That’s the problem with always online games. You are essentially paying to use a license which can be revoked at any time. If not about if they shut it down… it’s about when cause it will happen eventually

Was? It still is. I really enjoy the game, but POIs are still not saving, road discoveries save one session, then they don't the next, I can hardly finish a race because I get disconnected... great stuff.
Yeah, that's another thing that annoys me about always online games. I wouldn't install cheat mods, not that I really have any desire to play multiplayer anyway, but I'd love to be able to add mods to do minor visual things like changing generic signage and storefronts to real-world signage and storefronts that aren't in the official textures and models of the game due to licensing issues.
I have no clue why this isn't pointed out more, modding is the only reason why the previous Test Drives lasted so long. And its not in this one... sad.
Crazy that The Crew series just announced that they'll make their games playable in offline and immediately got more than double the player count compared to Solar Crown thanks to the $1 discount on The Crew 2. They need to ditch that always online ASAP if they want to survive.
I bought Motorfest this week because of the offline announcement and the fact that they got rid of the "motor pass" from the second game that should never be in any racing game.
I can't help but think it's not a coincidence that The Crew 2 was available for $1 this week. My wild unfounded conspiracy theory is given further weight by the fact that from what I've seen there are five times as many people playing The Crew 2 today as TDU: Solar Crown.
I don't think they did it to interfere with TDUSC. The devs for Solar Crown were already doing a fantastic at killing the game before release. Announcing a roadmap of content that should already be in the game right now was the death blow for it, the terrible launch just made the 6 foot deep grave into a 12 foot deep grave.
The player number on TDU are so low because their servers are potato and no one can log on, or stay logged on. Its a shit show. Oh, and the graphical optimisation.... looks like they forgot that.... well, it looks like they just forgot to finish the game tbh. Awful.
The most disappointing part of the game to people of Hong Kong is the city itself. They just took the layout of some roads and made it into an American city. Not just the feel of the city, but the cars and the characters give no reference to the car culture
Wait, what? The first TDU was a bigger hit than TDU 2. Yes the latter had many new features, but it was just a bugfest in the beginning. Not to mention the horrible physics, which should be the most important thing to get right in a racing game
@@horvathr95TDU2 is one of my favorite racing games, physics weren’t great at all but I got used to it. It was manageable. Everything else the game offered was just too damn good.
The Crew Motorfest launced well and it's still going relatively strong, plus they've already announced an offline mode coming some time in the future. It's pretty much TDUSC but actually good.
It’s crazy how grand theft auto 3 from 2001 has more pedestrians walking on the side of the road than this brand new game set in Hong Kong 23 years later
Oh man, being able to buy property, go shopping, enter the casino, do deliveries, and do licences, all that made me love this game. Nostalgia hits hard now.
If I were you I would play the older titles in the mean time. This game isn't worth it at the moment but the older games are still fun games to this day with mods even bringing the online servers back
We warned the developers nearly a year ago when they casually mentioned always online. They ignored us. They can have all the plans in the world but if the publisher stops funding them the game will die just as quickly as the last two in the series. Really shines a spotlight on Alain J. At least Stephane has had 3 successful game launches. Maybe they committed to a rushed launch date because they thought FH6 was around the corner.
solar crown genuinely just exists to market off of the nostalgia of 1/2... the second someone manages to bring tdu2 servers on the ps3 and 360 back online, this game is going to lose a lot of players
Getting houses after launch, which were in the previous games since launch is like buying a car with no steering wheel/one tire just for it to come sometime months later
I'm not buying it until they add an offline patch but, yeah, I think TDU 2 had fairly optimal progression where you had to do some grinding but not too much grinding to earn cars. The missions and especially the FRIM made it easy to earn a lot of money outside races. From what I''m reading, FRIM in TDU: Solar Crown has a daily limit, unlike in TDU 2 where the FRIM was unlimited. Daily limits to FRIM and nerfing payouts for replaying races too many times in one day is something I'd expect from a free-to-play game but it's not something that should be in a game I'd be paying money to purchase.
