- Hey guys. Been listening to this song and album. This is from the album "Harlequin Dream" that just came out. Give this song a spin....I'm sure you will like it..
Bio: Boy & Bear are an Australian indie rock-folk music band which was formed in 2009. Initially a solo project, with Dave Hosking on vocals and guitar, he was joined by Killian Gavin, also on vocals and guitar. The pair expanded their line-up with Jake Tarasenko on bass guitar and vocals and Tim Hart on drums and vocals. When Hart's brother, Jon, joined on banjo, mandolin and keyboards, the quintet's line-up was complete.
In November 2009, the band described its style as "a combination of drivey indie folk and choral harmonies".[1] Their debut album Moonfire was released on 5 August 2011 and reached No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Its lead single, "Feeding Line", appeared in the Top 50 on the ARIA Singles Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2011 Boy & Bear won five awards: Breakthrough Artist -- Single for "Feeding Line"; and Album of the Year, Best Group, Breakthrough Artist -- Album and Best Adult Alternative Release for Moonfire.
On 16 August 2013, they released their second album, Harlequin Dream, which reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in its debut week. Its release was preceded by the lead single "Southern Sun".

I don't understand why the entire world hasn't heard this song yet. Heard it a month ago; Spotify recommended it to me, and I have never been more grateful. I love the album art, the style of the song, the voice. That guitar though. Jeez, it's great.
Got my recommendation from Spotify just this year for this song...go Spotify, keeping it real after years! ~
In all you'll see
What was it that came down on me that night
A conjuring, I held on to that moment
And lie just to make it alive
I stood out there in the covering
In the baskings of a holy night
And I was lucid and conscious
And hovering like a firefly
My mind stretched out on the canopy
It put its arms out slow
And I heard the whispers of silence floating down from the radio
So come on, come on I'm ready now
I got the feeling honey like I'm ready to roll
You see I'm not gonna wait till the end of me
'Cause I got the burning fire in bed of my soul
I saw the light from a kettle gun
Sixteen days under a Southern Sun
And there were times when I thought that
I wouldn't mind it if I lost my mind out there
You wouldn't believe me if I told you so
The things I saw were enough to make the man in me
A man in me, make a man of me
So come on, come on I'm ready now
Go get your things out honey, let's get ready to roll
Oh I can feel the wave coming over me
I've been waiting for this day too long just to let it all go
As a child I was wonder-eyed at the thought that I might know
A life in the ecstasy of Rock'n Roll
O-oh-oh i'm not taking it slow
I'm an arrow in a bow
You think that I don't know, what it is that makes me glow
So come on, come on I'm ready now
I got the feeling honey like I'm ready to roll
You see I'm not gonna wait till the end of me
'Cause I got the burning fire in the bed of my soul
Thanks, mate. 🍻
Tory Kluender of course! ✌🏻✌🏻
I may have posted a comment earlier, IDK, but in any event, I have lived through 67 years of music - Zepplin, the WHO, Floyd, you name it... this is one of the most gorgeous songs that my ears have ever had the opportunity to hear. Absolutely magnificent.
I just keep listening to this song over and over again on repeat. It's just amazing
This song is so great. Love listening to it on the road. Thanks!

When I moved to Nanaimo this summer I was in the car driving to my new house and this song came on the radio and when ever I hear it I'm reminded of the my adventure to a new life.
N3fari0us Nice
Same here this is one of the first songs I heard when I left my hometown after highschool!
Only coming to check this out because Florence Pugh said it was the song that welcomes people to her life…
I made a great decision 🥹 thank you Florence 🙌🏼
I found this song on spotify because I was looking for another song called Southern Sun under a completely different genre, and this blew me away :)
Most listeners are not old enough to remember Al Stewart. This song channels his work. I love it
Great mid 70s beat amazing lyrics very moving it comes from the ❤ soul great work fellas 🎙🎙🎸🎸
Really underrated song IMO. Needs more love.
Song really brings me back to reality making me thing of my hard times in life my good ones too but makes me very heart warmed when I listen to this

I'm here cause Florence Pugh talks about this song all the time and now it's one of my favorite songs
This is a good song to die to. Imagine at the end of the movie the hero after fighting and defeating the villain he’s on the ground on his back bleeding out starring at the sky smiling knowing the ones he was protecting safely got away 00:01 and as the guitar picks up the screen fades to black. (00:31)
🤔🤔
Nah it actually doesn’t fit that much into that situation
Looks like we've got the next big movie director right here!
I never knew just how recently this album was released. In my 39 years on this planet, I remember thinking, "How did I miss this one while listening to classic rock stations?" I'm not joking! This song legitimately sounds like something that would have been recorded in possibly the early 1980's. Maybe it's the pedal steel guitar. Such a great track though!
I know what you mean. Couple of years ago, I came across one of those 'alternative' stations on AM radio. I began listening to it, because ~ nothing against classic rock ~ but I got my fill of that stuff first time around in the 70s. When this tune came up in the rotation however, I was wondering why it had taken the Muse so long to drop this song onto someone. Instant classic to my ears. Thoroughly enjoyable.
This is sounds like a 1970s hard rock song. It is like a Atlanta Rhythm Section song. it is a nice song too.
I love the full album. I went on a boat cruise in New Zealand on the boat and I had to ask the captain, what’s the title of the album and the next minute, I got. That was 2013 and it’s still my favourite 👍👍
Love this song. Great mellow sound
I love it too! It sounds like a something that should have come from the early 1980's.

This tune kicks more ass than most of the world will ever realise. How utterly unfortunate.
Jake Bugg approves of this song😉.
thanks flo
Vocals kind of remind me of Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, great song
The music reminds me of Fleetwood Mac!
How is it that awesome songs like this are somewhat obscure yet justin bieber and lady Gaga are getting all of the attention?
Puta que amo esta canción por la reconcha de la madre
This song reminds me of the "Imaginary Lover is by Atlantic Rhythem Section. Can anybody name a southern hard rock group like the Atlantic Rhythm Section would write this song other than the Boy & Bear?
