Huge effort - well done! I must admit the most satisfying step for me is when like goes with like - the items are so much easier to grab and therefore to use - if you have to spend a half hour trying to find the knee pads - or you sort of know that you will have to - then it's just easier not to even suggest skateboarding. Or the tool chest - where you just want to nip down quickly with the five minutes you have to grab what you need to repair the small thing you noticed in the house - but you know you have a mountain of boxes between you and the item - it's easier to think ' next time '. I love to see a space fully useable and ready to go for whatever the day may bring! Perhaps ask Erica to do up labels to go onto your discrete totes - that always helps items go back to the right area.
The jars screwed to the board brought back fond memories 😊. ❤ the videos where you tackle the spaces together and this one did not disappoint! 🎉 Enjoy that newfound space!
I clear my garage out every summer and have it power washed and cleaned. Able to hire someone very reasonably and it forces a deep declutter as the date approaches. We keep very little in the garage due to road dirt from the car & mice droppings. Ewww. I like keeping my car inside 😌 a clean garage.
Amazing! When my hubby got to his garage, it was such a relief for him when it was done. Everything has a spot and there was no more stress! I bet Andy feels the same!
I loved how easily it seemed that Andy picked up the camera and filmed his own decluttering. The garage looks amazing. It is so easy for them to become the catch-all place. Mine is like that right now. I was hoping my husband would do some decluttering when he was home in June, but he didn't. I have my own decluttering to do in there, but it is too hot here in Central Utah to spend it in the garage.
Suggestion: lidless box on that light bulbs-command hook-fastener shelf. Dump the random stuff in as necessary to contain the clutter. Sort and put away when full. And dome labels on bi s will help if Erica or the kids go to get something. Fantastic job!
All I can think about is the movie stepbrothers for the scene “ so much space for activities” when Andy has all that room up in the front now. Way to go. Stealing the idea of the bin with the camping chairs inside: genius !!!
You both did such an amazing job. It’s so great storing like items together, and it’s amazing to think that you’re teaching your kids the joys of organization by example.
Good video. We are working on one thing at a time in basement. Been doing this since June. Little bits at a time is how we have to do this and it is getting there.
I have found that the fastest way to get rid of something is to offer it free! Especially if it’s larger/heavier items. Chairs, a cabinet, and landscaping blocks are just some. I also ask very little money for other things because I want it gone!!
lookin great! slow to watch... I did my garage the weekend/day before you posted this approx. I was surprised that I found so much more garbage. we go through it twice a yr... tho this yr busy w life it was pushed till now. I got the usual straw, other garbage, and sorted some more stuff into categories tools and other stuff I tend not to put away so it was dumped with gardening and other randoms stuffs. some car stuffs migrated to the garage that shouldn't be there... its not a clean garage as wildlife can get into it, and barn cats. This yr first time bumper crop of centipedes impossible to clean up ugh, they are everywhere, ewwwww. We take everything out, sweep, sanitize the floor ... let it dry , put it back better. gets easier every yr. still have to put up more hooks etc to organize better. get as much as possible on the walls and pack n stack the rest. we also had delays bc it said NO rain... and it did... but everything was tarped before we left for the day. the more space you have the more you will fill it up, so smaller spaces are definitely better. we avoid putting things in the basement incase of humidity or flooding.. so we have it on the main floor, and deal w it, lol. when we first moved in it took yrs to deal with everything... we had 2 previous owners stuffs to see what we wanted to keep or go ( donated as much as possible, metal guy for the busted rusty junk), e waste, hazardous waste, recycling piles.... and garbage. now all categories are manageable sizes. we appreciated the turnkey home having tools etc... tho many were more than doubles... 6 same style shovels ( WHEN does anyone need that many???), 4 big push brooms, 9 glass cutters etc etc.. so we donated or gave some stuff to neighbours or family. kept some JIC. we still haven't fully checked the basement workshop... got rid of a lot but not to the bare walls... that was less cluttered but still has tools and nic nacks etc. we did check a little yrs ago.
Great video! My brother and I just "tidied" my mother's garage, a necessity since the death of my dad. Such a great feeling to get this sort of thing done. I know you're both happy to have it done!
Thought this whole series was great and you guys were getting ready to move till last week when Erica is going to hang a shelf . 😮 Always nice to see Andy.
Serious partner envy after watching this. My OH finds it SO difficult to get rid of anything in the garden shed or the garage. Its a constant struggle...
Nice to see that you are both taking on the task of managing your home :) I do have to warn you that your house number got shown a few times close to the 4 minute mark, so you might want to redo the censoring or reupload it with a better censoring.
I love giving free stuff on Facebook. So easy. Are you guys moving? Also, forgot that in that area most homes only have a one car garage. In Minnesota that age of house has either a 2 car garage or 3 bay garage. LOL
Finally some authenticity back on this channel! The last year has been repetitive preaching about “living simply” and “minimal-ish” while there are still hoarded, cluttered spaces like this, the hall closet, and the basement. This is the content I was subscribed to for years. And the lack of this content is why I unsubscribed several months ago.