Its a ps5 game. We never imagined the games to look this bad graphics wise atleast. Man this generation of gaming is underwhelming even tho still plenty games to keep yourself busy
They did try, they just did a poor job at showing that they tried. There is some neat attention to detail that gets overlooked simply because it isn't very prominent or noticeable.
Never buy a product based on post launch promises. After watching you play the beta, i knew this game was not for me. I'm bummed for those who were looking forward to this game to see it's state at launch isn't much better.
Feel like this will be a Kerbal Space Program 2 situation. Tons of content "in the works" just for the entire studio to be laid off without a word from the publisher.
@AR12Gaming 🤣 I mean tbh I love racing games and the story and then if you complete the story you wanna customise your cars or something like that but unfortunately you can't in this don't get me wrong I'm enjoying it so far just would like a little visual customisation
The payout nerf also applies if you abandon the race and start again. I had to restart one race a number of times after the AI kept kicking me wide past the checkpoint. When I finally finished the race (for the first time) I got less than half of what I was usually getting for races in the area. Sucks to suck I guess.
I’m curious is this nerf strictly on a daily reset or if you go do a different race or change your car and then come back will that also reset the grind nerf?
My thoughts as someone whos playing the game as well: Always online - i cant say anything that someone else hasn't said. Always online sucks for any game that isn't an exclusively online game like something like Valorant or League. There needs to be a separation. Missing features - there's so many buildings in the game that could could have been utilized for things like clothing stores. Also huge emphasis on the missing events that KT said would be in the game. One of my favorite things about TDU 1 and 2 was how they made you WANT to buy those super cars. I didnt know anything about them but doing my first "dont scratch it" event made me fall in love with the Ferrari F430 and made me wanna work to buy the ca rin game later. There's no little hint of the end game in this game. Sure you can go to Ferrari and test drive an F40, but its just not the same. Progression - i think TDU progression is pretty good with their secondary tasks, its when you run out of those secondary tasks when things get iffy. The currency seems like its simulating Hong Kong dollars and they give you plenty of money especially with those secondary tasks. But when you complete them, you're stuck grinding races that dont give enough XP to level up and then they nerf the grinding. Also i havent heard anyone talk about this but you only get 10 uses of the FRIM everyday meaning it makes 0 sense to collect that $1000 prize because that's a wasted opportunity.
Take it from someone playing the game: the game is so fun. But the issues make it feel dead before it can even feel alive. Hopefully these patches and updates can make this game feel alive. I dont feel like I've wasted my money or anything i just feel like its gonna be another Horizon 5 situation where it releases poorly and then later down the line they make it a good game.
I hate how so many games today get delayed by 2 or 3 years only to get the shittiest launch ever. I hardly ever get excited to play a game at launch nowadays, I usually wait a few months.
Ubisoft took a piss in their cornflakes by confirming offline modes for both The Crew games, while Nacon was confident enough to release TDUSC without listening to feedback regarding the issue. Serves them right, honesty.
those 5 things you mentioned about the game are what makes a game, and most are missing/undone properly, so we're technically missing a literal game here. what's happening with test drive unlimited solar crown is really concerning.
With the online only requirement, i was expecting freeroam lobbies of up to 32 players. Its only 8? I have even seen a single player on the map, let alone meeting up and cruising.
