very close mate but the siren is a Federal Signal Unitrol Omega 90. the one in the walking dead is missing the ''telephone ringtone'' & the ''casino jackpot' sound
Shane was iconic in the walking dead he came off as an enemy in the end but damn he was one of the best characters I'd go as far as saying he's up there with daryl as best actor to be on the show
His tv version was a whole lot better than the comic book. In the comic, he was a coward that didn’t cover Rick during the shootout and that’s what got him shot. It also shows he alway lusted after Lori and was all too happy to use the apocalypse as an excuse to get with her. And he had no real plan beyond waiting out in the woods for the national guard to come, even when all evidence shows that no help was coming.
I’m rewatching it now and damn Shane is the best character. I forgot how much he poured into his role and the fact that he was only in 2 seasons just makes me appreciate his character even more. What a champion 🔥
Something to appreciate here is that this was the last point in history where people died and did not reanimate. The virus must had occurred shortly sometime after this and it would have to spread extremely fast.
Rewatching the series right now, midway through Season 3. Unlike most people I love S2 and the time spent on the farm; learning, arguing, deciding what the new moral paradigm must be. The devolution of Rick and Shane's friendship in S1 and 2 is fantastic storytelling. Shane did this, not Rick.
It’s hilarious how they all come out, one at a time, perfectly sequenced. How polite to wait for the first bad guy to get shot before the next one makes his debut.
I really want Lambert To come back to the series he’s one of the longest characters to have an unknown dead/alive status maybe he’s with the common wealth or maybe he’s at the place where the scavengers send people like where rick and Jadis are going to or maybe he’s dead but I want him to come back just like morales did
@Tennessee rebel outlaw I'd say it really began to fall down mid season 7 altough I still kept watching and I can gladly say that from Season 10 moving onward it got way better again. Season 11 is simply amazing and to me personaly the second best season ever made just barely being overtaken by season 2 (personal opinion)
It would be cool to see lambert (one of the cops) to come back. We never saw him die which means he could still be alive but he probably won’t come back because he didn’t have any character development and if he came back no one would probably know who he is
Having little glimpses of this life before everything went down would've been sooo cool dude. Like lucid dreams that Rick, or hell even Carl, Lori or any of the original gang had at the start of some episodes would've just added so much devastation to seeing how far they'd come since. And where they are 'now'. The Walking Dead definitely had some of that perspective with this scene, but the further it went out, the more it forgot it in a way that reaaallly didn't help it writing wise.
Man, I wish there was an alternate reality of TWD where Shane and Lori never hook up/Shane never betrays Rick/turns on him. I wish we could've had this Shane and Rick for a majority of the show. Imagine how crazy it would be then if instead of Glenn, it was Shane getting killed in the lineup and he was Rick's main right hand man throughout the show, with Darly being a close third.

This is one of the highlights of the series, unfortunately such good scenes are only in the first season of the series, the same can no longer be said for the others. Especially from season 6.
Season 6 was the best season right next to the 2nd best season, s5. Season 1 was amazing but its not even a top 5 season of the show, mainly because there isn't any big plot points other than Rick reuniting with his family, meeting Morgan jones and seeing the end of the CDC. S2-6 had some of the best story telling and drama ever on TV.

But at the end of the day its always safety first, Suspects with weapons will be met with deadly force if they do not immediately comply with instructions. I’ve never really looked back on this scene with the context of the later shows. Rick gets shot in the vest because he gives the guy a warning first, then he gets it in the meat for taking his eyes off the threat to manage people’s feelings.
He was checking if a round was in the chamber. Additionally all the glocks I’ve ever shot have a dual trigger safety. You have to pull the first in order to fire the main second one which fires the bullet.

I know people already suggested it, but if this was a cop show and not a zombie show, the first season could be about how getting shot changes Rick's view of the world, and the show could touch on themes like PTSD, survivor's guilt, thus changing the meaning of "The Walking Dead".

