Ethan Nwaneri deserves a UCL debut tomorrow, idc what anyone says qualified, can rest players and if arteta doesn't play him it confirms what i already know that man does not promote youth players
Nwaneri looks well suited to this team. None of the goals were particularly world class, but are a reflection of the team understanding each others strengths & finding Nwaneri at the right moments. Very impressive team performance and it's difficult to pinpoint how he will develop. Congratulations Gooners!

It's at times like these that I kinda miss Europa. He and Lewis-Skelly would have their debuts by now if we were there. But I guess Foden didn't need Europe to make his break at City, and also Rico Lewis. If you're good enough, you're good enough. Hopefully Arteta sees it that way too.

Funny thing is, if you are a talented youngster, you actually have a better chance of breaking in at City than Arsenal. Arteta doesn't take chances with youth at all, and yet to integrate an academy player from scratch, if that Lewis kid was at Arsenal, I doubt he be getting minutes, like at City.
@@tetasoso9581 Yes, but none of these players were integrated into the first team. Saka as talented as he is, may not have integrated into the team, if he was found in the academy by Arteta. The thing is, Arsenal and City are in 2 different places atm when it comes to their freedom to integrate youth. Arsenal are under huge pressure to win a major trophy as they haven't won one in almost 20 years. Youth takes time to develop and that's time that won't be given by people who are now impatient to see Arsenal produce major silverware. City on the other hand won the Treble last season and are in the hunt for their 4th PL trophy. By contrast, there isn't nearly as much pressure on them if they start using youth that will take time to develop.
Better and more rational to experiment with Nwaneri than to gamble with a costly ready-made striker who could be sidelined for months by injury after a few matches.