Ya for real the only reason you would do always online servers would be so you could have a fully immersive world with lots of real ppl driving around but then limiting server size to 8 completely kills that idea and makes having always online become completely pointless. Plus it being region locked just cripples that even further
Like what’s the gimmick here? I know it’s hardly a TDU game. I’ve 1st placed every race up to the grand touring. Discovered 75 percent of roads and half the radiant prizes. Have about 12 cars and 1.1 mil. I’m barely level 27 like what else is there to do ? TDU2 was so packed and engaging how did they not even remotely match. I don’t even know what else to do in this game
Discover more of the map and keep collecting radiant prizes. The AI definitely need nerfing so for the meantime, just keep collecting money and levels from the map itself. Also, you kindov can grind events, you can do an event 2 or 3 times a day before it starts nerfing your rewards, then move onto another event, preferably time attacks to avoid the AI & races in the rain, the AI always spin out and you can just run from them
TDUSC launch just proves beyond a doubt relying on Online is a bummer. Needs Offline pronto. Edit: Why not look at Forza - you can pause in race, and see other players paused and not move when paused till they unpause
Had to refund this shit. Honestly it was ok when I played it, but the fact that when you drive the cars, it feels so bad. Compared to other well known titles, and at this price point, I have my reasons to keep my expectations high. I don’t recommend you play this game unless it goes on sale or it’s a last resort.
Dang man, you are bursting my bubble. I’ve been waiting years for this game. I’m not the best at driving games, so restarts, and difficulty settings are a must for me.
The back and forth is an API call, as you said it’s sending / receiving data, which takes time, small bits yes, but the more calls it makes, the longer the lag. When we’re building apps etc we want to reduce API calls not add more.
And a quick tip about off road… hit the brake and ebrake at the same time to get the car to rotate. Don’t hold them together long, use that combo to your discretion to whoever is reading. And same for drifting in general brake and ebrake both same time to get the car to rotate then feather throttle out of the turn.
I played the demo, and by that I mean I downloaded it, opened the game, made it into the main menu, watched it load for 10 whole minutes, went on my phone as it loaded for another 10 minutes, and then it crashed my PC. If they thought that’s a game they could show to the public, than I don’t feel like it’s necessary to pay for it.
It’s not perfect but I’ve played several worst racing/car games. Plus solar crown is nostalgic for us older heads who grew with the og Test Drive games. I think the updates will come.
The developers should have used the previous TDU games as inspiration and build upon it. The real estate could have been in the game on day one, and customization could have been more extensive. At least they got the online social aspect right, if the servers work properly.
7:11 Nick-ception lol With the nerfed payouts, I think that they are trying to artificially extend the lifespan of the game so that they don't need to provide regular updates.
My biggest issue with the game is the always online and being forced to race against other people. I have no problem with online racing, but being forced to do it is a big no for me. It's the main reason I stopped playing the game like 2 days after it came out and went back to Star Wars Outlaws
Biggest annoyance for me aside from the servers, has gotta be the camera settings or lack of. No invert makes the game incredibly frustrating…. And for times I’m looking back, why can’t the gps change so I can see the road behind me. Really underrated feature that.
This franchise should've stayed dead if this is the genuinely the best they could come up with after 10 years. Everybody involved with this game should be embarrassed.
I feel as though TDUSC got the absolute wrong mix of arcade and simulation driving. NFS focused on the arcade side with a bit of simulation and it feels great. Forza titles tilt a bit more to simulation then arcade and it feels great. The always online is trash. This is an industry standard, but that doesn't mean that it's good. Server issues just highlight this. Lack of features that racing games have and slow ux make the game feel like it's stuck 20 years in the past. The grind is something that i understand. This should not be forced. If I have the time and enjoy a game I will happily grind to get the money. However, sometimes we are busy. Adults are often playing these games. If i have 2 hours a week to play allow me to use cheats. I have limited time and sometimes i just want to try a new car and upgrade it. Without cheats i might need 3 weeks of playtime to get the funds. Thats ridiculous. Let me cheat, let me enjoy the game offline without affecting others. Let me get the money, play with the cars, and have fun my way. As long as the implemented cheating system does not affect the experience of others it does not change or hurt them. It allows me and others to enjoy the game more.
