I met “Mr. Tim” some years after this at an appearance in an indie VHS rental store in Providence, R.I. It was my birthday, and I paid whatever it was that it cost for an autographed publicity still, which I later framed. Tiny was most gracious and really perked up when I told him it was my birthday. But I don’t remember the orange hair tint.
How I loved Joe Franklin! The man knew everyone, and he had the most-interesting guests on his show. There was a warmness and closeness in the rapport Joe had with the people in show business, that made you feel like you knew them personally - as if everyone was just sitting around your living room, chatting.
Loving the uploads so far! Looking forward to more Joe Franklin Show episodes. Would you happen to know if any of the following celebrities were guests? If so, could you please upload interviews if you have them. Thanks!: Minnesota Fats Willie Mosconi (any pocket billiards legends in general) Bobby Short Christopher Lee Peter Cushing Bruno Sammartino Classy Freddie Blassie Les Paul Dizzy Gillespie Charles Schulz Gene Rayburn Chuck Barris

RIP fellow New Yorker Tiny Tim.
Tiny was never big on making sure his uke was in tune. Oh well.
“And now I’d like to sing a medley of my hit.” Funny.
Lol!
Wow!
For quite a while Joe had a live performance during the show with an organist and singer Alan Gerard - have any of those performances?
