    Love how easy it looks to take those bolts off. They are tight as heck and give you a arm workout!

    For the upper trim clip, if you strip them out...just screw a drywall screw or something similar into it, then pull it out by the screw head.

      You totally saved my ass with this tip, thanks man! Was replacing my fog lamps yesterday and the only way to get to them without removing the entire bumper is from the top, and of course I stripped both plastic screws immediately. No idea why Jeep didn’t use the same clips as on the lower splash guard.

      This just saved me a ton of frustration too! Wanted to do a simple LED fog light install to replace the stock ones and knew this had to be possible without removing the bumper. But those damn top clips were stripped out. Sure enough this worked perfectly!

    Those screw clips on the upper trim panel are absolutely absurd. I have undone them half a dozen times and had to drill them out every time. I finally bought a box of 20 to keep on hand. You guys should sell a master clip set with at least 10 of every plastic clip and retainer on the JK!

    I found it necessary to break the hold of the 8 main nuts with 1/2" breaker bar. Just didn't have enough leverage with any of my 3/8" drives.

    I’m horrible with part names but I damaged bumper pretty bad and I can’t find a diagram that shows the part I’m looking for! I don’t know what you would call it but it’s those two front beam looking pieces that were revealed once the bumper came off. If anyone could tell me the name of those parts very much appreciated!

      I have the same issue. Deer ran out in front of me and clipped my front bumper. Tire is rubbing the plastic damn when I’m in reverse and the wheel is turned all the way to the right. You find out anything?

    When you're taking off the air dam, are those droplets on it from the well known leaky radiator that jeep knows about but won't commit to fixing? Just curious. Kidding of course. Thanks for the video.

      Smh, my 2013 Rubicon seemed to leak from day one... as soon as we replaced the radiator the dang oil cooler failed...since I replaced plugs and coil packs when we did the radiator going back under the intake to get to the poorly designed cooler really was FUBAR :-(

    If you haven't already, could you make a video on removing bumpers from pre-2007 JKs? I may be getting a 2005 2-door JK from my grandpa because it hasn't worked in years and he doesn't need it and the stock bumpers with the whistles don't look very good.

    2015 Wrangler Sport. Seems easy to take of the factory bumper. Someone just backed into the drivers side front plastic portion and put a big dent in the plastic portion. Is the bumper all in one or is the hard plastic portion replaceable. Dealer wants $450.00 just for the bumper and another $150.00 to install

    • @Quadratec
      @Quadratec  6 лет назад

      The plastic bumper cover can be replaced, we do have a few less expensive options than a mopar cover: www.quadratec.com/categories/jeep_bumpers_towing_racks/front-bumpers/front-stock-bumpers
      however, you should be able to pick up a stock bumper on craigslist or facebook marketplace for really cheap after someone upgraded to an aftermarket bumper.

      Doesn't have to be a specific size. Just make sure it's larger than the center part of the pop clip.
