Thankyou easiest most efficient way to spot it out.. I was able to easily spot buyer trying to sell me fake one as genuine. I was able to skip and detect it so easy
Samer Ali I uploaded this video about a year ago, and this was the comment I was actually expecting. I’m glad it helped, it’s the reason why I decided to upload it.
@@robertoguerrero3552 yeah Thanks man I could also find out a cheap real used qc35 by the phone without even seeing the pair yet.. It also updated to the newest firmware with the app serial number matching what is on the speaker itself
Counterfeits have become so realistic that physical differences can be microscopical. Most effective way is to have the headset connect to the bose connect app. Only an original headset will connect - counterfeits cannot connect to the bose connect app.
Hey there! Could you please help me? I'm buying a used bose quietcomfort 35 I and to verify if it's authentic, the person who is selling it sent me the serial number. I tried to register this serial number on Bose website and it works. My question is, can i confirm it is original with the registration or do i need to connect to the app?
i ordered this item, and its on sale 80percent off but it hasnt delivered yet the seller says its on big discount because its a mall full out,do you think this legit?
Eliot King 1)try updating your mobile device to latest software and also updating your app. 2) try forgetting all Bluetooth devices on your device and start a new connection.
I bought my QC35 on eBay. It connect to the app and I have also managed to update the firmware. Unfortunately it looks that the assistant voice and the overall sound quality are lower than the one on display in Bose corners in shops. Do you think that just pairing them up would be sufficient to say whether they are counterfeit or not?
Not only pairing them, but also updating the firmware. Try adjusting noise cancellation from the app, equalizer, etc. Maybe they are adjusted differently from when you tried them at the store.
Im guessing you want to use a "Bose" website to register, and the serial number that came with the headset. Usually replicas will use the serial number from an original pair of headsets and place it on their replica headsets. When registering, you are most probably using an original headset serial number...
And whats worst is you can register 1 serial number as many as you want. I have the original Bose Soundsport Wireless, registered it under my name and email, then I got the registration notification email. Then I try register it under another name and email, and I got the registration notification email on the 2nd one too..
For me, the app recognises the headset and then when I swipe it was "connect" for a bit then will fail. But then my phone will prompt me if I want to pair with a device and once I except that the bose app opens on the normal screen with my headphones. Is this normal?
Edward Bird I’d recommend you update your phone software and app software if you haven’t done so. Also, delete your Bluetooth history - devices that you are not using anymore. If it connects to the app it’s not counterfeit (which is the purpose of this video)
thanks a lot for the video, it helped a lot and I know now that I got ripped :( As you've commented already they look almost identical to the original ones but there are some small differences. It was also sealed so I couldn't imagine at first that they could be fake! If the seller won't take them back, do you know if Bose can do something about it?
Although it would be very subjective, you could try and look for the "physical differences". Counterfeit products won't meet Bose's high end quality, but they could trick the untrained eye. Best way by far is to connect to the bose connect app, since counterfeit products are not able to do so.
Roberto Guerrero oh okay, it's cause I got some that are brand new sealed. They're coming soon and I just wanna know what to look out for. Are there any things I should look out for when I am unboxing them? I will definitely try the app for sure though, thanks on that.
Alexander I made this video because I almost bought a counterfeit set on Craigslist. It looked exactly like the real ones but it wouldn't connect to the bose app. The box was a big give away though, since in my case I owned a pair of qc25's and the box was a low quality card board with fading logos and bad letter printing (words were so faded it was hard to read). Counterfeit market gets better every day and don't be surprised to find a counterfeit set with a 1:1 replica of the box or the headset, matching serial numbers, etc. They will fool any untrained eye, therefore I believe that the "Bose connect app test" is the best way to go to check and see if you have an original headset.
I have bought some Bose QC30 in China, the outside looks like shit, but app connect method for authentication works, pretty sure they just took some used qc30 inside parts and remanufactured into a “new” one.
Ok. Cool. Allow me to add my two cents worth from Downunder.... You can only buy genuine American Bose in the USA. Or here in Aussie from the Bose distributor.... However The Bose Corp. have been very smart in recognizing the fact that the Chinese were gonna copy them cheaper and licensed out the manufacture of the headsets and accessories to various countries for final assembly in China. I have a refurbished Chinese Bose QC 1 set. The plugs were made in Mexico, Thailand and Malysia and are of the highest Bose Supervised quality. The highest. My Yank mate brought his genuine ones around and we tested them side by side. The U.S. set at $1200+ were only a teeny bit better at very high volume. Maybe 5 percent, but we're talkin ear damage territory here!. My clones, NOT fakes, clones cost me $120au. I love them! . NO WAY are the originals 10 times better than my beautifully crafted Bose clones. The Chinese can manufacture stuff to the highest standard and are a HUGE market presence here. They don't like ripoffs of their licensed clones either.... hope this clears things that,up a bit. Cheers .JA.

