Yeah I don't think Stallone brings any ownership provenance to the grand chime since you can't even say he wore it. It was simply an investment portfolio watch. Might as well remove the nameplate on the box. Maybe the fact its still in the seal balances out the value.
Can you leave it in the seal? At what point does it need a service? You never wear it, so the movement doesn't have any wear, but the oil in it must gunk up with the passing of years. Or am I wrong and it can go untouched for 20+ years?
Many things will. I like muscle cars as well, boomers grew up with them & now some can afford one driving up the price. In 20 yrs a hundred thousand dollars car won't be worth anywhere near that.
No he has a huge collection and said how after he's had them for awhile ect and enjoyed them he likes to give others the opportunity to enjoy them as well.
Sly is a pure genius! This proves it. He was smart to never have worn it. He made bank off this watch. Sly understands that his life is neither better or worse by wearing a watch that has less PRACTICAL value than any other quartz watch selling for $300. The buyer can do the same exact thing and sell it later for $7 million. Beautiful watch and case. It will only go up in value!
Just started in the hobby,I understand what makes watches valuable but some of these aren't as nice to look at or keep any better time than any of what I own.
One day I'm gonna sell my watches....and their value will be determined by who I'am, and not the watch brand. My Timex may bid up to a hundred thousand US dollars, but folks gonna be lining up to grab a piece I wore.

Aaaa, I can understand why people would be bothered about that particular watch. Like the clip says, Patek sells only a few of this every year and they're very picky towards who they sell too. If he only had it for 2 years, he never enjoyed the watch and then made a nice profit of 2 millions on it😊, I can maybe understand why people that like watches and never could afford such a watch, or even If you had millions, never would have been given the chance to buy the watch from Patek might feel a certain way about him selling it.
