I have a 2019 4 Runner and the power lift gate is not optional according to the dealer I purchased from back in 2019. Its an after market upgrade not offered at the dealer.
Although on the 2020 model it has all those safety jazz things that come with the more recent Toyotas, as well as android auto and carplay. So maybe you can get your hands on a 2020 model if you can!
I love my 04 Runner and the rear window roll down but can't stand that you can't roll it up (thank you lawyers) but appears you can at least via the key roll it up. Nice!! 5:11 that's ok I really don't want all those features to be honest. More to go wrong and just don't care for them.

I bought this car, i have 2 kids in car seats and it is perfect. So spacious and i love how it drives. Only bad thing is that is not the best in mpg.
I have one of these and it is a great truck, both on road, towing and off road. Good purchase.

I use the rear window to load groceries and never thought it was high. Then again, I'm 6'2.
Price at $36k, but in WA state, I asked for $40k out the door, but no dealer wanted to sell at that price
