Faye, just wanted to let u know that I’ve been using many of ur tips these past 2 months. And here’s my progress so far... 1). I was a S grade student and now I can confidently say I’m almost at a B🥰 2). My teacher had almost given up on me, but a few weeks back he personally talked to my mom and told her that I was improving a lot. 3). Ever since lockdown started back in 2020 I got used to this bad habit of sleeping at around 4am and waking at 1pm next day😔 but after I watched ur video abt waking up at 4am everyday, I started sleeping around 10pm and waking up at 4am:) (it was really hard at first but now I wake up with no problem and get all my work done) So thank u so much😭❤️ u changed my life and I’m so grateful for that😭 wishing u all the best for ur future sister:) trust me u have so many great things ahead of u:))

Hi there...I am a person who started studying the very first day of a new academic year...i studied with the classes daily unlike many others..in between i lose track and when the exms came, I started to prepare 2 weeks before, while many others where wandering. 2 days before the exam, I saw my friends seaching for the topics to study..I revised the chapters i studied and prepared day and night.When the results came, I was shocked to see my very low marks, I had to burst in tears and then prepared for the next upcoming exams..and do you know,after many exams, at last I ended up in writing a remedial exam to get internal marks for writing the final exam😔..now I am preparing for my final exams, and thus came across this video...I hope you will save me...wish me luck🙂🙏

Same 😢 I was revising completely the wrong way for science. My teacher doesn't help either she only says copy answers from the board. Like how is anyone supposed to learn if u dont explain properly? its so annoying that I mostly love studying, and I consistently try my best and work on all my study methods and things, I still am not a complete grade A student. and the worst part is that my friend is the complete oposite: she hates to study, she doesnt even have time, she never tries out anything and goes ot of her way to study better. but, she somehow memorieses everything the first time she hears it, and hasnt gotten a B at all this semester, only As. it makes me so demotivated but Im so motivated again cause now I have more methods!

The majority of times I am quite happy with my results however sometimes I am not impressed but thanks to this wonderful video I realised I was passive studying, so hopefully in preparation for the new school year I'm going to try to learn some active recall techniques and master the "ideal" study methods for me so I can get all those A's (and maybe the occasional B or C 😅) I loved the video btw Faye!
A year before in 2021 I used to study pretty well and passed with good grades but idk why I have lost my concentration now and doesn't feel like studying except a few subjects that i m interested in. I think following her tips could be useful and I should better follow the SQ3R method cuz I find it to be useful for me and help me learn in a better way.
this actually makes sense. In high school, this is the mistake and habit I did last year, Even though you're studying but still, your result is still bad compare to your friends. Something that worked for me is try to fit 1 whole chapter in 1 post-it front and back. I immediately memorized it like that. Also, it's okay if you have to use a very small font and separate with lines, the thing is it must fit however you can. Idk what is the psychology behind it but it did definetly work. Maybe it's because it's easier to take a mental "photography" because of the size of it and "see" it in the exam. Try and comment if you used it!

I swear. I need to talk to someone like you because, I don't really have enough experience of being a student due to medical conditions, which has really impacted my learning abilities in college. Now, I have to take a gap semester to find out whether or not I have a learning disability. Idk if I'll be able to survive during college, because too much causes me to experience symptoms. Idk what to do about this, because it's too much to prepare, especially that I can't really focus when it comes to reading. I keep zoning out, which keeps me from understanding many contexts. I just feel like my disability is preventing me from being able to continue with achieving my goals.

The part to keep all the material on the long-term memory is teach someone with the material you just study is totally legit. I used to do this before and its work. When i just learning the new material which is i didn't understand that much but i try to teach to the person next to me, i just explain what i just study before and boom when the text come over i just remember the way i used to teach to my friend before, it feel satisfied
Note: Understanding the material doesn't matter if you're in history class, or are required hundreds of terms. Also, what matters isn't learning, it's pleasing the teacher because that's what you're actually graded on half the time. Also, school is about grades not learning first and foremost.

2:01 I do something like this when I have an exam. I go on each chapter and I divide what I have to study into parts. Then, I give a title to each one, which is basically what the part talks about. It has helped me very much!
Thank you so much for this video but I have been struggling lately because I have a teacher that has a favorite.I feel discouraged by the way he treats me and the others, I won the spelling bee against other grade levels and so did my other classmate (he won in digital arts contest) however our teacher didn't congratulate us only his favorite.There was also a time when I was placed 3rd in our test in math,the 2nd placer was a student who rarely participates in class even when called and the favorite was the 1st placer,I know how to accept things like that but what really saddens me is the way he says that our classmate (favorite) was placed first.He told it to the class in a tone that sounds like he was happy that I wasn't the 1st placer,I am very relieved to see that the favorite improved well since when we were in elementary,she wasn't very good at math and had to take remedials.I study hard to be a better student than I was before and I feel like all my efforts and hardwork are wasted if they go unappreciated.I don't know if I am being selfish and self-centered but if that is the case, please tell it to me and I will change, I really need your advice so please I am begging you.

