+DeadmanInc336 When I went there yesterday for gradventure, everybody was just a bunch of boring old Americans... So then, to annoy my friends, I spoked in a British accent.
These wands are expensive. But if you go to Universal often its worth it. I went to the Hollywood one and I'm close enough to benefit from a season pass and honestly I'll gladly go back and use mine. It helps bring the books and movies to life and makes you feel like a witch or wizard. And it works like a charm (pun intended).
I think you are right but for people like me who doesn't live even in the states maybe buying a wand can be a little pricey. I know I wont get one even if I want to get Snape's, might use that money in other stuff or attraction in Universal Orlando .
Maya Potato I went there like 2 years ago and by that time I had luck because I had a family who worked there and had discount but still wands were expensive. Now the butterbeer was fantastic coulnd't get chocolate frog hopefully soon I can go and get one at least.
Explore the wonders Yeah, they're fun but certainly not cheap. I hope you got to enjoy yourself and can visit the park in the future. The chocolate frogs are quite big and do come with collectible cards, and they're good. I don't get to go to the park often at all (despite being relatively close to the Hollywood one), though I did get a wand I couldn't get a robe (which was no joke $100).
TheOboreruFish if the spells actually worked I'll use Crucio on everyone I hate and if they try to revenge I'll use Imperio to make them act like idiots in front of everyone and if they try to revenge once again I'll just simply say it . AVADA KEDAVRA
You're joking right? A lot of this technology is sold to universal from Disney. Plus Disney has a card game that is similar, a little bit older tech but they are focusing on Avatar land and soon Star Wars land.
I'm not saying they are terribly behind and don't get me wrong I love universal. But Disney has had this tech and something similar for almost two years. now. It's called sorcerers of the magic kingdom. Very similar concept expect you play with cards. And I have gotten this information from people who work within the company. Disney and Universal do business and trade things all the time.
When I get my wand, Im going to point it at random strangers and say "Wingardium Leviosa!" Then im going to find people dressed in all black, point my wand at them and shriek "Expecto Patronum!!!!!!!!!"
Extra value for extra money. And for me, who loves the sights and the attractions, it's something okay to miss out. But I love the detail anyways, so totally worth the money!
I was stuck wether to get Dumbledore's wand or sirius black. i got Dumbledores in the end :) It was sooo much more fun whenever i visted the harry potter area! I recommend these wands!
Mr.1776 Aren't the wands they sell from the Nobel Collection? If so, then they should still have the Elder Wand available since you can still buy it on the website.
No they do not sell noble collection wands. They sell their own, and yes they have the elder wand. In the character wand section if you buy Dumbledores wand. That one is the elder wand.
I was hoping they would have made the interactive wands have at least one feature you could use at home. For example, perhaps a bright LED at the tip that responds to the spell Lumos. Just so kids (and us adult fans) would have use for it at home.
I have hermiones interactive wand and my brother has Harry's! Sometimes you have to do the spells more than once and in ollivanders they do the choosing with the NON interactive wands :) x
All you have to do to make your wand interactive is to adhere a highly IR reflective material to the tip, like gold or silver. The original HP interactive wand uses a reflective glass bead.
Can everyone do this? I don't mind to buy another one to do this awesome thing. It's amazing what technology can do now, it made my Harry Potter dream to have a wand and actually interact with the stuff around me true. I'm totally coming back to USO for this.
So from reading the comments I guess the wand I have that I got from Hot Topic isn't going to work with the interactive features huh? I hope they have these interactive features in the Hogsmeade that is going to be built in Hollywood
Oh cool I'm on vacation now and we went to universal yesterday. I got the same wand as the one in the beginning. Sadly I only had time for a couple spells because we were only going there for one day, so I just wanted to see the others.
How much are the interactive wands? My brother is going to take me after I read all 7 books and I was thinking this would be a fun thing for us to bond over since he loved Harry Potter as a kid and had me start reading it not to long ago.
