Mobius is a corporation with unknown motives. With the aim of bringing the world "peace and order", Mobius created the STEM device, which connects human minds to an alternate dimension. In the aftermath of the first game's event, Detective Sebastian Castellanos was dismissed from the police department, and his story was not trusted by anyone. Desperate to find leads, Sebastian becomes frustrated and falls back into drinking, until three years later, his former partner Juli Kidman returns to inform him that his daughter Lily, thought to be dead years ago, is still alive but was captured by Mobius as the test subject for Union, a STEM world created with Lily's brain. Union, which is a reflection of Lily's mind, is extremely unstable, and Sebastian must race against time to rescue her and unravel the conspiracies of Mobius before it collapses. Meanwhile, he must confront different killers who had made their mark in Union, and face his own personal fears and past traumas.
We played the game on PC on Ultra settings. The game looks and feels amazing on PC. As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

Hey everyone! Five years late to the party but it’s too crazy of a coincidence to not comment. I voiced Lily in the game, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences of my career. To give context I was about 10-11, a working child actor, and this gig was the biggest thing I’d ever booked. Though I didn’t get the concept of the game (and frankly I’m glad they didn’t explain it) I was just absolutely ecstatic to be there. Everyone was so nice and guided me through everything; they were honestly the best team I could’ve asked for. I remember having fun screaming my head off in the booth 😂 and meeting other cast members on the breaks in between. They even gave me a second chance when I came into a recording session sick (a biiiiig no-no). To cut a long story short, this is the first time I’ve watched the entirety of the cutscenes (or game for that matter cause I’m sensitive to gore). Watching it I’m in awe of all the hard work everyone put in when finally seeing the results after all these years. I cannot stress how much of a team effort this game was, and my work was just a tiny piece of it. Even though it didn’t do as well as we expected, I still cherish this project so deeply to this day. Next time you play or watch anyone playing a video game, please appreciate the enormous amount of work and passion that goes into it. Creating something takes so much bravery. That’s all I have to say, I hope you all have an amazing day!😊

This game is trying really hard to be emotional but it’s not emotional at all. Sebastian is just a generic sad dad who always screams his daughter’s name. No emotional depth there.
Exactly! Its like they think if the characters just say everything that they feel or think that it makes it emotional and heart wrenching. But they never show the emotions. They missed so many opportunities.
It drives me crazy how they make Seb interact with his daughter the same way every time he sees her, "Sweetheart, my dear, i love you, Im sorry,give me a hug " It's like they think if he doesn't do that every time then he doesn't love her! 💢💢

I was disappointed with this game.
I think the Organization's goals should have been kept secret, with the Administrator having such a macabre and incomprehensible goal that trying to explain it would make a person want to commit suicide.
Valentini was supposed to be Ruvik's henchman who helped him enter the new Stem in order to corrupt Lilly's mind in order to turn her into a real psychopath in order to destroy the new Stem and Moebius. Aside from revenge, the reason he wanted to do this was because the Stem was preventing Ruvik from using his new powers (he would be able to manipulate the reality perspective of people in the real world, which, in his theory, could bend reality itself) in full, and that he would have taken a liking to the girl, wanting to corrupt her by believing that the people he cares about must see the true bizarreness of reality.
Finally, the Priest should actually be Ludovic's henchman, with a twisted and macabre view of religion and spirituality due to the fact that he discovered the Administrator's plan. He would serve as the villain of the story organized by Valentini. It's like that, I think to corrupt Lilly, Ludovic should want to get closer to her, earning her love and trust, saying that he wanted to release her from Stem, and to help him in that goal, Valentini would create this story in which the Priest was an evil villain who sought kill Lilly, and that his only hope of survival was Ludovic. Valentini would simply want to take pictures of the complete chaos, not directly participating in the story he created.
In other words, I think the game should alternate between Sebastian and Lilly, with Priest being the antagonist of Lilly's scenario, while Valentini would be the antagonist of Sebastian's scenario.
Perhaps Myra/the Matriarch could be something of a wild card to Ludovic if the Priest failed in his role. Due to her obsession with protecting her daughter and inability to face the real world again at the risk of losing her again, Ludovic could have corrupted her to the point where his own daughter would become afraid of her mother, and hence of her father out of paranoia, starting to trust Ludovic 100% (this would be the last option, as Ruvik preferred the girl not to lose her original loved ones, as he knows the pain of loss, preferring to corrupt them too so that everyone could be one sick, happy and united family).
I like your thinking. The stem people just seemed like petty bullies with no really goal or purpose.
This game was all over the place. It was like a bunch a people with different ideas all shoved their 2 cents into this game and stiched together this mess of stories, it didnt flow or make sense. It more so seemed to completely try to erase everything the first game painted.

I got a good feeling about his return since in the last moments of the game we see the Stem turn on completely alone once again. Perhaps It’s a sign that someone is still in control and, Who knows, might be Ruvik himself ?