The grind nerf I kind of understand, they're trying to prevent you from doing a massive race with a high payout back to back to back to try to push you to try other races, that's fine, but I would have had, like you said, the difficulty slider, which in turn, would adjust how much you get as a reward, that would be a much better game design, along with lowering prices to a more reasonable rate so you aren't doing tens of hundreds of races just for that one car that costs literally over a million bucks
Few things that annoy me about the game too. The VW Beetle is the wrong year, it says it’s a 1965, but it’s at least a 1973 as it’s a late Beetle and it’s a 1303 (Super Beetle). The bulletin notice that comes up mid drive during what ever you are doing because you up a level. Because it’s online only, it’s not showing any races I can join I can join so I’m just endlessly driving around. I couldn’t access the game at all yesterday, first logon error, then just endlessly loading getting no further than the ‘press any button’ screen. I ended up just playing Forza Horizon 5 because I was annoyed with the waiting.
Was waiting for this for so many years ...Today I m 28 years old an the only reason I didnt bought day 1 was the no offline mode...Hope it will gets one in the next years and maybe a lot of people change their mine and buy it!
Bad thing is Crew1, 2, and motorfest are supposed to be online racing game as well but they give you everything you talked about in this vid, TDU developers need to take notes from them.
One annoying bug is that hazard light always turn on for me on xbox. When turning it off, it goes on instantly again. No matter if I drive, race or parked. So yesterday and today I have played with hazards lights on , all the time. Drives me crazy
How did we get a game like drive club with photo realistic graphics and amazing physics on a 11 year old console (ps4) but with a much newer console (ps5) we get pubg mobile with super cars
I love this game but my biggest gripe is the difficulty like you said the ai is just op I’ve been playing car games for years but it’s getting so difficult to beat the ai (without meta cars) I’ve opted to just grind time attacks since they’re easier and never really scale
As someone who's never had the opportunity to play a TDU game, and having heard such great things about the first two, I was excited to become a fan of the franchise with Solar Crown. But just seeing it in action, or lack there of, has really dampened my excitement for it. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't still curious, as I do still want to play it at some point, but it really just makes me feel like they didn't really care all that much and they just wanted to make yet another game with the TDU title. It doesn't really make me want to be a part of this franchise's history.
So to basically sum it up: It's indeed the Test Drive they think we deserve, but not the one we needed. It's sad, because i was actually looking forward to it, knowing TDU2 had a rough launch but ended up being actually a killer, but TDUSC...yeah, not sure about it anymore.
The AI in general is horrible too, they break either too early or too late, sometimes they respect that your beside them, sometimes they dont. It makes it frustrating to race.
I didn't know that this game had so many limitations that I don't even know can exist, like the game being online only will mean that you cannot restart a race or cannot pick difficulty of the AI. They should really do what Ubi did with TC2 and TCM and made an offline mode. This game has potential though. Given enough time and care by the devs, I do think it can make some sort of a comeback like FH5(perhaps won't be as popular as FH5 but you get the idea).
The difficulty scales to your skill level. If you keep winning races the difficulty increases if you then start losing races the difficult goes back down. This was literally something I noticed during your playthrough when you started consistently losing. But of course as usual you were oblivious to such a small detail
Games been fully released today and yes it does have a lot of issues but let’s pray that they actually listen to their players and fix these issues so we can they can enjoy the game.
