    That’s really cool.
    I work at a archery business where I use these every day for detailing deer heads.
    For instance the white colored neck and inside of the ears, black bordering for the ears, black for the eyes surrounded by white. And plenty of other different animals
    I never knew u could take off all of these parts. I would typically use lacquer thinner to clean them.
    I’ll have to show my work buddies tomorrow since fridays are our cleaning days. Thanks alot

    Paasche H is the airbrush for me! I've tried the pricier double action airbrushes, and even some very expensive models, but I always go back to the simple & sweet Paasche H.

    I have had my Paasche H for over twenty five years (possibly even longer) and it's never let me down. Like the earlier post my model does not have the Teflon ring!
    Thanks for the tutorial.

    I don’t know if I’m wrong but the O riña and the teflon part can be threaded inside the nozzle, at least that’s how it came when I bought it. The O ring has a a notch on one side that can be used with a screwdrive

    • @ScaleModelKitReview
      @ScaleModelKitReview  5 лет назад

      Yes you are correct. Thanks for watching!

    • @RC-qw8nk
      @RC-qw8nk 8 месяцев назад

      Yes, the ptfe o-ring, goes threaded into the nozzle, there is a retainer that gets the o-ring in place, and the retainer must be threaded softly, enough to seal the nozzle an the needle. Also its not recomended to sand the needle, because the dimensions will change ant the airbrush will need more adjustments frequently, its enough to clean the needle and nozzle with thinner, acrylic, laquer thinner or IPA, depending the paint you used..

  • @swdw973
    @swdw973 Год назад +1

    The teflon packing can wear out over time (Usually a LONG time). Once you get it and the nut installed, you adjust the nut so the packing grabs the needle, but not too hard. This gives the seal you need for good paint flow and atomization. If the needle moves easily with the nut tightened down all the way, or you get sputtering with the packing tightened, it's time to replace the teflon.

    Enjoyed the ease of cleaning the H but after a while noticed how rough the atomisation was when compared to an internal mix.
    Now using a paasche Talon with the 3 head set.

      I keep hearing this, but don't get why people are having a problem. I lay down Stynylrez primer right out of the bottle with the H and get a perfectly smooth layer. For heavier more viscous paints, it's the go to over my double action.

    • @LemurKrazy
      @LemurKrazy Год назад

      @@swdw973 depends on the paint. Stynylrez self levels.

      @@ScaleModelKitReviewmissed your comment. These days the talon is only used with largest needle and fan cap for larger models.

    The brass ring and rubber washer goes INSIDE the needle nozzle, not on the needle. If you look at the brass ring, it has a slot through it where you can place a screwdriver to tighten it inside the nozzle.

    Is this the best. A lot of people say badger is better. I have a master and it sucks. The paint has to be almost water to flow thru the brush

    I recently received a very old and unused airbrush, and it has paint caked into the round part of the airbrush where the needle attaches, how should I clean it?

    • @ScaleModelKitReview
      @ScaleModelKitReview  4 года назад

      You will need to disassemble the airbrush and soak the metal parts in a stronger solution such as lacquer thinner or Acetone, then I would recommend you replace any defective or worn parts.

      Your correct the nut should have the screwdriver slots facing out to be able to remove and replace the packing, I believe I replaced the whole needle valve assembly which comes with the new packing and nut.

      I agree complety. I'm done with it. I hate this airbrush and I am on the verge of throwing it in the garbage or smashing with a hammer. It's great if you want to airbrush rubbing alcohol, but nothing else flows through it. I'm going back to the crappy aztek that worked for years.

    I've never had one of those teflon rings on the needle like the one in this video. Seems to work fine without it.
    Always neat to see how different people do things but if I were cleaning up this airbrush, I would just let it soak in dried paint solvent for a while, then disassemble. That way, I wouldn't have to scratch it up with sandpaper.

      Not sure way the ring and the nut are on the needle; I have 2 H set and the nut and ring are assembly in the nozzle; I believe yours works fine because the ring is doing its job inside the nozzle