"Make sure to have a round in the chamber and your safety off"
Thanks Rick for reminding a police officer that you need ammo to fire a gun.
Ironically enough he apparently apparently needed the reminder, he had the “safety” on. Even if it’s a Glock that doesn’t have one, his magically did, and it was on apparently.
@@Lolpy. This is just the power this specific police department can hold. They can even engage a safety on a bow.
@@lorddogbert2151 False. Zero glocks are manufactured with a safety.
If this doesn't establish in your mind that Leon is a bit dimwitted before rick says it later on, then him becoming a walker would.
@@lorddogbert2151 You can manually add a safety to one after it is bought but absolutely zero glocks are manufactured with a manual safety already on it.
the shot at 3:10 is amazing, the sound of the gun and the slowed cinematic just shows the mighty punch the gun delivered back to the officers.
That reminded me of breaking bad s5 e13 when hank and gomez get in a shootout
I like how the shoot out is quite realistic, like there are more shots than the actual times someone got hit

very close mate but the siren is a Federal Signal Unitrol Omega 90. the one in the walking dead is missing the ''telephone ringtone'' & the ''casino jackpot' sound
@@l0kaltpsykf4ll34 No its a Unitrol 480K Omega 90's have a lower pitch

I really want Lambert To come back to the series he’s one of the longest characters to have an unknown dead/alive status maybe he’s with the common wealth or maybe he’s at the place where the scavengers send people like where rick and Jadis are going to or maybe he’s dead but I want him to come back just like morales did
Apparently this is the same day Nick woke up in the church, crazy to think about
actual? i thought rick was already in a coma hooked up to life support by then for at least a week or two

Ah, yes. Back then when the walking dead was worthy of watching.
Bruh this show had its ups and downs some slow bad episodes but then it would get good again. The show is greaf
It would be cool to see lambert (one of the cops) to come back. We never saw him die which means he could still be alive but he probably won’t come back because he didn’t have any character development and if he came back no one would probably know who he is

Man, I miss them 🥲
Having little glimpses of this life before everything went down would've been sooo cool dude.

I cried when that beautiful Judge crashed.
Here's the good news. That GTO is a replica of the real model. They didn't wreck an actual 71 GTO thankfully
@Vegas I just realized what I said. Yeah it's no good news. RIP the best TWD character, 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge
I remember reading a theory that those guys were actually trying their damndest to get away from a walker since the wildfire episode puts the first canon appearance of the walkers before rick gets into the hospital
Get away from a walker? In a car? While 3 people have fully loaded firearms? Are the walkers dressed as police officers and driving after them? xd
@@user-bt8xr5si9y the theory was these guys stole the car. i mean if you watched someone eat someones face off i bet you’d be to preoccupied with getting away

I think if they were exposed to a walker previously, they would've reanimated after they were shot and killed by the cops. The virus spreads by air and was very infectious.
Lol look at all those bullets that missed
Yeah, bullets miss in real life gunfights. Turns out it's hard for humans to focus purely on placing shots accurately when there's someone actively trying to kill them. It's called a "high stress situation" for a reason

@@julienfranco7179 Because you're against untrained incompetent insurgents who don't know the basic principles of firing weapons. This scene was actually shot on the road I live on and the scene where they were eating the burgers was in my town
In real life they would send a team to go check out the car and make sure nobody else is in there.
Yes
and later on, Rick has to off Leon when he finds he has turned zombie...and in a later episode, Rick has to off Shane when Shane tries to kill him
the officer helping with the bleeding standing over top of him I recognize him and then it just hit me he was in the movie called The accountant. this guy is a really good actor.
question, why the fuck does Rick even have a python?

Deputy Dandy i think sheriffs deputies switch out their standard issue. I've seen it in real life before.
Siberian Snorp he is the County Sheriff, he does not need to use standard issued
He isn't the sheriff, he's just a sheriff's deputy like the rest of the officers. And some departments allow officers to use other weapons that aren't standard issue. I've seen cops use 1911s before
One of my absolute favorite shows, and it exemplifies an always tense situation for law enforcement. But at the end of the day its always safety first, Suspects with weapons will be met with deadly force if they do not immediately comply with instructions. "Put it down" or "Put the gun down" is not a request, it's an order, and people disobey this at their own peril.
It sounds like an issue

Frank Darabont had his hands on this original Season of WD.
After he left it all went downhill.
1:25 did they just make it so that the slide release on the glock is a safety LMAO
He was checking if a round was in the chamber. Additionally all the glocks I’ve ever shot have a dual trigger safety. You have to pull the first in order to fire the main second one which fires the bullet.
@@rjwentz8090 no he racked the slide, (without locking it back) and then pressed the slide release down as if it were to do something, and yes it’s called the safe action system. Therefore yes, he did try to do some odd action with the slide release that was not checking if there was one in the chamber.
When he’s setting up it just shows how much experience Rick and Shane had before the apocalypse even started.
I know people already suggested it, but if this was a cop show and not a zombie show, the first season could be about how getting shot changes Rick's view of the world, and the show could touch on themes like PTSD, survivor's guilt, thus changing the meaning of "The Walking Dead".