As or right now I`d really just like for them to make the game work, in all honesty... Yesterday I opened the game and did the tutorial, and right after that I tried to invite my younger brother into my group so that we could explore the map together: the game imediately crashed as soon as he accepted the invite, and after that I could no longer play at all because as soon as I`d reach the hotel lobby, the game would stutter and than crash. As it turns out from googling the issue today, the issue was to do with voice chat, and desabling it allowed me to play. However, today I tried to play with my brother again, but out of some 10 attempts, we only appeared on eachother`s screens a couple of times while in free roam, and my game would ALWAYS crash withon a few minutes of creating the group, regardless of who invited who. I play on XBOX, btw, so you`d think crashes would be fairly uncommon, atleast compared to pc. During my playtime both me and my brother kept getting save error messages, and even during races we started, to see if that woud put us on the same lobby. During these races I kept getting this error message, including mid corner on more than one occasion. Also, while I vary much doubt this would be the case, I kind of hope the graphics are in some way linked to the servers, because holy early PS3 are the grahics on console subpar, with the shortest render distances I`ve seent on shadows and various objects in atleast the last 10-15 years, foliage that looks bad compared to the original TDU on low settings, and a lighting system that makes the game feel uncanny in a bad way. The strangest thing about that is that is that I`ve seen gameplay from various youtubers that presumably mostly have 4080s or 4090s, and the game looks really good. Not the graphical leap over a forza horizon that would justify needing such high end hardware, but still, the game can look vary good. Also, I find it funny how Nick thinks the dirt handling isn`t great, and is the worst part of the driving model, and yet from the other "reviews" I`ve seen from the likes of Boackpanthaa, Hokihoshi and Failrace, the general consensus regarding offroad physics seemed to be that is was vary good, and for some it was the best part of the handling model. Though admitedly they all seemed to use the duny buggy for the dirt races, and not the range rover, which I`d imagine would handle lile a boat in comparison. I personally can`t say either way because my only experience was with a 370z on stock tires down a dirt road, and it felt more or less how I expected
My biggest issue currently is that I can't even play the game. I'm on Xbox and I got to the point where you teleport to the shop to upgrade your car, but every time I go in there the game crashes. Issue: every time I open the game it spawns me in there and crashes before I can even turn around. On top of that they've been deleting bad reviews on Xbox so if I 1, can't play the game today because it crashes and 2, figure out my review was deleted, I'm requesting an immediate refund.
The difficulty isn’t based on progression. It’s based on win streak. The more you win, the tougher the AI gets. The more you loose, the easier they get.
I have more interest in replaying TDU1 and 2. Personally what felt great about those was how it almost felt like role play in a way, you progress the game not only by buying better and faster cars, but also nicer and larger houses, all scattered throughout beautiful areas of the map, (which gave me that excitement of exploring the environment) having different garages and driveways you could actually drive through when leaving or going in. TDU SC seems more focused on racing, which I guess is a racing game, but it lacks what I would refer to as a lifestyle simulator. Hawaii and Ibiza also looked way more appealing to me, I loved doing races or mindlessly driving through the mountains, open roads, and the beautiful scenery it had to offer. TDU SC seems very different from what the roots of TDU are, especially missing all the features from older games mentioned in this video. (personally, I haven't tried TDU SC myself, but this is why it hasn't really looked appealing to me)
Honestly with how lowkey the launch hype was, I forgot this game was even coming out this month. Now seeing this video, the probability of me getting it right away is even less. Too many problems in this video alone for me to want to give the devs any money until they fix the game that should have been good from launch. I know many if not all games at launch these days have some bugs and issues, but this one just looks like a complete mess. So I shall pass for now.
the 1 thing i would want to dev team to do is watch tdu2 start to end of the game and then make the differences to the test drive game

Forza Horizon is to blame here. They put the bar so high that is almost funny to see how other developers just ignore how much FH have improve the genre and release games like Solar Crown.
This was a small comment that ig turned into a rant... apologies ppl😅😅 On the topic of offroad races, I found it weird... nick pointed it out very well... for the most part I feel like i had to use the handbrake for every turn and powerslide the entire way which worked great until the ai just ram into you and push you off course (again this is mostly because im shit at the game and the physics might play a role) and the ai difficulty is also very unpredictable in my experience... some race just feel impossible even when im at the top of the class and custom tune everything to make things work, the ai just walk past like im standing still. As someone who never really got the chance to experience tdu2 in its glory I thought this might be my chance at seeing something similar and experience something similar with a community... I pre ordered the gold edition and I was honestly happy for the most part but... I just hope they fix things and deliver an amazing game. Cant wait to meet a bunch of you guys on tdu sc... To good times ahead🥂
I agree that always online is bad, especially when the servers are crap. But you gotta remember that The Crew has always been always online, and previous TDU games have been always online up until they closed down the severs. I think always online can work but at the same time, I'd much rather prefer it to be offline and online optional as it just makes loading times faster, and everything much easier for the player base.

