She was a couple of beats too early, and if you are musician, you can hear that and you can see her being lowkey lost at the beginning, and the judge stepping in to help. General public can’t see that. Just as general public can’t hear each instrument when a song is playing, while a trained musician can hear what the bass is doing, what the guitar is doing etc if no one helped her it would prob been a mess by the end, with her having to restart again or making a fool out of herself.

I've been captivated listening to one after another of her... she makes me weep! God I love the Ukrain for bringing her to us. I can't stop crying for joy, wishing I were the one she sings to. I know this clip is years old, but what the judge said at the end burns me up. Reminds me of my art teacher telling me I was drawing or painting wrong. Stephen Nicholas The thing is that this song it's very difficult and she missed a couple of notes and fell a bit flat at some points. It stills sounds well but she didn't sing all the notes correctly like in the original song. Either way, her voice is beautiful and that song is extremely hard to nail so I applaud her for trying.
Um and you say this without considering her situation. Of course their can be tiny imperfections when it is only your nerves holding you together on a stage. She has probably been dreaming this moment over and over every day for months. Yet I was simply too stunned by the "quality" of what we herd at face value, she touched hearts and filled the moment with a breath of fresh air that does not happen too often in my opinion. You only need to look at her to understand that she was singing with her heart. She did not try at all, she created something better than what was hoped for.
There is no doubt about what you are saying. But the judges are professional singer/musicians and they catch those tiny imperfections and they have to judge what is presented to them. They can't judge based only on emotions because it wouldn't be fair for the other contestans. But in the end she won the competition so this was just a low moment
I didn't mean to talk bad about her. I study Music and I could tell she had some issues with the intonation and that's why I said she didn't do very well. But she is still an amazing singer!
Aida Nikolaychuk has an uncanny ability to sing with compassion and commitment. Her voice is strong, delicate, and moving all at the same time. She's a really beautiful woman and totally humble. The way she sings "I Wanna Run to You" would've made Whitney Houston proud.
I think delicate is a good choice of word. She seems to be able to sing with reading-point emotion and just loudly enough for us to make out every word. She's not a screamer. I really appreciate that.

I have watched these judges on many occasions, and quite frankly they do not show any level of professionalism on many levels. Their sour-faced facial expressions during all performances are nothing short of rude and and distracting to the artists. The fiasco asking this artist to sing acapelo during her original audition was proof of their stupidity and lack of experience.

She has a beautiful, natural voice. She seems to get hung up on phrasing but that could simply be the Russian-English translation. Just a few hiccups but that is it. I see her singing more new age style of music than pop. The first song she sang (other video) had a chord structure along the lines of Enya and she absolutely killed it. Lovely lady, lovely voice.

This guy just said to her that 5 mln watches are nothing beyong 4 judges decision. That made her busrt into tears but in fact she then passed this stage and performed in X-Factor Ukraine under this glassed guy mentorship and became official winner of X-Factor-3 Ukraine

I know this clip is years old, but what the judge said at the end burns me up. Reminds me of my art teacher telling me I was drawing or painting wrong. Art is expression in just about any form, and she's got it in spades. This being the second video I've watched of her. Gonna browse more vids and check the internet for more of her.

as an 80s kid whitney was part of my childhood and was a defining icon in the music industry. it's good to see somebody so talented keeping her legacy alive.
She is very striking, and her voice is absolutely beautiful. I loved Whitney Houston, but we don't need another Whitney. We need an Aida Nikolaychuk. She has has such a lovely voice, even when I do not know the language. So happy that RUclips lets us see who else is out there in the world. And she is only beginning. I WILL buy her music.

I've seen her audition and without knowing what the hell she was singing I was still mesmerized and so were they. Her voice was so beautiful and on point they thought she was lip singing! This performance was amazing as well and might have been perfect if that judge would have kept her mouth shut. I'd imagine it was quite shocking to have a judge start singing with you

Was it just me, yet I thought her voice was so beautiful and clear. Well I do not know what that first judge said to her, yet it did not look very professional at all.

Stephen Nicholas The thing is that this song it's very difficult and she missed a couple of notes and fell a bit flat at some points. It stills sounds well but she didn't sing all the notes correctly like in the original song. Either way, her voice is beautiful and that song is extremely hard to nail so I applaud her for trying.
Um and you say this without considering her situation. Of course their can be tiny imperfections when it is only your nerves holding you together on a stage. She has probably been dreaming this moment over and over every day for months.
Yet I was simply too stunned by the "quality" of what we herd at face value, she touched hearts and filled the moment with a breath of fresh air that does not happen too often in my opinion. You only need to look at her to understand that she was singing with her heart. She did not try at all, she created something better than what was hoped for.
There is no doubt about what you are saying. But the judges are professional singer/musicians and they catch those tiny imperfections and they have to judge what is presented to them. They can't judge based only on emotions because it wouldn't be fair for the other contestans. But in the end she won the competition so this was just a low moment

Aida Nikolaychuk has an uncanny ability to sing with compassion and commitment. Her voice is strong, delicate, and moving all at the same time. She's a really beautiful woman and totally humble. The way she sings "I Wanna Run to You" would've made Whitney Houston proud.
I think delicate is a good choice of word. She seems to be able to sing with reading-point emotion and just loudly enough for us to make out every word. She's not a screamer. I really appreciate that.

I have watched these judges on many occasions, and quite frankly they do not show any level of professionalism on many levels. Their sour-faced facial expressions during all performances are nothing short of rude and and distracting to the artists. The fiasco asking this artist to sing acapelo during her original audition was proof of their stupidity and lack of experience.

She has a beautiful, natural voice. She seems to get hung up on phrasing but that could simply be the Russian-English translation. Just a few hiccups but that is it. I see her singing more new age style of music than pop. The first song she sang (other video) had a chord structure along the lines of Enya and she absolutely killed it. Lovely lady, lovely voice.