Do you HAVE to do the whole movie bit to get an interactive wand? I plan on purchasing one next time I go and being the socially awkward person I am, I would prefer not to...
all the wands contain some sort of magnetic metal inside that creates the illusion your doing it but instead its the same stuff used in sensors at a store
I don't know if anyone noticed this.. but when the girl points her wand at the bird she says "incendio" instead of "engorgio".. Which means in this case the bird should have been on fire.. You're welcome. :3
So I'm going to universal this Tuesday and my mom came up with the idea that we share on because buying four wands would be expensive I think it's idea idk just a suggestion
I'm going to Universal for three days next year, for the first time. Should I get one of these wands? And do you get to choose a different wand if they give you one you don't like at Ollivander's?
Are they're more wands there now? I noticed the online store only has character wands for sale. And when they had the birthday wands up I didn't see this one.
OK looking for advice. Going to Florida and specifically for the Harry Potter section. Nothing else. I know that there are 2 sections for the Harry Potter. Can the 2 Harry Potter sections be done in one day if you ONLY go to those sections?
Are the wands free? Earlier this year I bought the wand with no special effects and don't intend on buying another one. If you have the older wand can you trade in? If not, how much are the new wands?
I bought Narcissa Malfoy's wand when I was there around 6-7 years ago. Is mine interactive? When I bought my wand I didn't know about anything being interactive.
That's pretty genius. You buy the wand and it only works inside the theme park. Your kids would be screaming to go back the moment they leave and realize it doesn't work outside. $$$$
Same technology used in Great Wolf Lodge for their magic quests. I'd say that Universal is still pretty behind. But whatever brings in the money I guess.
I like how everyone has to speak in an English accent. Adds more believably to the attractions.
+DeadmanInc336 When I went there yesterday for gradventure, everybody was just a bunch of boring old Americans... So then, to annoy my friends, I spoked in a British accent.
+Mr. Gecko the Salamander spoked?
Or spoke?
DeadmanInc336 we are not allowed to do accents, if you heard an english accent then that was a person who is actually from england
DeadmanInc336 You mean a “British” accent
But they over do the British Accent and it annoys me.
These wands are expensive. But if you go to Universal often its worth it. I went to the Hollywood one and I'm close enough to benefit from a season pass and honestly I'll gladly go back and use mine. Makes sense. In that case I recommend food and drink like butterbeer and chocolate frogs. The robes and stuff are a bit much
Maya Potato I went there like 2 years ago and by that time I had luck because I had a family who worked there and had discount but still wands were expensive.

That's not cheap at all, prefer to spend those at the candies or at the Weasley shop. Or who knows at another attraction like Jurassic Park
If these spells actually worked, I'd walk down diagnon alley screaming "Reducto" and start pointing at all the windows.
TheOboreruFish th3y do
TheOboreruFish
Im gonna use Wingardium leviosa to troll other :3
Float some table then smack it into their head hehe
If it worked :/
TheOboreruFish if the spells actually worked I'll use Crucio on everyone I hate and if they try to revenge I'll use Imperio to make them act like idiots in front of everyone and if they try to revenge once again I'll just simply say it . AVADA KEDAVRA
i'd throw out avada kedavra here and there (sorry not sorry)
im going to cry
Yup universal has definitely caught up to the imagineers
They were never behind
You're joking right? A lot of this technology is sold to universal from Disney. Plus Disney has a card game that is similar, a little bit older tech but they are focusing on Avatar land and soon Star Wars land.
Tyler Dye
that is not true. where are you getting these facts?
Tony BearJug Exactly...this thread is descending down to idiocy. Just let it die...
I'm not saying they are terribly behind and don't get me wrong I love universal. But Disney has had this tech and something similar for almost two years. now. My god what I'd give to go there once, I just wanna buy everything but everything is probably super expensive
+nobody interesting Under 50 bucks for the wand
That Car Guy that's nuts
nobody interesting Yeah i was surprised. The non functioning ones are 40 bucks... So i think they kind of nudge you to spend the extra 8 bucks LOL.
That Car Guy well if you're gonna spend such an incredible amount of money on a wand in the first place, might aswell go for the best then xD
+Bill Cipher Read my comment above... I'm horribly unlucky x.x
When I get my wand, Im going to point it at random strangers and say "Wingardium Leviosa!" Then im going to find people dressed in all black, point my wand at them and shriek "Expecto Patronum!!!!!!!!!"
Jennifer Henley I think youre amazing hahahah
Clap clap clap *roll eyes*
ha ha... ha
You're a really boring housewife, aren't you?
