We need experience leaders like Honorable Halifa. His intellectual capabilities is on another level. Dr. Ceesay also made important points. Gambians please vote wisely. We need a present with a vision to develop this country.

Am proud as a Gambian today, seeing the display of these gentle men. Thanks for starting us off. I think we Gambian should give Hon. Sillah a chance, he has demonstrated that, he cares and have yested time in what he loves and he is ready to take the mother land to the second phase. He is right that, the coliation was a success one, that's y we are even here listening in the first. Let's use our senses and stop voting base on our tribes. We get to stop thives and criminals running our country

A second leg is highly recommended. They were both on top of their game. Great debate. We need like this from other aspiring politicians. Let them come and face to face.

Although i am a UDP sympathisant, I wanted to listen carefully to the debate and analyse it in form and content. It was a very good exercise. Televised Political debate is an indispensable in western countries so it's good to see that Gambia is moving toward modernity and launching such exercises and i hope more parties would be involved in the coming sessions. When it comes to the debate, one has to admit that Halifa Sallah was more confident. Perhaps Dr Ceesay did not prepare well/enough (ie. at the beginning of his debate he lost 5 crucial mn thanking Halifa Sallah and coalition parties). He did state that no one would be vainquished following this confrontation but if i had to designate the person who marked more points, i would name Halifa Sallah. You can clearly see that he has been in the political field for quite some time. I guess that's what made a difference when it comes to the quality of their argumentation. Even if one doesn't share his ideas, we have to admit that he managed to give answers on all the topics that were adressed. Finally, i believe journalists should refrain from applauding, they have to remain impartial regardless of their political affiliations or ideas and one can notice that most of Halifa Sallah speeches were followed by applauds. Moreover, i could be onteresting to select a panel of citizen that would ask questions based on their person situations/obstables....

Halifa is more capable. Doc Ceesay dont have any experience in Public Office. GAMBIANS Must STOP THE DENIAL and give Halifa a Chance.

Dr Ceesay is being very unreasonable. The coalition have done their best in the circumstances. Jammeh was a dictator, the goal was simple, get him out. They did that very successfully. Barrow failed us with the 3 year agreement. Halifa and co are Gambian heroes; this is a fact we all must accept regardless of who you support.