Same 😢 I was revising completely the wrong way for science. My teacher doesn't help either she only says copy answers from the board. Like how is anyone supposed to learn if u dont explain properly? And when we ask her to explain she only does it from markscheme 😡 but doesn't explain that answer and what it means.

its so annoying that I mostly love studying, and I consistently try my best and work on all my study methods and things, I still am not a complete grade A student. and the worst part is that my friend is the complete oposite: she hates to study, she doesnt even have time, she never tries out anything and goes ot of her way to study better. but, she somehow memorieses everything the first time she hears it, and hasnt gotten a B at all this semester, only As. it makes me so demotivated but Im so motivated again cause now I have more methods!

The majority of times I am quite happy with my results however sometimes I am not impressed but thanks to this wonderful video I realised I was passive studying, so hopefully in preparation for the new school year I'm going to try to learn some active recall techniques and master the "ideal" study methods for me so I can get all those A's (and maybe the occasional B or C 😅)

A year before in 2021 I used to study pretty well and passed with good grades but idk why I have lost my concentration now and doesn't feel like studying except a few subjects that i m interested in. I think following her tips could be useful and I should better follow the SQ3R method cuz I find it to be useful for me and help me learn in a better way.
this actually makes sense. In high school, this is the mistake and habit I did last year, Even though you're studying but still, your result is still bad compare to your friends. Something that worked for me is try to fit 1 whole chapter in 1 post-it front and back. I immediately memorized it like that. Also, it's okay if you have to use a very small font and separate with lines, the thing is it must fit however you can. Idk what is the psychology behind it but it did definetly work. Maybe it's because it's easier to take a mental "photography" because of the size of it and "see" it in the exam. Try and comment if you used it!

I swear. I need to talk to someone like you because, I don't really have enough experience of being a student due to medical conditions, which has really impacted my learning abilities in college. Now, I have to take a gap semester to find out whether or not I have a learning disability. Idk if I'll be able to survive during college, because too much causes me to experience symptoms. Idk what to do about this, because it's too much to prepare, especially that I can't really focus when it comes to reading. I keep zoning out, which keeps me from understanding many contexts. I just feel like my disability is preventing me from being able to continue with achieving my goals.

Work smarter not harder when teacher says the concepts that will be on the test you ONLY STUDY THOSE CONCEPTS NOT THE WHOLE CHAPTERS only remember the main concepts of the chapters and what is being taught in class that is what help me to get 90s on exams.

The part to keep all the material on the long-term memory is teach someone with the material you just study is totally legit. I used to do this before and its work. When i just learning the new material which is i didn't understand that much but i try to teach to the person next to me, i just explain what i just study before and boom when the text come over i just remember the way i used to teach to my friend before, it feel satisfied
Note: Understanding the material doesn't matter if you're in history class, or are required hundreds of terms.
Also, what matters isn't learning, it's pleasing the teacher because that's what you're actually graded on half the time. Also, school is about grades not learning first and foremost.

2:01 I do something like this when I have an exam. I go on each chapter and I divide what I have to study into parts. Then, I give a title to each one, which is basically what the part talks about. It has helped me very much!

Thank you so much for this video but I have been struggling lately because I have a teacher that has a favorite.I feel discouraged by the way he treats me and the others, I won the spelling bee against other grade levels and so did my other classmate (he won in digital arts contest) however our teacher didn't congratulate us only his favorite.There was also a time when I was placed 3rd in our test in math,the 2nd placer was a student who rarely participates in class even when called and the favorite was the 1st placer,I know how to accept things like that but what really saddens me is the way he says that our classmate (favorite) was placed first.He told it to the class in a tone that sounds like he was happy that I wasn't the 1st placer,I am very relieved to see that the favorite improved well since when we were in elementary,she wasn't very good at math and had to take remedials.I study hard to be a better student than I was before and I feel like all my efforts and hardwork are wasted if they go unappreciated.I don't know if I am being selfish and self-centered but if that is the case, please tell it to me and I will change, I really need your advice so please I am begging you.

im usually not satisfied with my results because i get some questions wrong for stupid mistakes. and i always compare myself with others (because my BM sucks and my friends are smart). i always lose motivation whenever i reach my study table or start studying. and also, my exam starts on 3 days and the first one is BM and i don't have time to revision as i have activities and BM is my weakest subject. anyways, thank you Faye for providing good videos for us, ilyy!!