Why can't a car game just launch well?
Why can't any game launch well
The Crew Motorfest launced well and it's still going relatively strong, plus they've already announced an offline mode coming some time in the future.
It's pretty much TDUSC but actually good.

Rockstar just stays winning
Compare it to Sleeping Dogs and it's even sadder, it's not even 1:1 Hong Kong but feels more Hong Kong than this trash.
Oh man, being able to buy property, go shopping, enter the casino, do deliveries, and do licences, all that made me love this game. Nostalgia hits hard now.
As a man whos never played a TDU game, this makes me not want to play a TDU game.
Top tier marketing
If I were you I would play the older titles in the mean time. This game isn't worth it at the moment but the older games are still fun games to this day with mods even bringing the online servers back

if you can stand the 360 era graphics, check out the first 2 games
Cars Look like bars of soap sliding across tiles
We warned the developers nearly a year ago when they casually mentioned always online. They ignored us. They can have all the plans in the world but if the publisher stops funding them the game will die just as quickly as the last two in the series. Really shines a spotlight on Alain J. At least Stephane has had 3 successful game launches. Maybe they committed to a rushed launch date because they thought FH6 was around the corner.
solar crown genuinely just exists to market off of the nostalgia of 1/2... the second someone manages to bring tdu2 servers on the ps3 and 360 back online, this game is going to lose a lot of players
Actually the servers on PC still work and you actually play with people with mods.

Was there plastic surgery? I don’t specifically remember that but I didn’t go deep into the personal customizing part of the game.
That’s hilarious.

Car looks like it's floating lol
There is a restart option but only for time trials. Makes you wonder why they didn't add it to normal races too.
Such a soulless game using the TDU name for a quick cash grab
I've never seen a racing game look so lifeless. They didn't even try to make something halfway decent. Most generic looking racing game ever.
For me what’s missing is the car customisation because it’s 2024 I want to make my car look great and not boring looking I feel that’s what is missing
TDU2 didn't have a ton of customization. If you want that, play something else.

1:49 aint no way nick had a skill issue intentionally
Happy birthday, Nick 🎂
The payout nerf also applies if you abandon the race and start again. I had to restart one race a number of times after the AI kept kicking me wide past the checkpoint. When I finally finished the race (for the first time) I got less than half of what I was usually getting for races in the area. Sucks to suck I guess.
I’m curious is this nerf strictly on a daily reset or if you go do a different race or change your car and then come back will that also reset the grind nerf?
honestly was not suprised the game flopped so hard. we had a slim chance Kt would pull off a real TDU game
My thoughts as someone whos playing the game as well:
Always online - i cant say anything that someone else hasn't said.
Same
Ubisoft took a piss in their cornflakes by confirming offline modes for both The Crew games, while Nacon was confident enough to release TDUSC without listening to feedback regarding the issue.
Serves them right, honesty.
amazing since ubisoft did something right
those 5 things you mentioned about the game are what makes a game, and most are missing/undone properly, so we're technically missing a literal game here.
what's happening with test drive unlimited solar crown is really concerning.
Also, you kindov can grind events, you can do an event 2 or 3 times a day before it starts nerfing your rewards, then move onto another event, preferably time attacks to avoid the AI & races in the rain, the AI always spin out and you can just run from them
Sounds generic and tiresome
TDUSC launch just proves beyond a doubt relying on Online is a bummer.
Needs Offline pronto.
