The first time I ever did twists on a client I used the 3rd method, it ended up looking beautiful but I found that parting the hair horizontally kept it looking really clean! Parting vertically left lumps and uneven looking root sections. So that helped me a ton!!! Also if the client has weak hair I wouldn’t recommend using the third method, the weight on her hair was too much and some of her hair broke off.

Great job. I think your twist have a higher chance of slipping because u put all the hair on one side. They stay better when I separate it evenly on both sides with the fake hair for methods 1 and 2. Your work is so nice and neat. Thanks for the tutorial the close up was very explanatory.

My daughter's are feeling themselves with their new hair dos!! I put beads at the ends to keep the twist from coming undone since i can't get that part to stay and don't want to burn the hair, but I'll get there with practice! Thank you again for this!!!

I had to watch 1,000 bad videos in order to get to one that was truly useful lol The 2nd method blew my mind because NONE of the girls showing the crochet method ever wraps the hair around the base. Much more secure. But my actual favorite is the 3rd method, although the gap in the middle bothers me as I do not have very dense hair and I feel like my twists would be too scalpy. Anyway THANK YOU!

The 3rd method works for me. I have very straight, sleek, slippery and thin hair so everything always falls out within a few days.
Apparently my hair agrees on being twisted in a rope like that and it stays in, even after showering or cycling through stormy weather.
Thank you very much for showing how to do it on non curly hair.