Shoulders of Giants :(
Silver Reads
Use avada kedavra
Extra value for extra money. And for me, who loves the sights and the attractions, it's something okay to miss out. But I love the detail anyways, so totally worth the money!
I love this! Hopefully Universal Studios Hollywood has interactions!
I was stuck wether to get Dumbledore's wand or sirius black. i got Dumbledores in the end :) It was sooo much more fun whenever i visted the harry potter area! I recommend these wands!
They are magical they actually work
I like that you added runesofmagic music to this video. :)
I'd point the wand at them, and shout an Unforgivable Curse.
Candice Muana Then they'll specifically make a Azkaban expansion (they title all new areas expansions) for you and lock you in there.
Candice Muana
Crucio?
Candice Muana I'd like to try avada kedavra
Autumn cutiepug
Oh hello

Does Universal sell replicas of the Elder Wand?
I have been there and last time I went, Yes they did. I don't know if they do anymore though
Mr.1776
Aren't the wands they sell from the Nobel Collection? If so, then they should still have the Elder Wand available since you can still buy it on the website.
Again, I went four years ago. When I went they had it, they may have them still. But idk. Last time I went they sold out of it in like 2 hours.
No they do not sell noble collection wands. They sell their own, and yes they have the elder wand. In the character wand section if you buy Dumbledores wand. That one is the elder wand.
The elder wand is Dumbledore's wand so, yes.
the Holly wood one barely had anything so I can't wait to go to the Orlando one
I was hoping they would have made the interactive wands have at least one feature you could use at home. For example, perhaps a bright LED at the tip that responds to the spell Lumos. Just so kids (and us adult fans) would have use for it at home.
So basically you move your wand, Wii style and boom! something happens.
wii1245 I think you have to say the incantation too
wii1245 You don't just move it. It's a specific way; but yes, Wii style.
wii1245 if the Wii was still popular that would be a hit game...
Matt Piavis You don’t have to say the incantation. It still works if you just do the wand movement
I have hermiones interactive wand and my brother has Harry's! Sometimes you have to do the spells more than once and in ollivanders they do the choosing with the NON interactive wands :) x
BEST USE OF INTERACTIVE GAMES EVER.
All you have to do to make your wand interactive is to adhere a highly IR reflective material to the tip, like gold or silver. The original HP interactive wand uses a reflective glass bead.
Callahan Covington i don’t have silver or real gold
i hope one day, there will be a magician come here and do magic tricks with the wand.
MAGIC is what you make of it. For i surely know. For my creator's sake.
I'm going there in 3 days! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awe:( I have to buy another wand.
Baylee Bubble dont think you do if you have one with a black ball in the tip of your wand
Interesting. I never knew you could do things with the wands.
I'm so excited to get my first interactive wand
I got one, and it's Sirius's! OMFG IM SO EXCITED IF I HEAD TO ORLANDO, FLORIDA!!!
The bird part, oh my god. That cracked me up.
YOU FORGOT THE MUSIC YOU CAN PLAY
This was wonderful!
now, I'm dying to go
it's like a more funded six flags .... it's alright . it is really fun if u are a diehard Harry Potter fan
This is definitely on my bucketlist. If any benevolent millionaires are out there- I would love a free trip to Orlando and an interactive wand!
Can everyone do this? I don't mind to buy another one to do this awesome thing. It's amazing what technology can do now, it made my Harry Potter dream to have a wand and actually interact with the stuff around me true. I'm totally coming back to USO for this.
Yes anyone with the wand can do it.
TECfan1 boooooom cant wait in three weeks going

It's like SOTMK!!!! Awesome!!!!!!
Not sure of the cost in-park but on the website they are $50, and the regular wands are $44.
What if you bought a wand already? Do you still have to buy another one to get the map?
Its not the map its the wand itself that is interactive the map just shows you the location
I have the elder wand and it is amazing and there also isn't a lot of people there.
i regret just getting a regular wand and not even going to ollivanders
How much are the interactive wands? My brother is going to take me after I read all 7 books and I was thinking this would be a fun thing for us to bond over since he loved Harry Potter as a kid and had me start reading it not to long ago.
They're $37.95, but I love them.
Mysticofshadowyhearts so what happened now?
Mysticofshadowyhearts 45
I need to go asap
I WANT TO GO SOOO BADD!!!!! Dx
That's rad !
