You seem like a smart guy (not as hot-headed as a lot of the other motorcyclists) and just wanted to know. I have another year to decide my major and you seem to have made all the right choices.

Sucks man. :-( What security did you have on your bike? I hear about R6s getting stolen too often, tbh, with very few exceptions. It would suck if my bike was stolen. Although the dent in the tank, mismatched wheels and front end, DIY headlight brackets, ghetto wiring, hacked subframe, etc, probably doesn't attract as many thieves as a shiny R6. Hope you have better luck with your next bike!
When something is stolen, it's always one of the worse feelings you get, especially when it's something that is equal to being part of the family. When I crashed my old bike and it was totaled out, it was a really horrible feeling, even though the bike I have now is much better. Kick in the nuts regardless.

All I can say is try to find ways to better secure your bike next time as much as possible, such as disc locks, chaining to immovable objects, alarm with GPS tracking, and whatever else, and of course if possible bring in and lock up indoors. I hope you can get another one soon!
i got this exact bike, a couple weeks ago and dropped the damn thing on my foot. broke it (my foot, not the bike), and i'm unable to ride it for awhile now :/ my story isn't near as tragic is yours my friend, i hope they find the bastards that took her, the r6 raven is such a beautiful bike. i hope you get another one

This is where it gets challenging...the suspects: a criminal in the vehicle registry system or insurance company (they know what you've got and where you live), a thief in your neighbourhood, someone who followed you home to pinpoint the bike or a crime of opportunity by a stranger...let us know who did the dirty on you...okay?

I felt so upset and weak.The funny part is that i live inside a military post.Now im waiting for the Texas DMV to send me my new plate and registration here in Kentucky. good luck in the search of a replacement.
I feel for you...I guess I'm lucky my bike goes in the garage and into the basement for winter storage...but don't feel too bad...a friend of mine put his Gold Wing up for sale the guy who came to see it wanted to take a test ride...he rode it down to the corner turned right and my friend NEVER SAW IT AGAIN! It took months to get an insurance payout. Sorry, man...
I was seriously considering getting a late model R6 but you and Chase's bikes getting stolen has totally turned me off! Yeah I don't live in the south but honestly, I can't go through losing a motorcycle to theft! This sucks! Dont get another R6 seems like they are the most stolen bikes. get yourself a dual sport or super moto they hardly ever get stolen at all. If you do get another sport bike make sure its ugly as all hell with missmatched plastics. That way no one will want to try to steal it to sell the parts online.
I feel like there's a gang or secret society or something that JUST steals peoples R6s, maybe for some sort of strange motorcycle rituals, or they think that specifically R6s are like... too dangerous for the public or something... Really sorry about your bike. It hurts to listen to. :/

doesn´t matter i think chase´s r6 was chained down, they can cut it pretty fast, i guess the only way to stop them is a garage or something to keep them from your bike

The r6's are easy to steal that's why they get targeted the most. I had a buddy who had one right after the other stolen....got himself a cbr 1000.

Most thieves like to hit at night when most people are in bed sleeping. But i work at night , so when i am off work i am up at night.
I've had 2 burn down in a fire and 1 stolen ill still haven't gotten another one but when I do I def won't take it for granted
