In this video I discuss what exactly is the Atkinson cycle and how you can change a regular engine in Ricardo WAVE to an engine that runs in an Atkinson cycle environment. I use WavePost to show graphs of regular engine vs Atkinson cycle engine for fuel consumption and pumping losses. Lastly, I dicuss the pros and cons of using the Atkinson cycle.

I am glad Adrian. Something you can use in the materials handling industry?

Hi Adriaan could you please explain how to connect the y junctions to the ducts in the model. I'm making my own simulation and I'm getting error such as the duct cylinder is not defined and the port boundary was entered as "auto".

Hi Adrian, these videos are of great help! Thank you very much!
Can you make tutorials on Wave Mesher?

I have not used it before, but I can definitely have a look at it. Where would you use it?

@@AdriaanVanNiekerk I am trying to import a 3D muffler model from Solidworks to find the transmission loss using Wave Build. But to use it in the Wave Build, I need to add connectors and mesh the component so that it could be used in the Wave Build easily.

where can I find the files for the 4 cylinder engine model? you mentioned something about finding it in the tutorial forlder. where can I find that?

It is located in your program files: C:\Program Files\Ricardo\2019.1\Products\WAVE\Tutorials
Do have a look in C:\Program Files\Ricardo\2019.1\Products\WAVE\Examples as well as there are a nice collection of engine models.
