For anyone doing this as of the update, when you get to the "Cross roads" you just need to go up to the wall on the right hand side and climb up, once up go west and then north and Safalaan is there

When you run all the way north, you will hit up against the castle wall. You need to right click on the wall near the red herald banner to "climb wall". Safalaan is a little bit north along outer castle wall (straight ahead/north of where you climb up). Hope this saves some people some damn time.

One request is that you put the journal entry whenever it may update, so we can check and make sure we are where we need to be. Just a small thing that may end up helping. (Saying this as I just messed up on the quest. Not a big deal, but potentially could help others who make a larger mistake)

This was the quest that kept me from keeping my quest Cape back in 07. I did Contact! Even though it was kind of annoying, but seeing the agility map and the vampires that swoop down and suck blood I was just like, nope. Looking forward to finally doing this quest tomorrow!

@@pelipper5595 Underground Pass was actually one of my favorite quests. I loved the creepy atmosphere, it really made you feel like you were all alone down there. Plus, I had a decently high agility level so I didn't fall too much at the chasm.
Note to anyone having an issue with getting the message from the fireplace: you must be interacting with the fireplace on the BOTTOM floor. Using your knife on the fireplace on higher floors will not work
aaaaaa Mort'on teleports are very expensive, if you are using FAIRY RINGS (BIP) to get to Burg de Rott, DO NOT accept the free teleport D: he accepts it because he will use the teleport scroll but you don't need to speak to Drezel again, whenever you're done talking to King Roald just head to the fairy ring

I have all 3 papyrus sketches, and he won’t take them. He says they do not seem genuine. I have destroyed them and got new papyrus and completely re did the sketch part and he still will not take them from me. Any suggestions l?
Guys I really need some help when I use the knife on the fireplace it says you don't really see where you would use that. I've googled so many times and don't know what i did wrong please someone help
I had the same problem, you have to speak to the lady (something Guile?) by the southern sketch point before you make the 3rd sketch. Then head over to the fireplace and you should be able to use your knife on the fireplace and the painting before going back to Safalaan. Hope it helps.
Okay, so this quest is slightly different now. When he mentions running north along the wall "until you reach a crossroads", that "crossroads" isn't there anymore. You now have to climb up onto the castle wall via a "climb up" option to the north, and then run further north and to the west. The guy you need is there. The following part with the sketching looks different, but it's just updated models. I'm commenting with this cos it spun me out for a couple minutes.
The quest is a little different since the Draken and raid changes. Just keep following the road North and climb the castle instead of the crossroads. Rotate around the castle and you'll still see the symbols on the floor as normal. Be warned, your prayer DOES NOT carry on through the cutscene on the 3rd Papyrus sketch.
That’s the same for any quest anyone who says they like questing is a liar. If u gave someone base 70 stats and 1bill gp but didn’t let them use ANY guides even a pro player wouldn’t be able to do em.
you HAVE TO talk to the npc after the cutscene for the third charcoal sketch. it will allow you to make the sketch but once you go through the mine and continue on it will act as if you don't have the sketch even though it in your inventory. makes no sense and stumped me for over half an hour making me redo a lot of things and want to kill myself. don't make the same mistake by skipping the conversation on accident

GUYS! he doesnt tell you, once you completed aid of myrque you get a temple library key if you're not an idiot , and kept it at the end of the quest just bring it with you at the start 11:53 slayer retrieves his key back but i already had one but it was in the bank so just a small inconveince

Ive been following your guides to the point where we're both speed running them so i instantly tped out only to find i didnt get the message from vertida! So i had to redo the whole course again FML. I am unable to cut the tapestry at the end of the quest. I did all the same things you did but it keeps saying " you find no reason to destroy this beautiful looking tapestry."
Any reason as to why they moved it? This is really aggravating. I found an area where you can climb the castle wall, but don't know how to get to it. It seems to be blocked off. Also, it says to climb down. So, I'm assuming it's the wrong one? West side btw

Remember to go through every chat option with Veliaf Hurtz before going to Drezel for green key.
Otherwise you'll have to go back to Veliaf.

you forgot to talk to Sarius Guile (the woman that saved you) again after she saved you or the third sketch wont register