My eyes are raining. The story is just well done. Even though i'm spoiling myself before buying the actual game i still will buy it. Though they need to fill the plot hole about Joseph and Ruvik. I was awaiting for a cameo or something.
I love the mixture this game has, and it reminds me of a blend of Silent Hill and Resident Evil (Biohazard). Although, this game tops it off.

This ending seems way too happy to be real. I'm glad that it happened, but a part of me was kinda expecting that the one of the Mobius guys shot Sebastian with their last strength and leaves Kidman to take care of Lily. But this ending makes me happy beyond compare

Mobius (or however the hell it's called) appeared in the first game and they where (or that's what I got from the dlcs) behind the events of the first game
Yeah Mobius and the STEM technology are what these games are about but I don't get why they had to use Sebastian and Kidman in the second game considering how little it is connected to the previous one (and how much Kidman was transformed, she looked completely different). Sure the first game hinted at something concerning Lily and Myra but the games are so different from one to another that it feels strange to go with a storyline that sort of directly connects the two game when in the end they are not really connecting at all

Ok, where's Ruvik? im sure it was him messing with the screen at the end, this game was like a DLC imo, giving Sebastian's story an end so in the third game we can get a new protagonist, possibly Juli, wich is perfectly fine, but still the story was meh, i mean 3 years since the past events, what has Sebastian been doing? where was Ruvik all this time?, just an excuse to pass the torch to someone else.
Maybe Ruvik/Leslie might make an appearance in the next game.

OMG I just noticed this is the same house in The Last of Us. That screen door that Joel opens at the beginning to look for Sara.
Kidman was a Nazi. This is what Zhu Yin Bin did to all the Nazi children, circumcision is only necessary for Jewish children because their penis is different from human penis, but for Nazi children who were human in genetics, Zhu cut their penis off and ate their male parts, and the children molt into form. Note that the real Kidman doesn't hurt or talk back to the Tall Man. If he ever did, the Tall Man would know that's not Kidman anymore, and Zhu had eaten that child. The Tall Man was Kidman's brother. They all were brothers. He's there to protect them from Zhu. It's heartbreaking in the end when the Tall Man pathetically wanted to confirm that their brother had not been eaten by Zhu again. Sebastian in Evil Within 2 was another Nazi child. Kidman was taking him back to the their hiding place. If they refuse and go after their mother, the Big Brother has to hunt them down and talk them out of it but if they insisted on continuing, the Big Brother had to kill them. That Kidman who shoots the Tall Man at the end of the game is not the same as the Kidman throughout. The real Kidman feels cool because he's actually human, but the one in the last scenes feels very fake, because he's not human. While away from Zhu's bad influence, the Nazi children felt more human and normal. They could fight against Zhu's parasite inside to some extent but watch a video of Journey to the West, when the fat pig pretended to be the female Buddha and chanted that tightening spell, it felt like that to them. In the end, Zhu kept telling the children that their mother was dead, that's why they went crazy. That was always Zhu's cruel final resolution, telling the children that their mother was dead. Lost in Vivo. You will see some of the Nazi children locked in the cells after they went crazy. Zhu forced the children to molt into Corgis so he could anally rape them. The reason why the "queen" always had Corgis is for this reason, and those he had were always long tortured Nazi children. You can notice the Corgis looking different over time. When a Corgi "dies" in the palace that always meant he had been eaten by Zhu. That underground is a real place. It's in Berlin. It's like that ill of repair because it always felt wrong so humans don't dare to wander too far into the tunnels. Read the Watchman's notes. He was the only person who could get around. He's the same as the Tall Man.
The same for the New York Subway. It's like that for the same reason. Watch the Strain, that's why they couldn't clean up and renovate there all these years down there. I know it's so easy to blame the Nazis or any group, but the truly evil thing there has always been only one and that was Zhu Yin Bin. He didn't like live humans because the souls of live humans repel them. So Zhu used the Nazi children's high intelligence to poison and dim down live humans, and this is why dying cities feel dark and heavy, because the life force had been forced out to hide somewhere that the Nazis or Zhu could not enter. Usually layline places where the energy force is so strong they cannot enter. Tahoma is such a place. Live humans feels rejuvenated visting there because they get a recharge. This is why it is so important to get some sun and outside air every day. In Inland Empire where is so much sun, we get enough being near a window but it's still not the same. Eat fresh foods when the life force is strong to recharge. Denatured packaged food has been another way for Zhu to dim us down. I feel alive after eating garden fresh vegetables and fresh meat and dairy, and clean spring water is best for hydration. Carbonated drinks contain large amount of CO2 so you feel heavy and tired if you drink too much. Take care of yourselves so we can take care of each other.

The fact the stem thing happens doesn’t amaze me what does is at 3:40:00 the girl is able to sleep all through that I can’t even get sleep for more than an hour at a time and I get woke up easily
Just from seeing some cutscenes of this game I can see why it flopped and was hated by many people… the storytelling is a lot worse than the first game and the dialogues are really cringe!