I thought he will show the difference when a fake one tries to connect to the app
*I would mess with my neighbour's so hard if I could connect to his speaker*
So with the app on smartphones the fake ones Bose products doesn’t work? Can we see just with that tool?
Great tip to use the app.
I would like to know physical differences if effectively they existed because is more direct way to identify and one could approach by photos

very useful, thank you!
does this apply to the bose 700? Help my g

I didn't understand the main point.. is that if the device show in the Bluetooth it's fake ??
R.3en
If it doesn’t connect to the Bose app, it’s fake
Roberto Guerrero thank you very much 🙏🏻
Does this test also apply to Bose Quiet Comfort 35ii ?
Edin Mujezinovic it should
Mike come up on the app but says something that it can’t connect it any ideas why ??

Yeah cheers I forgot my headphones on my phone and it worked after abit if trying thankyou for the vid 👍🏻
Eliot King glad it worked and helped 👍
Why cant i find the app in the app store??

Thanks for the very effective and informative video Braahhh
If a refurbish unit of qc35 cant connect to Bose Connect apps, does it mean the product is fake?
Reburshed units (original ones) should connect without any problem. Make sure app is updated, unit bluetooth is on and ready to pair on the bose app.
Roberto Guerrero if the seller mentioned that the unit cannot be connected to bose connect apps, is it still ok or is it a imitation product?
Its most probably an immitation, reported stolen set, or simply a set that has not been upgraded (firmware).
Roberto Guerrero thanks for the info. Most probably I should buy it then

I just bought mine from eBay. I couldn't connect via the app or the cable.
damn how much you pay for it?
Tan Nguyen sorry to hear that. Where you able to connect now? Did you follow the steps? I hope you didn't get scammed. 👎

Cannot tells other possible hidden problems but the model of the bose. right?
Mine look different and there’s no blue tooth logo

But my question is why the made in china Bose qc35ii are connected to the application
Pierce -Aaron made in China “bose” are not recognized by the app.
I don't understand, they're all made in china , no? (the real and the fake ones)
Aurélie that’s why I used the “ “, as in not original Bose product, but a replica
@@robertoguerrero3552 ok thank you :)
I bought the qc35 and they connect to the app but the name says “onyx”.. any idea as to why?
It happens sometimes. You need to clear the Bluetooth memory and update softwares.

That happened to me to
But we met public and I would i have never thought of that you need the app to tell if they are fake or not
Can connect Bose connect apps with fake Bose QC 35?
No. Bose connect app will only work with original headsets.
I tought Nas reviewed these..haha ! you sound like him

I learnt mine is fake , when it pairs if it says only "connected" and doesn't appear in the app it's fake. So annoying :(

Can we verify fake headphone by serial code checking in Bose website?
Most counterfeit or "fake" headphones will have the same serial code from an original headset, so its not a valid method...
I just found out my were fake also by contacting Bose over headphones I bought also, so now I'm kinda stuck. Awesome info thank you!
hmm imma try this
