wow 52 MPH that is nuts!! My girlfriend (who also rides) was amazed when she walked in the room and realized a girl was going over 50 MPH on a wheel!! 😂
@@YourAubsome I wound up posting a snippet of it, but he pulled me over because he stated he was curious as to how fast it was because he was trailing behind me by two cars and he was going around 52mph. He noticed I was upright and couldn't figure out what I was riding. Once he got close enough to see, he pulled me over to ask how fast it goes and to caution me to be careful since I wasn't fully geared since I was just testing the new motor and the body cover I received from FreeMotion. I'm glad he did stop me because I did not feel as though I was going that fast nor was I geared up for that speed. I was trying to get out of the way of traffic because the trail I was on ended. Lol
Did you know that EUC World has options that allow you to customize them to do everything this does (but the flashing light)? It's true. I wear my phone on my wrist and EUC World vibrates when the wheel hits whatever speed I want it to. It also allows you to set alarms for various states of battery percentage to account for voltage sag. This amazing app also allows you to transfer all auditory alarms from the EUC speaker to whatever Bluetooth speaker you are using, thus negating the need to buy a third party hardware like this. Don't get me wrong, I love this tech and it's a great option for EUC riders to stay ever safer and that's never a bad thing. I'm just saying for a more cost effective approach, a software solution might be the option that works for more people. Anyway, thanks for making more great EUC content for the community. You are one of the good ones. =8-Þ
Oh you are definitely correct on your points. My thing is sometime, depending on my location, I lose signal. I don't want to be THAT person that needs something and not have it than to have it and not need it. Lol
Sorry to hear regarding the cutout crash, I believe that a buzzer is only part of the solution personally I dont rely on the buzzer or beeps as wind noise can prevent the audio warning from being heard. I connect to EUC world and have audio alerts on via bluetooth I never ride without earphones in so always aware of the speed limit of the wheel. Secondly I have my phone strapped to the lower part of my forearm using the Quadlock arm band, this is for two reasons 1. I am able to frequently check connection and speed of the wheel. 2 EUC vibration speed alerts are instantly felt. Get well soon and thanks for posting, information is king.
Thank you for the love and support. I never relied on the beeps either. I'd record myself and play it back to track my speed at the 1st alarm. I'd then calculate roughly 4/5miles which would give me a guest-imation of my max speed. This process was done on every wheel I owned, which can be cumbersome to do. I'm elated the Speed Guardian has streamlined that process for me.
It can do that and then some. I was pulled over by a cop doing 55mph. At the time I did not have the Speed Guardian, I was just keeping with traffic like I was in the video. I'm glad I was stopped or I might've had another cut-out because I didn't hear the beeps nor did I think I was going THAT fast. Lol
Your my hero !!! 😂😂🤣 a lady out here riding and really doin it big in these streets !!! 50 mph ➕ I love it !!! You go vee !!!! Thank you for the informing video !!! I have a rs-19. I think if this would work on that unit, this can be mad helpful for me. I hope you feel better !!!
Aayyyeeee! Thank you for the love and support. I appreciate it and you. This device most certainly will work on your RS. I wished it was around when I did several of my speed drills with these wheels. Lol
@@juliansdiamonds Lol., I thought about that; however, I have no excuse. I knew I was in danger territory because I had my phone out looking at my speed. My eyes got big when the app showed 49.5mph. For a brief second it showed 50mph, but I guessed I leaned to hard forward causing the cut-out at 49.5mph. Lol
Well, I can't speak on it, but after riding off roads on the west coast, there were some dead spots we were in wherein phone service was not happening. With this device, it doesn't require internet access, it's tied directly to the wheel's motherboard.
Since it’s tied directly to the board wouldn’t that mean that it only goes off at the preset 80% factory speed warning instead of 80% smart alarm warning? So you could cut out at a lower speed before buzzer even went off without smart alarm no?
@@_Mr.Mayhem_ Not quite sure I'm understanding your question, because I'm perplexed by your "Smart Alarm Warning". The factory alarm is "Smart",so therefore, having a low speed cut-out is all but non-existent unless there is something faulty on the board that would by-pass the speed alarm. Again, this is just a speed alarm warning you that you have reached the 80% threshold set-up by the manufacturer. It is not designed to detect anything faulty other than you have reached the minimum threshold before a cut-out either though over torquing the wheel or going too fast for the battery level whether you are at full capacity or at minimum capacity. Hope that makes sense.
I’ll rephrase… the factory 80% speed alarm is a static number. Does this device adjust for voltage drop to keep you at the same 80% safety margin as your voltage drops throughout the ride?? Example db app smart alarm lowers speed alarms linearly as voltage drops to keep you at the same safety margin. 80% speed alarm at 100v won’t be the same margin at 85v.
I have to laugh because I set-up that day to record the speed test; however, I did a b-roll of my new RSS I had just took out the box for it's first ride., rode to the location I was to set-up my camera. Forgot I did not turn the camera off from the b-roll. Cut the damn camera off, thinking I turning my camera on. Did the speed drill, did a cut-out right in front of the damn camera. After getting my ass off the ground, I ran over to the camera, thinking I cut it off and I cut it on. Talk about asss backwards. I guess Divine intervention was working for me that day. Lol
@@kaetee79 Thank you for the compliment. I'm glad I made it out of a 49.5mph cut-out with a busted wheel, tire marks on the top of my TSG helmet from the wheel somersaulting off my butt cheek (TMI) and burning my pants, to running over the back of my helmet and rolling 25 yards with a busted and cracked frame. Oh yeah, let's not forget the skin I scraped off my thumb sliding. Lol

Lol, I've actually gone 55mph and was pulled over by a cop. This was before the Speed Guardian and I was unaware I was going that fast.

This is a great addition. Has it been used on the Sherman?
Yes, it can be used on the Sherman. It is designed to be used with any EUC.
Anybody know how to install this kn the Sherman?
Just reach out Killian at EUC Speed Guardian Shop.
