- Several MPs have raised concerns about Eskom's proposed electricity tariff hike of up to 40 percent, which could force millions of South Africans to dig deeper into their pockets.
Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa assured citizens that measures will be in place to cushion the impact.
Yesterday's debate in parliament also covered NERSA's decision to allow Eskom to recover R8 billion retrospectively for 2021/2022.

The only citizens that pay more for electricity as a result of the hikes are those that actually pay for electricity, those that "steal electricity" do not pay extra!
You guys are having the wrong debate, eskom is exploited by the coal suppliers which does make sense since the minerals belongs to our country. Guys, life keeps on reminding us that there is no fairness. Why are they paying so much on coal and diesel? This us just poor incompetence. Now we have to pay the bill.

So what we dont get is NHI Bela bill eskom allcosts billions and for instance NHI could hike VAT where is all the money for these agendas? Poor gonna start selling their emotions for food soon and jobs like domestics soon to be a removed job choice atleast in the freelance sector
