- My buddy Remington bought this sled in the summertime for a song but found out afterwards the reason why lol. she was rode hard and put away wet 🤣 let's just say instead of doing regular maintenance to this sled the previous owner decided to just carry on with his life and ride the crap outta this thing instead lmao 🤣. we manage to get her all tuned up and ready to rock this season for him! thanks to @UltimaxBelts for the new belt for this rig! she's gunna Dangle for sure now! thanks for all the support and checking out our website www.rednecks-dirtyhands.com I hope yas enjoy the video! cheers 🍻
Great video as always. My vote is for no timelapse. I can speed it up if I want to skip something. I follow you for the education on how to do the work you are performing, but most importantly for the great entertainment.
Awesome, thank you!🍻
Thank you very much. I learned a lot from this video and like the other comments I also like no time lapse. Keep it up buddy!!
Agree with this. Thank you. Enjoy your videos.
I agree with this post.. I learned a lot from your videos 👌 keep up the good work teaching us how to service our toys
Thanks for the "No Time Lapse" video!!! The previous owner should be banned from owning another sled...that was just either pure laziness or too broke to do maintenance
Excellent episode Pete, thanks for the visibility and support! See you soon
Thank you! I appreciate all the support from you guys at Ultimax and I truly belive they are the best belts out there!! I'll do what I can to get all the sled heads takin there sleds to the Max!! with Ultimax 😉🍻
Pete your channel is way better than 21k subscribers. Keep the content coming (don’t change anything) and subscriptions will follow.
I appreciate that! thank you 🍻
Was this a sight unseen purchase?! My goodness. 😂😂
Enjoyed the longer vid Pete! Nice one 🍻🍻
I don't own a Polaris, but sure enjoyed learning what it takes to fix one. That was a lot of maintenance for a 2020! Wow!
Well it did have over 5000 miles on it.
think about it that over 2000 miles in a season. never my life I ever drive over 2000 miles in one winter I be lucky I drive 1000 miles in one season.
I just wanted to say. I worked on Volvos and these are way more redundant. I'm glad I was recommended to this channel.
Love these longer videos, and now when riding season is upon us, (we got around 35cm of snow) im looking forward to long snowmobile videos from you😊 as always, thank you for what you are doing, presenting us with these fun, informative and interesting videos. Cheers from Sweden 🇸🇪
Thanks for the awesome video! My vote is also for no time lapse. You show us more info/knowledge by accident than most people will ever know!
thank you! I really appreciate that 🍻
I don't know, 5000+ miles without a lick of maintenance will cause any sled to have issues, and to be honest that one isn't all that bad considering. People dig on polaris a lot but in the last 5-6 years (since the axys) I think things have improved considerably.
yeah over all the sled isn't in that bad of shape and it was all do to lack of maintenance from the previous owner! she's good to go for another season now 🍻
Man Bud, you know your stuff when it comes to sleds. Respect.
thanks! 🍻
Wow 😳 you weren't kidding ! , those Newer Sled's, ain't No Picnic To Work on are they 🤔 ! ,
It leaves a lot to be desired for the Older sled's 😂👍 !
Excellent video, I love the step by step process of snowmobile maintenance and what to look for in possible problems
I also have an 850 Polaris without electric start and when it is cold it’s like when I was a little kid trying to start a single banger without a decompression value, I have put a foot on the running board, grab the handle with both hands, take a deep breath and give it all I have.
Now try an 850 race sled with 15:1 compression head lol
Love how thorough you are and willing to dig in on things. Make it look easy, bud!
I appreciate that! cheers 🍻
Good video. Like the longer ones...that's what she said.
Jeeze that sled has seen zero maintenance. Nice video Pete!
thanks! 🍻
I love the longer videos with the how to stuff. Very informative.
Love the step by step on how to do these things. Great work Pete, RNDH 4 LIFE..
Hey Pete, good content. Your Yamaha apex track change video saved me more headache than you can imagine. Glad to see you still make videos!
that's awesome to hear! glad it was helpful, cheers 🍻
Everything your doing is what I did every year to mine and my sons sled. 10,000kms a winter it's a must.
never worry about the length of the video, the longer, the better "yaya, that's what she said"..lol. Viewers can always fast forward or increase the playback speed. Nicely done sir. great video.
Hell yea she's ready now! Not sure about previous owner but long as Remington take care of her she's good! Great stuff Pete and Billy thanks for sharing!
thanks! 🍻
I learn something new everytime I tune in
Yep, I'll take any longer/interesting video any day. This was extremely informative. Looks like this Polaris is ready for a few more years of Fun in the Snow.
thank you! 🍻
I really appreciate that Pete breaks down the sleds and talks through the process while going along w repairs
As always I learn so much from your videos keep those snowmobile videos coming
“ beat harder than Toobin on a zoom call“
Best one liner ever
🤣🤣🤣 I was wonderin if anybody would pickup on that one! 🤪🤣🍻
Hyfax was a trade name like Crescent Wrench. I believe it went through several ownership changes during the snowmobile industry bust in the late 70s or early 80s and eventually use was discontinued due to a trademark dispute.
