I'm actually the kind of person who memorizes everything and thinks logically after I got the hang of things. Math is actually enjoyable when your brain and determination cooperates.
You probably do a better job at English than math kid. Just be proud to be a limited kid. I know it's tough, but you just gotta deal with being less intelligent than the average kid.
@@Outstacked2 my forte subject is actually English, and you're right.
I used to always score badly in maths. but for other subjects, I was so good. but maths was challenging for me. but now I can see improvement in maths I would like to u give the same tips:
1. make sure u understand the ncert perfectly.
make sure u do this first before anything!!!!!!!!!!!
2. clear doubts even if it is very small. don't keep it for tomorrow. do it today
3. practice extra questions( if u have extra questions sheets given by the teacher I would recommend that).
4.practice..............................practice.............................................
5. practice previous years question paper(also set time while doing it so u can manage time)
hope u guys will like it!!!!
Thanks!!
What is Ncert? What you said point 1

@Tayy in India, there are many syllabuses out of which is CBSE( Central Board of Secondary Education). And text books in this syllabus is issued by NCERT(National Council of Educational Research and Training). Hope it helped.
All this is real I really got an A+on my exams your good
Keep going💪
Some nice interesting points you bring up!
Thanks for sharing Shane. 👏
I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE MATHS. HONESTLY IF I HAD ONE WISH IN THE WORLD, it wouldn’t be to save people from corona or stop global warming, it would honestly be to remove maths
LOL
dumby
i love maths it's a language. If school was only maths that would be better because there's no remembering
do u like modern civilisation, basic healthcare, your phone, the internet etc. you do not want to remove maths as you will be removing the very comforts you enjoy in your daily life
this is me for music theory
This is why I never take notes because I never learn from it. It is best to understand it, then take photos of the notes to memory recall. That's smart thinking bro 👍
Great tip!
Big help!! Thank you!
Thank you very much! This was very helpful
These are some powerful tips, but these days teachers are unfair and too cruel so it's going to be kind of hard trying to apply these tips.
Main thing I took out was to keep practicing
Once you get the hang of it do it again and again. It isnt “practice makes perfect” but instead “perfect practice makes perfect”
Thank you so much for these tips I'm going to start tomorrow to see if this help me
Omg thank you so much! I didn't even think of these things. I'm having my last part of my math final on Monday. TYSM!
Great video. Really unique and interesting tips definitely gonna apply this and the concept of each tip you have given make logical sense.
Thanks!!
This was so helpful! I recently got the results for my Mock Methods exam and got 33% despite studying heaps. I walked in possibly overconfident and made so many careless mistakes that made me fail. Thanks for making this video and I'll try to apply these to my actual ATAR exams in a month's time.
can you pls make a video on how to self-study all your subjects at home
Yes that's a great idea! However that will be after some other videos.
Thanks for this video !!! I loved that you didn't drag any topics. Thanks for the tips 😁
Thank you. I’ve been struggling in advanced math recently so I hope o can apply these tips to do better
Thank you for making this video! Im gonna try this!
Hope you like it!
I really appreciate this video, however with new syllabus’ being implemented, it’s quite hard to study for ‘2’ and ‘3’ unite mathematics. I can’t seem to find any relevancy in using past papers this year :/ Besides that, great video !
Thanks for the effort👍👍
Shane Huang your tips are very helpful for me.thanks brother 🤗☺️
Tips 3 to 5 are great. Tip 1 depends on several issues. Tip 2 - no, no, no, that is a recipe for forgetting.
Tip 2 only works for the top learners, who have the ability to retain knowledge with very little practice. For more average learners, there is a clear distinction between understanding and knowing content. Rather than practice until you understand, after you finally do understand, practice until you are confident you can do it. Then practice again the next day, to see if it really stuck in your mind.
After I saw this video I started to get good grades thank you so mach for your help and I'd really like if make us video for physics because am struggling with it .
Thanks these are really helping me
Great tips, thnks fir sharing 🤗
I just wanted to let you know how much of an impact you’ve had my life. I got a grade 9 in my mocks because of your help. It takes strength and integrity to stand and be a leader of the youth. I will never forget you and the lessons you have taught me. Thank you for following your heart and giving us inspiration. I think it’s safe to say that you are my favorite ytuber. Not only do you teach with great dedication and passion, but you also provide me with a great example to follow and look up to. Thank you for all your effort!🙂
It’s very hard to find a teacher like you. You always put your students’ best interest ahead of yours, you’re a very hard working person that’s tremendously dedicated to your job. You are a great inspiration to us all! For the rest of my life, I’ll be extremely thankful for having a brilliant teacher like you. The lessons you have taught will be remembered forever while your inspiration will always give me the strength to succeed. 😃
Thank you 😊
any tips for a 9? im stuck at a 7
@@birdie7344 For mathematics?
@@xxwolf_gamezxx3358 yes
@@birdie7344 a 9 is easy once u know what ur doing and u grasp the knowledge, follow the brilliant tips in the video too. And in the exam, dont leave anything blank, write ANY steps in it and u will be awarded for it
Don't copy on the board is absolutely true. The time I tried to copy everything, I end up struggling to understand every topic I didn't pay attention to.
But it work for other in different ways.
Ikr instead of just do what are being teach, this help us to understand by ourselves and could apply it in other topic just how u understand it.
He is a smart guy!! God bless you for sharing
Thank you .You really helped me. 🙌

