Nice to see you applying your skills to give us a view of The Lakers over the winter. Your usual great drone work is on full display. Thanks for another educational and enjoyable video.
I've got two videos coming out from the Cleveland area. The first shows the American Courage and the John G. Munson. The second will follow the Northern Venture as it heads up the Cuyahoga River to deliver a load of stone. They should be out in the next week or so.
The H. Lee White is laid up in Buffalo at the Frontier elevator this year. She's just been unloaded on 3-1 & going to have some major work done on her bow thruster now for a few weeks. The tug Thomas R Morrish is also laid up here with her derrick boat the Ryba 150 & the SS Columbia is here too.
This was a great video. I loved your infectious enthusiasm for what you were doing. Love that you use ambient sound! Thanks for the effort John, Burlington, VT
Awesome Video as Always Man! They’re all about efficiency! That’s what I like! You got some Spectacular shots of those ships! Keep Up the Great Work Man!! 👍👍👍
Thanks Jackson! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun to film. I'm working on putting together a trip to catch the Cardinal in several spots through WVa. I may have some questions for you on locations to catch it. I'll reach out when I figure out when I'm going to make the trip.
@@nkyrailfan Keep up the great work! I also like your videos of the intermodal facilities (like the Appalachian port). I’d be interested in seeing the operations of other intermodal yards.
The birds you hear are mostly in the water. I recorded them at Cullen Park. The drone can't record any (usable) audio because of the spinning propellers.
Very informative and interesting. Good photography with all the aerial views. However the sound quality is a problem. I had to increase the volume every time the man spoke (representing the shipping association) and then turn it down so the narration isn't too loud. This reduced my enjoyment of the video.
What? You don't like Lake Michigan? Nothing about Illinois or Indiana. Gary Indiana no longer makes one pound of every six made anywhere in the world as it did in the nineteen forties and fifties, but there's still a lot of lake freight down here especially if you are talking agriculture.
I just haven't had a chance to visit there. I'm actually planning a trip to the Gary U.S. Steel facility. Please, let me know anywhere you think is worthwhile to stop.
Make your own video. My God, do you understand the effort he had to conjure up to do this and all for FREE to unappreciative you. THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU. Sorry, I’m a licensed therapist and I’m tired of these types!
I found a program to create the captions for the video. If you go back and watch again they should be there. My apologies for not doing so in the first place. I'll make sure all my videos include captions from now on.
I very much appreciate the no frills audio and the excellent drone footage.
Excellent drone footage and your interview with Mr. Peace expanded my understanding of shipping so much. Thanks!
Thank you very much! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. Mr. Peace did a great job and provided a lot of great information.
I don't know why but I'm fascinated with this...great job!
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I had no clue ! Great content and be certain to thank Mr. Peace for his service to our great nation.

Hey Terry!
This was a fun video to create.
I learned quite a lot while making the video.
In turn that makes watching them even more exciting.
Hope you show more ship on the great lakes thank you

Wow amazing video! Thank you for posting! Not much is said during winter layup so it’s nice to see high quality content on it!
Thank you very much.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It was a lot of fun filming the ships.

Thank you very much, John.
I really do appreciate it.
Simply a fabulous job with this video. Amazing details! Thanks for doing it.
Thank you very much, I really do appreciate it.
The goose and seagull filler noise works.
I would like to see more of that Erie Trader ship. Never seen that one.

Thanks for your video. Watch these ships on Duluth cams. Love the older ones.
Great footage.
That’s a great video!!!! Very educational. I learned more about the industry and the processes
I just came for the bird noises. 10/10 well done!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
I really do appreciate it.
I'll make sure to thank you in my next video too.
@@nkyrailfan Keep up the great work! I also like your videos of the intermodal facilities (like the Appalachian port). I’d be interested in seeing the operations of other intermodal yards.
I'll see if I can find more intermodal yards to record.
If any in particular come to mind, let me know and I will see about checking them out.
Excellent video. I appreciate your effort. Thanks for not adding music. LOVE NO MUSIC. Just seagulls lol
Thank you very much. I am glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Impressive footage!!!
the Cuyahoga in Ashtabula ended up catching on fire
Great video. Thank's 👍
Are the seagulls & geese angry at the drone ? Flying around it and yelling at it ?
The birds you hear are mostly in the water.
I recorded them at Cullen Park.
The drone can't record any (usable) audio because of the spinning propellers.
I love the laker videos just as much as trains and other industrial stuff.
Thank you, Terry.
I'm glad to hear you enjoy the videos.
GREAT!!! Thanks!
Nice drone image, but not enough duck hunters to shut them up so we can have better earing of your guest.
Just noticed the Edgar Speer is having surgery done on her self-unloading system.
MOST of the soundtrack birds are geese NOT seagulls.
Stewart J Court is the best ship interlake has

If a big war would start we would more ship .shiping around the clock
I don't believe Washington has spent $10 unupgrading. Any shipyard in this country in fifty years

"promosm" 😭
Theyre boats
I prefer when you cleanly and concisely narrate the ships and their purposes as opposed to interviews / talking heads.

@@RioJudy Get help
Damn seagulls are annoying.
Yet they expect the rest of us to pay to clear their shipping lanes
Look at how antiquated all of our ship yards are. Google shipyard in any country in the world? And they're so far superior it's ridiculous
Cheaper labor
We still get the work done been doing it for 15 years and I love it
Jones act is garbage
worthless without captions!!!

Man, what a difference! Thanks you very much, now I can watch and understand everything. Huge improvement! Much appreciated! @@nkyrailfan
I went back and added captions to my most recent videos.
Thanks for watching and again, I apologize for not creating captions in the first place.
I'll go back and watch them again!@@nkyrailfan
