  • Today we whipped out the Stihl FS-460 and went and cleared up these invasive blackberries in this family's yard! The blackberries sprung up and before the owners had an opportunity to start cutting them they just went wild! They grew right on the edge of the wall and started growing over the trailer and pallets of material.
Thankfully the owner reached out at the perfect time and we came in and quickly cleared it up which cleared her mind of all the worries! Now they can maintain the area and keep it looking nice.

Few people, those who don't live in an area with blackberries, understand just how overwhelming and quick growing they are! Nice work getting these! ❤

That’s right, only those who experience them can fully appreciate the results. 😁👍

Thaniks for sharing this video! What a lot of effort you put in for the homeowner! What a feeling of accomplishment to finish the task at hand! You have fultilled your responsibility thoroughly and effectively. Accept no criticism from others who only "know" what they see. You are workihng for the homeowner. What happens next is not your concern. George

You did a great job getting rid of the blackberries !!!!! I always just shake my head when people comment with negative responses. I would like to rate their gardens and work and see how they like it. So many people don’t understand the amount of work that goes into lawns and gardening. Merry Christmas to you and yours 🎄🎄🎄

Nice work, but this problem can only be solved at the roots...

It's possible to keep them down until they disappear.
I work for farmers and when we build a new pasture there often are gardens around and the blackberries have spread on the unused land. We have learned that we can cut them down like he does and then release bulls into the pasture and then the black berries will be gone after 2 years. It doesn't work with cows (the udder I suppose).
This man says it works well with just one cutting but in my experience it comes back. He might answer you about his views. He likes to interact with his fans.

You can also type in the description what the property owners asked you to do. How much they wated, etc. Because I know what it is like having blackberry debris on the ground.

Kinda curious. How long do those Oregon mulching blades last with the work you do?

I actually no longer use the Oregon mulching blades as my main blade for mulching. The Oregon blades have very little life in them and I could only get about 1-2 projects out of them. They are made of very hard steel but once the tooth is bent it’s nearly impossible to put back without wasting lots of time.
