She’s never quite understood why she didn’t continue to be a Star over here - she needs to take a look at this clip to find out; you’ve only got to listen to her talk - and see how she fakes it in America! She doesn’t listen to a word Dorothy is advising her. (which was good advice) Just as soon as one of her singles doesn’t have much impact on the Charts over here - she goes to the U.S., instead of working on it. Dorothy had warned her - indeed ‘hoped’ for her sake, that she’d have a couple of flops, so that she could build on the experience and become as big a Star as she was. The trouble is, modern performers can’t wait; they want fame and fortune overnight and will do anything to get it - not true and genuine talent.