Cool bit of info thanks for sharing
well there ya go...learn something new everyday! Nice One! thanks and cheers 🍻
Awesome video bro just found your channel been bringing over Christmas break.. I'm from Maine living in Hawaii so not much snow here but I love watching yall ridding like I used to!!! Keep on dangling brother!!
that's awesome! thank you and cheers 🍻
Longer videos are great... really enjoy watching the channel, thanks for all the great content.......Nice One!
Awesome, thank you! 🍻
People often overlook dirve axle and jackshaft bearings, I had a drive axle bearing let go on the lake one time and had to walk home. Luckily I was only about 1/4 mile from the road. I used the crazy carpet under the track trick to tow it off.
Great video for us Polaris snowmobile fans who currently don't have one because it was stolen last year. 😢
Excellent video, I love doing the preseason maintenance. Just found a broken exhaust valve cable on my dads Pro RMK, replaced it and cleaned the clutches now good to go.
Nice work! 🍻
Love the longer videos man keep up the gd work
thank you! Glad you like them! 🍻
Another fine example of excellence in owner maintenance. Spanker couldn't even bother to change spark plugs.
Love the longer videos, Pete. Just say no to time lapses.
Thanks 👍🍻
I really enjoyed the step by step. You definitely keep it entertaining the entire time. I didn't realize I was watching that long until you mentioned it in the video. lol
Impressive channel. Even if you are a polaris fan. No one has ever done a video like this ever. Make everything look easy.
Keep making the vids Pete. Longer the better. It's enjoyable watching you work on snowmobiles and keeping them in good running condition. I've been a snowmobile rider for 40 years. Never gets old. Thanks for the content.
Thanks alot helps me on what look out for and know what ill need when i find myself a Indy 136 xcr
STILL LIKE MY POLARIS 650 RXL CHIPPED, 3 HUGE PIPES,EFI....GREAT JOB THANKQ FOR HELPING.
Nice One! cheers 🍻
Hell of a mechanic Pete!!!!
thank you! 🍻
Great job very informative !! You are quite the mechanic man !! Great video keep um coming!!!
thank you! I really appreciate it! cheers 🍻
GREAT CONTENT PER USUAL!!!
Hope he gets the shocks rebuilt after all the other issues that came up. Makes a world of difference in handling
I agree, best thing is to rebuild them in the spring, then you have good oil in them while it is sitting.
Man that thing held up quite well for the miles and NEvER being serviced, that's all on the owner, loose track was from the destroyed bearing.
absolutely! 🍻
Great content! Thank you for an in depth show of all things to service on a snowmobile! I hope you friend will get many reliable kilometers on that! 👍
thank you! 🍻
This guy is way too happy 😅
Love it!
Great video
Awesome video 👍. It's never too early for a beer 🍻
Thanks for the videos, your doing a great job. Now being disabled I’m no longer able to ride, so I live vicariously through you Pete. I’m in the USA. I come from the land of beer and cheese. Keeper up eh!
thank you! cheers...I like beer and cheese too! 🤣🍻
Pete! The man, the legend! Your videos are always top notch! Keep them coming brother! I need to get one of your hoodies!
haha thanks buddy! I've got a hoodie here with your name on it!! you can pick it up and have a cold one or two the next time you head up this way! maybey we can even shoot a video together or get one of my old sleds goin and send her home with ya! 😉 keep up the great work brother! 🍻
Awesome video Pete… cheers 🍻
There is something satisfying about watching a master work their craft. A lot of these youtube fellas like to be bashful and be all "oh, ya know, just a small time garage here." That may be true but damn, the knowledge is incredible.
Well done, Pete. Love how you explain stuff as well.
Great vid, as always
I liked the fact you showed everything. It was a good hr watch.
You need to go with your friends when they buy stuff lol great video LABATTS and market place probably 😄
haha yessir! 🤣🍻
Love it dude that sled never in my opion every had anything done !!!! Great one yeeehaaa !
Nice vid Pete! Anyone else impressed with the durability of that poo? I really thought you would need a new motor, clutch, shocks, LOL. Nice one
Thank you for this video. Same sled here and now I know how these jobs are done.
Glad to help! 🍻
I like the longer videos, don’t know a lot about those machines but like to learn. Great videos thank you.
Glad you like them! cheers 🍻
Love this episode brother, thanks for sharing!
Another great video! I didn’t see that JR 5.5 in the fridge though! Maybe next time? 🍻 cheers Pete
haha thanks! I'm sure some will find it's way into the fridge at some point! 🤣🍻
Thanks Pete the boys and I missed your sled content let it snow !
cheers! 🍻
Personally, I like the in-depth way you are showing how to do some jobs. Even if some folks like me don't have all the tools ( I have most of em), like a press or pullers. Thanks for the great job on the video, and keep up the good work.
Love the longer videos.
Really accomplish something.
Thanks Pete!
This one was perfect. Nice one as always Pete! Cheers, and remember...you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning lol!
Nice one! 🤣 Uncle Steve'y has that sign hanging on the wall of his shop lmao 🍻
Great video. Love the extra time and detail.
