The casual normal conversation among the family members during cooking process especially with elderly mother and grand parents brings me back my old child hood memories and feel the void left behind after their death so when ever I watch thiscooking blog I get emotional and involve myself completely into it Well then what anyone can say anything about the dish that's made THE COOKING IS DONE BY MY MOM I FEEL LIKE THat taken some liberty on her and thoroughly enjoy every thing made by her following her process
My mother is from Ambasamudram and my father is from Krishnapuram. Both are no more. Lost my Appa in July 2021 and with that went my tie to our century old home in Krishnapuram. Once the elders are gone the home just becomes a house! It is so nice to listen to your Amma and Patti.. Takes me back to my mothers relatives in Ambsamudram and Ambur. Well done to you for keeping the heritage alive. I love your programs.

It’s pretty hard. Sanitation is terrible people crapping on streets. No ac, pollution everywhere.public service is hell, mosquitoes and many more. But to live in my traditional house is priceless
Thank you so much Ganesh. I did not want to enumerate it and you did so. Also those used to western toilets find it very difficult. What we did in our Tharavad is convert one of them into a western closet for those coming from abroad. And the elderly who cannot use Indian toilets. Without a doubt Ganesh living in that house is a treasure as it filled with good vibrations and so much nostalgia. I loved the 2004 video. Amma looks so gorgeous. She does so even now.
