Also, to everyone blaming Natsumi for her fate and calling her "the creepy girl", STOP! Victim blaming is not cool! did any of you even bother to think that maybe, just maybe the reason she is so pushy and clingy is because she likely went through rejection as a child and did not want to go through it and lose a friend again? And, since she is obviously socially awkward, she was having trouble communicating that fact so she showed it instead by being pushy and clingy hoping Suzuka would get the hint, but she didn't. And, about her death, I feel like when she came back as a zombie/ghost, she came back for revenge, not just to teach Suzuka a lesson because she came back and was being pushy and clingy on purpose and ended up pulling Suzuka over the rail with her since she couldn't have her as a friend while alive, she could have her as a friend if they were both dead.
The place of death for both of them, I think, is cursed in a way, like Ju:On/The Grudge, but without anyone coming back as onryo- vengeful ghosts, but coming back to life as normal living humans secretly being zombies/ghosts so nothing is suspected. That would explain Natsumi coming back to life as if nothing happened and not only taught Suzuka a lesson, but got revenge on her too.