I have a 2020 xc850 137 i knew exactly what you were going to find😂😂😂That thing was absolutely abused! I have 5200 miles on mine and its immaculate... every year pull seal on jackshaft bearings and track drive bearing's pull skid every year keep that chaincase clean and there Good to go!! Im glad i watched your video for kicks, and remembered i needed those spark plug boots before this season!! Thanks have a great season 👍👍
cheers! 🍻
@@rednecksdirtyhandsI hope you put dealer spark plugs in because I just figured out that I had counterfeit NGKs in there I think that's what burned up my boots....
Best part of the video “reverse dangle” 😂
🤣🍻
I work 12 hour shifts so can you please extend the videos to 2.5 hours. Thanks much! ❤. Doing a great job and love the clutch rebuilding! Eazy peezy!
haha I'll see what I can do! 🤣🍻
Good to go for the winter trails now 👍🏻
Great video brother, ya'll are helping me out, hopefully I'll be able to fix my own polaris trail touring 550 2up 07" ! Thanks again, peace Turtle
Good to see the sleds again
Loved the longer video. Keep the content like this coming. I always seem to learn some new tips and tricks from you. Can’t wait for this season to start!!
Awesome, thank you! 🍻
Another great and informative video Pete, keep them coming! Nice one!🍻
Never owned any Polaris stuff but know a lot of people that have and do own and everyone of them have some form of issues you cant slack on the maintenance for them it quickly bites you on them , haha my brother just bought a 850 Sportsman cheap what aload of crap he got exactly what he paid for and i told him that before he got it , Great video Pete
Great step by step video, especially on one of the newer style sleds!! Keep up the great work!
What a project that was . Can’t wait to see how She dangles 😎👍🍺🇺🇸🇨🇦
thanks! 🍻
I think I would have done the top end. 8000km is about the time a 2 stroke needs at least rings before a complete meltdown.
lol. I know of many 800 cats with well over 15,000 MILES not km that have never had a head off. but yes the poo should see a complete rebuild.
Great video. I find your the very best on u tube . Very informative!
Wow, thank you! I really appreciate that!! cheers 🍻
I’m a sausage maker by trade. Just learning about mechanical on my 3 1996 Polaris snowmobiles. Dam my back is sore as I am 58. Lol.
My old man has been around ATV (CTV's) for 40 years. He absolutely HATES Polaris. And I've seen my fair share of Polaris owners having their problems. Honda's all the way for us.
cheers! 🍻
Pete greetings from down in ND your videos are amazing thanks for posting them
thank you! cheers ND 🍻
Good to see you Pete nice video very interesting 👍
Thanks 👍🍻
Perfect video! I just purchased a 2020 xcr 850 as well. Had to watch. As you said a bit involved but not complicated really. We have 3 axys chassis sleds so this is a great general workover for all 3. I had both my boys watch so we know what we're doing. Thanks!
thank you! that's awesome to hear 🍻
We got all 3 sleds in the shop right now watching this vid! Nice one!
Should do a video of rebuilding a late 90s Ski-doo primary clutch!!!
I was hollering at you the whole time and for some reason i knew you were going to do it before you did it 😂😂😂
What to do and how to do, when you own a Polaris. Everything! I'm going to have a busy summer😂🤘
🤣🍻
Sleds are way too much maintenance. There is something always failing. Pete your a trooper thanks for the video cheers 🍺
haha thank you! 🍻
Awesome job Pete!!!
Thank you! Cheers!🍻
so five years ago roughly i bought the nicest sled i ever bought , it was a skidoo mach z and i stacked blocks and ran it , the blocks fell while the track was spinning it spit the track out of the back and fucked everything up lol
Sledarama was pretty good this year, was able to grab a good seat and some stickers. I tell ya that Braaptor is something else in the flesh🤙
Very good video, glad you took the time to show everything you did with explanation of what's wrong the size of tools needed. You made it look easy, I'd bring my sled to you any day to be worked on! Subscribed!!
thank you! I really appreciate that!! cheers 🍻
Another great video Pete!! Wish I lived closer so you could do the maintenance on my sled.. although I don’t see many doo’s in your shop 😂😂. My the channel.. Cheers from Yooper 22
Learning a lot from your videos, thanks!
Holy shit those valves were dirty. I’m planning a trip to Quebec and Ontario this season hopefully I can run into you guys on the trail. I’ll definitely look yas up.
Keep on wrenching brother. Great job guys
Definitely keep doing the longer videos like this! I love watching them, especially when there is a Yamaha involved. Possibly an Apex in my future.
thank you! 🍻
Great video Pete! Keep up the great videos and work buddy!
thank you! 🍻
love the longer videos man !
Glad you like them! 🍻
Polaris is the leader in recalls and stop-rides. Nice looking sleds but no thanks. I'll stay with Cat
Love your videos Pete
Great video buddy thanks you didn't do time lapse on this one I learned a lot about it I got to do my sled now
the long video is great. was def helpful!!!
Glad it was helpful! 🍻
