Richard and Lisa a good blog, you will get the hang of boating just enjoy it. As captain Chris says on his instructions when he is on somebodies boat showing how it steer and docking " GOOD JOB ". Try running on one engine when slow cruising on the river, but use both when manoeuvring. Use both engines alternatively daily to keep the engine hours the same.
Thanks for taking the time to comment John, I’ve tried running on a single engine but it’s a nightmare with stern drives. The marine engineer has suggested that he tries to fit newer morse controls as the current ones stick like mad which doesn’t help matters. I’m hoping that once we have new controls the boat will handle better. I’ll keep you updated on the running on one engine idea. Rich

I used to keep my last boat in Brundall, how do you find your boat going at slow river speed?.my last boat was a bayliner it had a outdrive with a powerful engine it didn't drive very well at slow speeds and boat was difficult to keep it in a straight line, was wondering how your boat does does?
I can’t lie Mark it’s challenging, at tickover the boat is doing 4mph, if the tide is pushing then it’s a nightmare. Trying to handle the boat is difficult but I think it’s a case of learning the boat is going to be key. We have two weeks on her in May so I’m hoping I can get to grips with things.
Thank you for commenting, we’ve looked at a few churches in Norfolk and it appears to follow the French tradition. Very interesting and something we will do more videos of.
