Well Mario is 24-25 and Luigi is 22 (according to the creator of Super Mario). So Luigi should have went before Mario. But maybe Luigi is older than Mario in the CMB universe. Edit: I know this comment if before the Mario movie but Mario stated that Luigi is younger than him. Mario says in the beginning "have you seen my *younger* and skinner brother?"