To add perspective--it's been a big year+ of grief and figuring out lots of things. I'm guessing the direction of the channel was reflecting what had been on her mind/focus as she's continuing her journey. All very authentic. I don't think there was ever any hiding, just different things focused on. I do have to say, though, the straight-up decluttering videos are also my favorites. I liked this one a lot and wish it was longer! ❤
The Dynamic Duo Decluttering Team of Andy and Erica!! You two are so great together! LOVE these videos! Love you both ❤
Thank you!
I love to see couples working together to make life easier and more organized. Good job of decluttering ❣️
Great job Erica and Andy. The garage looks so much clearer. 👏👏
Andy did a amazing job he should do more videos more often
Great job! Garages are magnets for stuff!!
Huge effort - well done!

Andy has a great narration voice.
Well done Andy!!! The garage looks great!!

Wonderful work... Andy did a terrific job of decluttering and organizing the garage as well as being the star of the video for a fun change.
How about revisiting the basement? Especially with the holidays coming up - it would be a good time for another pass!
What a relief to have that done ! Good for you .

You guys did so good! Loved Andy's calm narration.

Yay for the Andy's in our lives!
Great work!
Growing up my dad did the jar under the shelf trick with plastic peanut butter jars :)
Great job, Andy!! You should challenge all husbands to get into those garages 😂
Awesome team, you two are 👏

Incredible video, Andy!!
Great job, Andy! Teamwork makes the dream work! 🏠
Awesome work, you two!!! Hope you did some little thing to celebrate and reward yourselves!!
Andy is also a great narrator! Power couple!
Good video. We are working on one thing at a time in basement. Been doing this since June. Little bits at a time is how we have to do this and it is getting there.
Good video! My dad (over 40 years ago) used to do that with baby food jars. He put various screws, etc. in them. I thought he was a genius!
My grandpa had his on a spinner.
Great job and fun to see you both decluttering and organizing.
That was great. I bet ye are loving the space. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 👏👏💪👍🙏💐
Well done Andy be well 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Looks great! Well done! ❤❤❤❤❤
Andy, don't forget to level your containers!!
Way to go, Andy!!!
Having a shed, garage, and basement almost makes for too much storage!
It did look great. Good to see your hubbies process.
Nothing like a job well done!
Great video! My brother and I just "tidied" my mother's garage, a necessity since the death of my dad. Such a great feeling to get this sort of thing done. I know you're both happy to have it done!
Fantastic job!
👏👏👏👍💞
A place for everything and everything in its place, looks so good. 🌻🍄

Well done!!
Serious partner envy after watching this. My OH finds it SO difficult to get rid of anything in the garden shed or the garage. Its a constant struggle...

Andy has a beard!!

Great job! Do you want to declutter my garage? Really good video!
Ha nope 😂
I love giving free stuff on Facebook. So easy. Are you guys moving? Also, forgot that in that area most homes only have a one car garage. In Minnesota that age of house has either a 2 car garage or 3 bay garage. LOL
Andy would love a big garage! No not moving
@@EricaLucasLoves move to Minnesota! 😉 and also I like the shorter video.
When did garages stop being to store your car when not using it? (At least one of them?)
We tried fitting the cars in before we moved in. Neither fit. The shelves make it impossible and we don’t see changing it.
@@EricaLucasLoves I understand. My 1964 house includes a 1 1/2 car garage. Fits car and stuff. Luckily.
I was wondering - did you guys buy the house or are you still renting?
Renting
Why are you selling the RV?
We just do not get to use it as much as we hoped we would n
Hi Erica, have you guys bought this house or are you still renting it? Great job in the garage!
Still renting
Hi
Will you be buying a house soon ❤
Maybe!😊
Great video but your most expensive item your car is still parked outside
That is the smallest garage I have ever seen. You can't even put your car or truck inside. Good job.