Edit: Why not look at Forza - you can pause in race, and see other players paused and not move when paused till they unpause
Had to refund this shit. Honestly it was ok when I played it, but the fact that when you drive the cars, it feels so bad. Compared to other well known titles, and at this price point, I have my reasons to keep my expectations high. I don’t recommend you play this game unless it goes on sale or it’s a last resort.
This takes built from the ground up to a whole new level
I spent hours at a time in that casino.
If a game is grindy it shouldn’t be boring and repetitive
It’s not perfect but I’ve played several worst racing/car games. Plus solar crown is nostalgic for us older heads who grew with the og Test Drive games. I think the updates will come.
The developers should have used the previous TDU games as inspiration and build upon it. The real estate could have been in the game on day one, and customization could have been more extensive. At least they got the online social aspect right, if the servers work properly.
7:11 Nick-ception lol
With the nerfed payouts, I think that they are trying to artificially extend the lifespan of the game so that they don't need to provide regular updates.
there is literally a restart button for time trials, absolutely unacceptable for that to be missing from races.
My biggest issue with the game is the always online and being forced to race against other people. I have no problem with online racing, but being forced to do it is a big no for me. It's the main reason I stopped playing the game like 2 days after it came out and went back to Star Wars Outlaws
I wasn’t going to buy Motorfest…..but when Ultimate edition was for sale at 70% off it won over TDU
Biggest annoyance for me aside from the servers, has gotta be the camera settings or lack of. No invert makes the game incredibly frustrating…. And for times I’m looking back, why can’t the gps change so I can see the road behind me. Really underrated feature that.
Let’s be real we just wanted what they made before but updated
If Sleeping Dogs were a racing game, this would be it.
Can't wait to get this game for like 20 bucks when it eventually gets a discount and the devs add Ibiza, the casinos, houses and other stuff.
4:14 at the minimum the could have done the "forza upgrade basket" method that only communicates with the server once.
that delay when buying parts online is awful. you can really feel it when playing online vs offline in NFS
So glad I dont pre order games anymore
No one believed me a year ago, When i said the game would suck.... yet, here we are.
How did we get a game like drive club with photo realistic graphics and amazing physics on a 11 year old console (ps4) but with a much newer console (ps5) we get pubg mobile with super cars
Alexvii was glazing this soo much lmao
3:12 The AI difficulty actually adjusts to how well you do in races. If you keep losing, the AI will actually go from expert to experienced and so on.
I love this game but my biggest gripe is the difficulty like you said the ai is just op
I’ve been playing car games for years but it’s getting so difficult to beat the ai (without meta cars) I’ve opted to just grind time attacks since they’re easier and never really scale
I'm baffled by the lack of a restart, even The Crew Motorfest allows you to restart AI races and that game is also always-online
The AI in general is horrible too, they break either too early or too late, sometimes they respect that your beside them, sometimes they dont. It makes it frustrating to race.
Man, yeah, completely agree with you on all the points.
This game deserves way more hate because this is ridiculous how bad this game is
I didn't know that this game had so many limitations that I don't even know can exist, like the game being online only will mean that you cannot restart a race or cannot pick difficulty of the AI.
The grinding dynamics are straight out of a mobile game lol.
Forza Horizon has it's own issues, but they're very different
the offroad handling only as weird as you described it when you dont have offroad tires equipped, if you have them its fine
That is one of the shadows under the car of all time
At least they did tail lights better than FH5
This was a small comment that ig turned into a rant... apologies ppl😅😅
On the topic of offroad races, I found it weird... nick pointed it out very well... for the most part I feel like i had to use the handbrake for every turn and powerslide the entire way which worked great until the ai just ram into you and push you off course (again this is mostly because im shit at the game and the physics might play a role) and the ai difficulty is also very unpredictable in my experience... some race just feel impossible even when im at the top of the class and custom tune everything to make things work, the ai just walk past like im standing still.
The steering wheel rotation should be THE very first thing that's fixed by the devs
13 years of development for this?
The only thing I hate is that it’s online cause I wanna cruise alone