Shit! I'm in desperate need of passing my second attempt of LV2 maths exam I haven't studied much, I'm screwed!
I'll try to use your method bro hope it works!
I do decently well in math and this is exactly what I do... But my problem is that I always get bored when trying to learn math on my own: I only find lectures from teachers and doing work problems fun, but have trouble sitting down and reading the textbook
This really helps mee a Lott thanks for your video 💗💚
You are so informative. Thx
Im in year 7 and i find math really hard for me as im a visual learner so i just dont know how to explain my answer and work it out bc the teacher can’t go over every single thing that I can’t understand again
I’m also in year 7 and that happens
now this is epic
Amazing video!!
I’m about 2-3 weeks away from an Adult Learning Entry Level 3 Maths so looking up as many tips as I can at the moment. This was very helpful and actually my teacher has even suggested some in her class!
Hopefully this helps cox I'm already failing maths coz of depression....
Literally got 3/50 for my maths test and 80% for English.. I'm disappointed and scared.. I don't want to fail so I'm going to take your advice and come back later in the year with an update... a good one
This really helps , you're right thanks👍
Glad it helped
Thanks brother, hope it helps me tommorow
I dont think logically when it comes to math, I’m just like ‘oh wait i havent picked c in a while’ and ‘....7 looks good.’
hahaha

ATTENTION:🔊
The best tip I know is to write all the formulas for the test on a sheet and think over why the formulas work. Great video!😄
hope that helped..
Well...im pretty much thankful for you....for uploading an essential video...🖤
Pretty cool tips bro 🙌🙌🏻🙌🏽🙌🏿
I have 4 study days before my final mathematics exam. Do you recommend me spending all 4 days recovering content or spend first 2 days on recovering content & last two days attempting past HSC papers or spending all 4 days attempting past HSC papers?
2 - 2 would be my split!
how would you study over the holidays before yr11/12?
I think that holidays are actually a great time to relax/ take a break and do something different and fun. I recommend just doing a quick revision of what you did in the semester briefly over the holidays. :)
Thanks a million for your beautiful tips 🌺🌺
Glad you like them!
Thank you so much for making this! I really hope this helps cause I'm a freshman in high school who's honestly kind of struggling in Algebra II AAC...
I wish I could give more likes. I agree with you, and a lot of the same things you are mentioning helped me to improve previously.
But what do you think the solution will be when students are forced by their maths teachers to copy while he/ she is solving? because it gets erased soon, and they might not be sure on how reliable their mates notes are. Some student get punished for not writing in class, especially when the teacher does not wait after solving a question.
brother we have a math teacher we call him Eminem😂😂😂he is fast when he explains so if you want to listen you have to acctually stop writing and listen to him then write the note later on! i think thats the only option
maybe you can take a photo of the board nowadays, but I think its useless to copy it down, focus on actually understanding it then and there.
Tbh No matter how many learning videos I watch, I still only save these videos and do nothing.
Rip :(
AMAZING, valuable indeed
Thank you for sharing😊😊

You know this guy knows his stuff when he calls math "mathematics"
Yo bro, how much time did u spend on 3u and 4u back in yr 12? I heard that some people spend like 2-3hrs per day.
That sounds a bit right if you include class time. I normally spend 1-2 hours on average a day on Maths outside of class :)
Thank you brother ❤❤❤❤ love you
Thank youuu!!
I'm writing my mathematics exam in 2 weeks time and I'm still revising going over the topics making notes ect .My teacher haved advised me not to do practice problems or exam type problems now I sould study first and understand the chapter.
Because that what most of us do we been told to practice Maths but the truth is its better to understand the work first before you do qeustion
