I am old, but almost all of my uncles, my father, my siblings, my husband, my sons-in-law and now my grands have served in the military. I didn't pass muster as they say, but I am as patriotic as anyone. I cry at all memorials. Thank you all for your service. P.S. Pray for one of my son-in-laws who suffers from severe PTSD, although he continues to serve his country here at home.

America will protect you too. That’s what we stand for. I’m Dutch, British, Scottish and a little German. My German ancestors came to the US in the early 1900’s. I’m proud to call you “friend.” 💕
My dad was an army grunt with the Normandy invasion, one of the approximately 50% of our forces that landed and made it through. I saw a documentary a few years back where they were talking to both American and German veterans of that battle. One of ours told a story of trying to get over a fence they were pinned down behind. He said that all of a sudden there was this tiny young man, bleeding from the neck, who came up next to him with a metal pole that must have weighed almost as much as he did, and they used the pole to push down the fence and scramble to safety. That was my dad. He came home with shrapnel in his neck and memories that still had him crying in his sleep 30 years later when I was a little girl. The only thing he loved more than his country was God, and I carry his legacy through my family, from marrying a marine whose only son became a minister, losing him to cancer, marrying a soldier and losing him to another soldier, then marrying an airman and eventually having 5 sons, one of whom was sent to Kuwait and came back broken but still standing.

Do we have it all figured out? Absolutely not, but we soldier on as a nation because we defend our friends and brothers the world over, with no thought for ourselves or the danger. Not for the glory, for we have often been reviled by those we seek to save. No, we do it because it is the right thing to do.

I judged a high school debate on military spending and it was extremely clear that some don’t respect the men and women in the military. After the round, I told the students that it is possible to be against war/spending but to never equate that with your respect towards the men and women who have given their all to give each and everyone one of them the life they have. It’s not their decision to go to war and so much of the spending is because of contract companies anyway. I will always stand for the flag, I will always support our troops and I will never apologize for my pride for our country. I wish every American would be as excited and educated as you are on our own country.
As always a wonderful wonderful rendition for our warriors our soldiers are fighting men and women God forgive the politician to cause so many deaths recently because I know I can't.

Very nice video. It is a shame that our enlisted ranks don't have equally competent and dedicated warrior general officers to lead them rather than Warton school leadership officers protecting their careers and retirements.

They were babies
Young they were agreed we must remember, them as Men and make sure that those responsible for their deaths in the politics of this administration, pay for the loss of those young men's lives. And all the ones who would treat human beings as political pawns in their deadly game. I am a Patriot I am an American, and I proudly stand with all of our military forces men and women that are true American Patriots, but those that lead them are no more and no better than politicians, and they don't deserve any respect they don't bleed on the battlefields. P.S. I forgot to mention the young woman soldier that was killed in the attack apologize for the oversight she had her life out of her and a newborn child who will never know it's mother she sacrificed her life for America for freedom and for the right of Justice they all must be remembered as valiant Patriots, and soldiers who lay down their lives, and also those who fight sacrifice so much, and their families as well.
My dad enlisted the year he graduated high school and just after Pearl Harbor. He enlisted at 17 yrs old, served on a battleship in the Pacific.
