it's gonna be masterclass, advanced techniques, so i assume you have big experience already me, who has done a few lines on my arm and leg: alright, i'm ready for this.
Wow absolute knowledge bombs! And Nicholas Todd OMG thank you for adding him into the mix when explaining using the form. The mans artistry is absolutely breathtaking!
wow you just perfecty summarized everything i wanted to know at my stage of tattooing. thank you so much. this is one of the few subscriptions that actually feel right.
I'm not someone with a lot of experience in fact I have none but I learned something I had been wondering about in the first lesson on your video on super black ink vs Reg black ink so I'm glad I came back and watched the video after leaving the first time hearing the disclaimer about only being for experts. Cheers
Very clever stuff, simple yes but if you aren't shown it then you don't know.... So thank you kindly. I really look forward to making the grey! Happy Days and God Bless
Fantastic vid. As usual. The content and your sincere poised presentation is greatly appreciated. Its a breath of fresh air to see a seasoned artist resist the doushey tendency to be stingy with any practical knowledge when it comes to revelation on this platform. Thank you again. This video has improved my fine line black & grey.
Amazing information thank you Michael. Knowledge about art. Really interested in moving on to a different level of tattoo not just the regular point of view or taboos in tattoo world
You are an awesome person and even greater artist thank you for all that you do and helping myself grow as an artist in this industry so much good information that I will use thank you
Good lining ink is dynamic or one of silverbacks if you want consistency I would use silverback this is why you change your lining ink you don’t use the full cap other wise it’s watered down with water and blood so I use a few different caps and only use about a quarter of a cap of each and it stays black
This information is Gold! I have seen the best portrait tattoo artist from Sullen Ralf Nonnweiler use these techniques to accomplish his real life looking tattoo portraits. Not first hand, but in his videos! I am not a professional tattoo artist, but I am an artist. I've seen other amazing artists use the same gray ink to create amazing realistic looking wilderness animal tattoos! Seen them use these grays in their ink set! It is amazing! Their tattoos come to life! All I can say is... you can not learn this in an apprenticeship from just any tattoo artists!
Great video! Had a question in regards to "double dipping", wont dipping from one color to another contaminate the color you worked so hard to achieve in the 1st place? Why not just make another cup of a different shade?
Amazing video. Your very knowledgable in technique and you seem to have a great way with explaining things. I've been tattooing for 10 + yrs and always enjoy learning anything on the subject. I recently purchased the dragonhawk mast and am planning on transitioning from xoil wrapped machines to rotary pen if all goes well. Any recommendation for the best cartridge needles to use with it? Not much knowledge on it yet and dont really want to use the tester cartridges that came with it.
G'day John, I'm curious to know how you feel about the Dragonhawk Mast you purchased? I'm just looking at getting one myself.. Also I have been doing a lot of research regarding cartridges and THE new "EZ Revolution" cartridges I think are the best, the ink well is incredibly smart, very consistent and at a very reasonable price! Happy Days and God Bless
Hi I have watched your video and I am very interested in the section of the shorter curved mags, I use Cheyenne hawk carts but I cannot find the type of needles that you say have a smaller curve . Would you be so king and email me the type you are talking about thanks as most are classed as soft edge I use the black type but looking at the images they are deep curved or is it the Cheyenne Hawk Craft Magnum Soft Edge Cartridges you are talking about? Thanks also I have not tried the kwadron or magic moon carts but looking at those the curve is quite deep.
When a tattoo heals you lose between 15 and 20% of the tattoo from healing depending on the type of tattoo. Unless you don’t go outside and you have creamy white baby skin then the tones will stay. Fusion and eternal are great.
Love the vids, but i have a complaint, your music volume is about 10 levels higher then your voice volume...and the music screams at me unexpectedly throughout your videos. Other then that keep up the good work.
Great video - thank you! Can you suggest an alternative to the Fusion Muted Blue please? Would Eternal Blue Concentrate work with the Eternal Dark Brown?
It's truly the master course. I watch many videos about tattoo and he is the first one to mention it
it's gonna be masterclass, advanced techniques, so i assume you have big experience already

agreed 100%
You shared some very important tricks and for that I thank you sir
Your tip about brush strokes, and giing against the form, instead if with it, was game changing. Thank you.
Against the form
I will be hearing your voice saying that..
Thank you!!

very comprehensive explanation for the grey mixtures. Love the info and cant wait to get my mix on!
I like that how he informed the apprentice to pay attention to curvature of magnum needles to insure proper ink injection.
Wonderful information!