Awesome!
I was there, but my wand wasn't magical. Need to make sure to buy one of these next time.
i cant wait for summer :)
Oh I wish I could go to the wizarding world of Harry Potter
this all seems very fun! I want to take my niece and nephew!
Did you have to buy a wand or is one provided?
You probably will have to buy them. Knowing Universal, you will have to pay an arm and a leg for one
Mr.1776 Heh. $45.99
good thing I already have one! To bad I'm not visiting universal resort any time soon
Harrison Mcisaac hc what you have won't work. They are new rfid wands
Harrison Mcisaac hc Yes, as kiwisoup mentioned, these wands have something similar to what a remote uses, an IR Blaster.
WHAT THIS ID SO COOL
What’s the name of the background song? Sounds lovely
Way Cool, I wish i want to go to that.
AMAZING 🤩
I don't know if anyone noticed this.. but when the girl points her wand at the bird she says "incendio" instead of "engorgio".. Which means in this case the bird should have been on fire.. You're welcome. :3
She actually uses Incendio to light the candle; that's where you see the smoke rising from.
b'awwww ):
It doesn't really matter because it just goes by the sensor. I did it today and I didn't say a word... :3
so cool
I read all the books and watched all the movies
Me to
Same
I just got mine today
So I'm going to universal this Tuesday and my mom came up with the idea that we share on because buying four wands would be expensive I think it's idea idk just a suggestion
I want to be there so bad!
+majestic burger wrapper
Sarah its only in the harry potter worlds that it works
That means I'll have two wands now :D
You can only get your own wand on the ceremony or you can buy your own no needing to have the ceremony?
I'm going soon and this was very helpful. I need to get a wand so I can be a wizard! ;)
They could do an actual town like this, where you can live :º
I'm going to Universal for three days next year, for the first time. Should I get one of these wands? And do you get to choose a different wand if they give you one you don't like at Ollivander's?
Are they're more wands there now? I noticed the online store only has character wands for sale. And when they had the birthday wands up I didn't see this one.
I wonder if when you get your wand, you get the one you got on Pottermore? Or they just give you a random one
I bought my wand at Universal Studios Hollywood. Would I still be able to use it if I were to go to the one in Florida?
I have one and I'm currently looking for a way to use it at home, possibly by using the kinect camera.
OK looking for advice. Going to Florida and specifically for the Harry Potter section. Nothing else. I know that there are 2 sections for the Harry Potter. Can the 2 Harry Potter sections be done in one day if you ONLY go to those sections?
Is it better to go at night or during the day? It looks pretty badass at night but might not do it total justice
Can you buy these wands from either Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade, or just Diagon Alley itself?
You can do magic with the interactive wand only when you are at Universal?
Where did you get that Diagon Alley map?!??!!? :O
Is the wand wood resin or plastic
*Once I get my wand I just want to yell avada kadava at everyone XD*
I think I'm going to take as long as Neville did to get epecto protrulom to get even one of these right!
Hailey d its expecto patrolum
I feel like going next to a car and saying alohomora then the next second the alarm comes on lol
Lol
+Supasonic8 no
+Supasonic8 no
The wand uses sensors like a wii remote
Do the specific movement, and activates
Are the wands free? Earlier this year I bought the wand with no special effects and don't intend on buying another one. If you have the older wand can you trade in? If not, how much are the new wands?
I bought Narcissa Malfoy's wand when I was there around 6-7 years ago. Is mine interactive? When I bought my wand I didn't know about anything being interactive.
It wont i bought harry's 5years ago and it doesn't work sadly:/
@@mordexdownsig3542 That sucks.
That's pretty genius. You buy the wand and it only works inside the theme park. Your kids would be screaming to go back the moment they leave and realize it doesn't work outside. $$$$
If i was there i would say I MADE IT TO HOGWARTS
I went there 2 days ago and I got one from the same place
Same technology used in Great Wolf Lodge for their magic quests. I'd say that Universal is still pretty behind. But whatever brings in the money I guess.
Lol then what were they supposed to do? Regardless of the technology the effect is the same.
Actually Great Wolf Lodge has batteries in their wand, these do not.
They have an IR tip, so when they are hit with Ir light they glow brightly. There are cameras there to detect the movement of the light. :)
